Inexpensive accomodations in Rovaniemi

Everything was prepared on a very high level and the taste was just amazing. The rooms are very spacious and generously equipped. Saunas are also very nice, one has even direct access to the river

The perfect arctic circle island with the most amazing hosts. Kyle is truly amazing and has real attention to your needs and Markus is a very gracious host. Perfect cabins and great restaurant

Perfect location on an island, nice atmosphere and great food. I've had salmon, overcooked beef, grilled and cooked potatoes with carrots and salad with mustard dip

It's open during the winter season. During summer they open it just for events, bigger groups or when they have at least six rooms reserved

Nice hotel in rovaniemi city centre. Great value specially if you are a budget traveller like me.

Old building but really clean and peaceful. We had a sink in our room which I liked it. There were also coffee maker, electronic kettle, fridge, microwave oven and some plates and glasses also. I liked our balcony.

One day we forgot our key and called him to open us and with no problem he came from where he is living to open us. No complaint or anything from his side, just a smile

All the rooms are with shared bathroom that was always clean, like nobody has ever been there. Everyday they are cleaning the room and throwing the rubbish

The bathroom and toilets were clean. I was welcomed to leave my luggage at the reception after checking out while walking in town and waiting for the bus

the cafe was great downstairs to hang out, but it was closed after 5. The hostel common area/kitchen was OK and I met some people, but just a bit boring. BEDS Most comfortable bed and pillow I've ever had in a hostel

I stayed both here and Hostel Cafe Koti while I was in Rovaniemi, so I will compare them. I like this hostel more though. You can tell the manager really cares about this place

Wherever Hostel wins this one too. KITCHEN Both were fine but I liked Wherever's kitchen more, and lots more goodies. CLEANLINESS Both were clean enough. But in Koti's, I could smell the pipes in some bathrooms

COMMON AREAS I was half-working remote and the common area was just wonderful. I fell in love the moment I stepped in. I was so productive on the giant couch thing. I also was so comfy working in bed

This may be unfair comparison b/c Koti is way bigger, but it is what it is. LOCATION Okay, this one is hard. I think I liked Koti's slightly better because it was closer to the river

But Wherever Hostel is closer to the train station, main mall, my fav restaurant, and a block away from the best bike shop in town. Still was only a 5min walk to the river

I was there for 6 days and it was perfect, the guy at the reception was extremely kind, all was super clean, the kitchen is very big, the beds are very good, very close to the Santa village, they give you advice for northern lights, taxi

That did not help either and finally we had to call the tow truck. The fact that he could not start the car did not diminish the fact that he really did his utmost to help

His very friendly colleague first came to help with his car and starting cables. That did not work but the next night he charged the battery for the whole night

First of all I can’t understand people who are giving less stars because the staff does not speak english. I have only good things to say about this place

My daughter’s car battery was so bad that the car did not start in the freezing weather (-25 C). The hotel manager was kind enough to arrange some help

We are very grateful for this service that many people would not have bothered to arrange

Common kitchen and common hall where every one can sit and have some nice chat. There are some utensils, dishwasher, woven. Overall its a nice stay and we enjoyed it. Its very close to santa village

We stayed in this hostel for 3 days, we are 8 people, it was quite comfortable for us since we all wanted to stay together. Rooms and beds are good, storage space is less but its OK for few days

Toilet and shower are very clean, the entrance friendly and you come with an online check in with code - so can come, if you want

5 stars for cleanliness, comfort and service. Enjoyed the stay at Hostel Tikka. Owner is very proactive and always reachable.

Beds are a bit narrow and the mattress a bit soft, but it was taken care that everything was new and up to date

It is difficult with transport - the bus runs 1 time per hour
