The reception. A very serviceminded and helpful receptionist, Barbie, got us all we needed and a very nice room too. The breakfast was very good.

Very centrally located with nice views to the market square, but the rooms are run down and decorated with bulk furniture without any sense of style. The front desk service was also somewhat random – we were given a cheaper room than we had booked, and once we accessed the first room and complained about it, we were told that the hotel may do so without any notification. Even though we eventually got the room we had already paid for, the whole episode made us feel like we were the difficult ones, instead of the receptionist. For a rate of over 200€/night you'd expect the opposite – top notch service and keeping the customer informed and satisfied no matter what. You'd probably also expect better quality breakfast, toiletries, beds and pillows. All in all highly overpriced and/or in need of a serious overhaul to compete in its current price range.

The hotel is 100 years old, the rooms are modest. But it wins by its location - in the central square, several restaurants and pubs downstairs. Nearby there are many shopping centers for every taste. There is parking for 15.5 euros per day, we take the elevator to the roof. There are a lot of people in the hotel, there is a sauna. I liked both the hotel and Turku

Not the best hotel here, but rooms are great with the nostalgic look and feel. Hotels own parking with car elevator to inside yard.

Probably the only price competitive alternative for a nusiness trip staying in Turku. Located directly at the market place with shopping mall at opposite and many pubs and restaurants around.
Only 20 minutes from airport.
Huge hotel with own pub and restaurant as well as dedicated sauna space.
Rooms are tidy, matrasses are good as well.

Hotel with an excellent location in the heart of Turku. The standard room we stayed in was big but dated. We slept well and the hotel wifi was fast.
Bathroom was huge but the shower was a tiny plastic stall in the corner and the doors were falling off from it.
The dreadful part of our stay was the breakfast. We were told already at the check-in that we should go to the earlier servings because the ones after 9:00am are packed. Well, we were on a holiday and didn't feel like getting up early in order to get our breakfasts. So, for the first time in my life I had trouble finding a seat at a hotel breakfast!
Hotel staff was polite and helpful. We travel with bicycles and we could leave them in a locked garage for the night. The bicycle storage itself was very bad - no bicycle racks, even a sign that expressly forbid locking your bike onto anything.
Would stay again but not for a premium price.

The queue to the reception was up to front door, so I went to bar and waited 20 mins for my drink. After an hour I gave up and went in the line. 30 mins later I finally was able to get my keys. The room was clean and the breakfast was ok. The service was friendly when you got there.
So if you don't like waiting, I would spend my money elsewhere. I could understand, if there is temporarily a long queue, but now the situation was the same for 2 hours.

Good customer service; clean and elegant rooms that come with all manner of comforts - including refrigerator, clothes iron, sewing kit, tea kettle and cups, bible, plus tea, instant cocoa, honey and a library of books in the hallway.
The hotel breakfast is massive and caters to all types of alternative diets, including gluten free nd vegan. The best hotel breakfast I've had in years!
