Where to stay in Turku

Good location, right next to the river. Rooms are very outdated and worn down. The air in the room stands still. Feels like there is no oxygen. Receptionist just told us that is because there is no airconditioning but it almost feels like that the rooms are not ventilated at all. Beds are nice and we enjoyed the breakfast as well.

The reception service is amazing! We had some need for help out from normal hotel duties and we got served better than we could have imagined! Room was clean and cosy. Breakfast is well organized with small specialities from normal daily routines.

I am baffled by the negative reviews this hotel has received. When we stayed in a family room over the Christmas period I was impressed by the size of the room, its cleanliness and the fact that there were three proper beds. The staff were were very accommodating and breakfast was delicious.

The reception was really helpfull with finding my lost wedding ring and it was found thanks to their actions ☺️ I can also otherwise recommend the hotel. Great location; close to the center but still easy parking. Good breakfast.

Reception area and breakfast restaurant were ok and clean, really good service. But for the room price the hotel needs renovation. Scandic hotels have little amenities so the room rate should be lower.

Good location only a short walk to the city centre. Parking Sundays on the street free of charge, any other day you must pay a parking fee. The hotel is outdated. The room was very hot (no air con) and you must expect noice from the street. Minibar in the room. Nice with single beds for the kids. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast.

A former luxury spa, perhaps a bit run down. The family room is spacious and the spa is nice. The place closes too early on weekends, so it's worth going for a swim as soon as you arrive. Hesburger was closed even though it was supposed to be open according to the opening hours. The food at the Classic Pizza restaurant came quickly, and food was good.

Kids like here, as hotel guests can also visit to water theme park. The hotel is a bit old, but still acceptable. I don't like the parking service -- hotel doesn't provide free or discounted parking for guests, and it is quite expensive, I spent almost 30€ for the parking.

It was our second visit to Holiday Club Caribia, Turku. Surprisingly we got exactly the same room to stay as of previous time in 2021. The swimming pools are the best part of the hotel, the rooms were not properly cleaned up, we found lots of dust in the corners of the room. Bathroom was better than the last visit. Overall, it was a good experience being in Caribia.

Very average hotel with poor adult facilities, but a great place for children. If you want to relax and spend time there as if you are in spa hotel, it is not a right place. Children are everywhere. Also they have quite bad sound isolation in the rooms. You will hear every cry.

I only used the spa. I loved that you can swim outside also in winter, the steam sauna and the jaccusi. The entire hotel otherwise is a bit old fashion though cosy. Good location with bus stop in front of the hotel, river very close by for great walks.

It is an experience. A new hotel with all the gizmos you can get in a hotel room, at an old prison. You would have expected a depressing experience, but they have created excellent rooms and kept the history of the place everywhere else. Great job!

Its a nice and cosy hotel. It's clean and affordable. They have a nice staff and a really good breakfast buffet that is way above average, with a large selection including healthy food. I enjoyed my stay and I would definetely go here again if I ever visit Turku again.

I stayed here for two nights late July, the room was clean, tidy and the breakfast was soooo good! Staff were kind and friendly and didn't hesitate to patiently help us with our booking. What I didn't like about the room was my view which opened to an ugly neighbor wall but I personally didn't really care about the view since I was in the city most of the time. I do recommend this place.

Booked a room for 3 adults. Located on top floor. Room was spacious and clean. Very quiet. Good location, right in front of bus station and 10min walk from main square. Great value for money, cool bar and friendly staff.

Great location, minimalistic design. At first sight, it looks ok. Yet, when you start using the room, you notice a lot of dirt (stains on the walls like someone dropped coffee, traces of products in the bathroom, etc etc). No soap or shampoo. Nobody does your room, so it is not nice if you stay many days.

New and freshly renovated rooms, very clean and beautiful view. The website has some issues tho, when trying to order an extra 2hours of time, after choosing payment method nothing happens, just a blank screen which was quite frustrating 😤

Our room is really cosy and well prepared. But as there is no reception and staffs here we cannot evaluate them. But we are happy to staying at Omena hotel.

The rooms are basic but there is everything you need. I used the hotel to take an early flight from Turku airport and it was a good choice because the airport is only 10’ by car. Breakfast is ok. Parking is free but you must remember to type your license plate on the tablet at the entrance. There is no reception but all the info are sent by email and SMS

A very nice hotel, suitable for vacation travel. It is far from the city. There are singers and bands performing on weekends, and you can experience local features such as saunas.

This hotel gives the impression that it had its heyday in the 1970s and not changed much since. Nearly everything looks a bit run down and dirty. Really nice and peaceful place! We were traveling with a dog and were pleasantly surprised when we found bowls and dog treats in our room. The territory next to the hotel is well maintained, with a beautiful view of the pier from the garden. We liked everything except the food in the restaurant. The buffet was expensive but the choice of dishes was very small.

Could update the rooms a little bit but it was nice anyway. Kind of stuck in the 90s. Food was decent and location is awesome. It's difficult to get any services from the Spa if you don't book well in advance.

Nice location in the middle of Turku's shopping pedestrian street. They have parking available. Really good service and friendly staff. Breakfast was phenomenal as always with Scandic, with clearly marked vegan options. Unfortunately the room was quite small with rather uncomfortable hard beds and not great pillows.

Located on top of Kupittaa railway station. Next to the hospital and a business district. Has some parking in the basement, and only 4 EV chargers. Luckily there are more of both just across the road. Rooms are nice. Little on the smaller side, but clean and comfortable. My biggest gripe is the build quality of the building itself. I booked the hotel because of its great location, just above the railway station Kupittaa as currently trains from Helsinki stop here and not in Turku main railway station. City Center location Have stayed here before, a couple of times.. like the location, the restaurant is ok, breakfast is very nice, roof top bar also very nice. The parking is ok, but when the departmentstore is closed you have to walk all the way around outside with the luggage… not so convenient.. the rooms are ok, but a little boring and worn. Lovely as always We tried a superior room and we can say that we prefer the standard. Bed was too soft and also there were more sounds then when we had room with window not pointing to tori area. As always excellent staff and room was clean and well lit. We only had one hand towel but it was fine since we were only staying one night.

You guys have the best shampoo ever XD. Everything was perfect. And gosh I wished I could find that shampoo where I live I will come again if I ever have the opportunity again [Edit-reply] Yes it was lumene's products however they told me they only sell that shampoo to you/ hotels.
