The location was excellent, and the reception was friendly. It was very clean. They only provided bottled water on the first day, so it would have been nice if they provided it every day, but I think it was a good deal because I had never had that happen in a hotel in Nice.

Very well located in this nice town of Avignon, major attractions and various stores in walk distance. There are small safe and refrigerator in the room.

First of all, getting to the rooms is difficult, especially if you are traveling with luggage, due to the number of stairs. This also makes it unsuitable for elderly guests. Additionally, the service is lacking, as they seem to prioritize guests from France. The servers are lazy and unwilling to prepare another set of breakfast for guests. Because of this, I would rate this hotel 1 star. The servers also complain a lot. In my opinion, this hotel should be rated as a 2-star hotel at best.

Don't let the photos on the booking websites deceive you! This hotel is not worth the money. The entire building including the rooms smell very damp and unpleasant. The air quality is very bad inside the rooms. The shower and toilet have small patches of mold.
I accidentally pulled the sheet off the bed. Underneath was filled with different kinds of hair and stains.
The electrical room next door was leaking water the entire time we were there. The floor was wet in the hallway. The sound of water dripping could be heard all the time. They had a bucket to collect the water but nothing was done to fix it during the time we were there. There were water stains on the ceiling.
The location is good, but the hotel is certainly not a 4-star hotel. The average rating on google says 3.9; on booking.com it was 8.3 when we booked. It feels like a 5 at most and is certainly not worth the money we paid ($500 for two nights).

The location is nice as it is close to all the major sites in Avignon and is easily accessible by any form of transportation. However, the soundproofing in the walls proves inadequate as you can hear people from other rooms taking a shower. At night, the lights in the hallways are motion activated, but they are bad at sensing when people are there. When you want to go to another family member's room or you want to go out on a walk at night, you have to wander around in a dark hallway and hope you don't fall on the inappropriately placed stairs. The rooms are also inaccessible to people with weaker bodies such as old people or people with disabilites as the elevators do not reach all the rooms and often times after using the elevator you still need to go up some stairs to get to their room. The breakfast tasted delicious and would've been easily very enjoyable had the staff not been so rude. When asked if they could refill the sausages when it had been finished, they dismissed the request immediately. They said they didn'thave any more left, come to find out they already had some cooked and just refused to bring them out. When they finally did bring them out, the staff kept staring and pointing at us as if we had done something wrong. Overall, the hotel was very unwelcoming and I would recommend looking for other hotels around the area.

Our stay at Hotel Le Bristol was off to a very good start when we were welcomed prior to check in by the lovey staff. We dropped off our bags and were handed a map of Avignon and given lots of advice of where to go, eat and enjoy the area. How positive! Over the course of our stay the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. They serviced our rooms with attention to detail every day. There was the occasional forgetting to replace a coffee pod or cup. However, no matter what we needed (which wasn’t much) they were very happy to oblige. A short walk from the train station and the main eating and tourist areas, it is perfectly located. I can’t comment on breakfast as we chose not to include this in our booking, knowing also there would be plenty of places near us to try. I will definitely recommend to family and friends for their visit to Avignon.

NOT a 3 star and more a 2.5: cheap rooms, old bathrooms with cracks, and WORSE: woke up with smell of sewage from bathroom and smelled like you know what. Awful.

The sound proof of the room is bad. The cleaning is bad, didn’t wash our glass, didn’t refuse the toilet paper. The quality of towels is bad, better use your own. The location of hotel is good, a lot of nice restaurants nearby.

Advantages: Very close to the train station, the lobby is beautifully decorated.
Disadvantages: The air flow in the room is very poor. There are mosquitoes when the window is opened. At the same time, the sewer smells back and the room smells terrible. The staff sprayed air freshener to no avail. We felt like we were living in the toilet and felt dizzy. When we asked to change rooms, the staff said we could only change to a smaller room. We took a look and found that the air and lighting in that room were even worse, like a cellar. I don’t know how this hotel can be rated as a four-star hotel. It is not even as good as the three-star hotels in Nice and Paris.
