We’ve had the most wonderful stay at the Grand Hôtel Dauphiné. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very clean. The hotel is in an excellent location with lovely restaurants, cafes and boutique shops only a short walk away. The rooftop space is just spectacular, with beautiful views over Toulon. The team were very attentive and helpful, we found Nathalie at reception to be particularly friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. Thank you for making us feel so welcome. We will definitely be returning!

The service at this hotel is excellent. They are so friendly and helpful. We stayed here for one night so that we could catch our ferry to Corsica the next morning, and it was perfect for a one-night stay. That said, I think the pictures are much better than the actual hotel. There was also quite a bit of noise in the middle of the night from the street (groups coming home from nearby bars, someone throwing out their glass recycling, the garbage truck in the early morning, etc) But overall the room was fine, totally clean and comfortable. Also, the hotel does have an elevator, but it is very very small, so I would not recommend this location for any wheelchair users.

This is a pleasant boutique hotel in a spectacular location in Toulon. Close enough to Port Toulon (ferries) and the train station to walk, and surrounded by small shops, bistros, etc. The morning continental breakfast included in some rates is good. The wifi was of good quality. I would definitely stay here again. There are no vehicles on the nearby streets, so it was very quiet.
The room is not naturally well-ventilated, but the windows open so easily solved. The stairs are the primary mode of accessing your floor, though there is a small elevator. I wouldn’t recommend for anyone with mobility issues.
The toiletries provided were below average quality - bring your own.
My bed was too hard, and I normally prefer a harder mattress, which is the only real concern I had. I’d drop to 4.5 if I could.
The room is not naturally well-ventilated, but the windows open so easily solved. The stairs are the primary mode of accessing your floor, though there is a small elevator. I wouldn’t recommend for anyone with mobility issues.

Loud group of drunks outside of hotel, staff unresponsive, claimed police would not come. Group was outside front door of hotel drinking and yelling all night. Not a good place to get a night of sleep

I had a lovely stay at this hotel. Their standards are up to 4 stars in terms of quality of service, comfort and cleanness, in my opinion. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the bed was very comfortable, and I particularly enjoyed the beautiful rooftop. A hotel that cares about details and wellness of their customer, I highly recommend it!

Reception extremely friendly, and ready to help. Rooms are very nice and taken care of. Weirdly, a lot of noise during my particular night, coming from the hallway.

The staff of this hotel is very friendly and helpful. The hotel has an amazing rooftop swimming pool which is great for relaxing in style. The rooms are a bit small but the air conditioning is working fine. It's a good hotel for a few day stay.

Beautiful old hotel close to everything in the old town. Comfortable bed, good linens, clean. Friendly service. Excellent breakfast, certainly a cut above the standard continental that you might expect at such a hotel.
