Mercure Paris Boulogne Mini-hotel

The hotel is in a quiet area, about a 10-minute walk from the metro and bus stations. There’s a hypermarket 25 minutes away, and a smaller supermarket just 5 minutes from the hotel. While most of the staff were not very welcoming, one young man at check-out left a positive impression.

The apartment had a kitchen with utensils, though the selection was a bit limited. For example, there was no corkscrew, and the reception only had one available, which we were asked to return immediately. Additionally, there were no spatulas for cooking, and the kitchen, located on the balcony, had no lighting, making it difficult to use at night. The room itself lacked sufficient lighting, with only two floor lamps—one of which wasn’t working—making the space feel quite dim.

Although we booked for three people, many items were only provided for two, such as towels, chairs, and coffee capsules. The beds were made for three, but we only received two coffee capsules daily, and none on the last day. The dishwasher tablets were also only supplied on the first day.

The windows were drafty, and the room felt cooler than expected given the outside temperature. While the bathroom was spacious and the bed linens were clean, the overall experience could be improved with a few more amenities. Additionally, the nearest bakery is 1.5 km away, so if you’re hoping for easy access to fresh pastries, staying closer to the city center might be a better option. On the plus side, luggage storage is available.

The hotel entrance was nice, sweet fragrance welcomes you, but that’s short lived as you go up to the rooms the alleyway was smelly and rooms had weird smell kind of sweat not fresh any how we opened the windows and was ok after 30 minutes or we got used to it, any how the smell in the lobby and rooms were again very prominent when you out and return to your room. The pool is on top floor with open roof. It is very small though I would not call it a swimming pool facility but yes you can go and have a dip or two on a hot day.
The breakfast was not good but was ok as there were flies and the dining area looked dated old the curtains would need wash I would say, but the most surprising thing was you have to cook your own eggs if you want to eat them be it boiled or sunny side up or omelette and I did not find this very appealing and if you are vegetarian there are hardly any options as there was no beans or mushrooms or any sort overall good location, very pleasant staff but all of other things mentioned above, makes your think about making the choice of staying here.
