Calais, 6, Boulevard des Alliés 🧭 Map
Stayed for 1 night. Excellent check in staff, very comfortable bed and the rooms are spotless. Breakfast was simple but very good. The staff asked if they could help us many times which was very much appreciated. We don’t speak French unfortunately, but they spoke very good English. Highly recommended for a clean comfortable short stay.
This hotel gave us a very good mini break for the December Calais markets. We are both immobile (wife in a wheelchair) and the accessible room was good. i am always keen to leave feedback on disability issues.Breakfast was great - unlike some hotels they kept a hawk-like eye on what needed topping up! Staff were always friendly and helpful when we were coping with our mobility. Not a UK 4 star, but...
My recent experience at the IHG Calais hotel confirmed its good location for visitors planning a one or two-day trip to Calais and surrounding area. The hotel is quite close to the pier, it offers immediate access to the port area, especially when it takes 30 minutes to pass the custom before you can get on the vessel. Besides, it is surrounded by a handful of charming restaurants and cozy cafes.

2nd stay here. Great place to stop after getting off Le Tunnel. Breakfast worth the money. Good size rooms and very comfy bed. Only noisy if you leave the windows open, otherwise slept very well. Lots of restaurants near by for dinner and great area to walk around after dinner. Would recommend staying before heading back to England or before starting your journey in France.
This is definitely not a four-star hotel. It is very old. Some of the furniture is unusable. The mattresses and pillows are also old and uncomfortable. Renovation is urgently needed. Unfortunately, the hotel has nothing to do with the chain behind it. BUT: the staff—especially Christopher—are all super nice and helpful. They are all very service-oriented and quickly fulfill all requests. Unfortunately...

Calais, 46 Rue Royale 🧭 Map
Really nice place and excellent location at city center. Really nice environment and highly recommend.
Good location, wide variety of breakfast options.
Very handy location for the ferry. Beds incredibly comfortable. Quite noisy outside due to city centre location. Not enough staff at breakfast so couldn’t maintain supply of plates, knives etc quickly enough or clear tables at peak time. Odd system in the room where you had to press a button before you could open the door. Not sure what the advantage of that is. Layout of family room was nice to give...
Good location with restaurants around. Basic facilities inside the room and it's fine for a short-stay. The hotel car-park is small and only a few parking lots available. Luckily can park on-street nearby.
Service was good! There was some stain on the carpet in the room. If the breakfast could come with hot choices would be perfect.
Calais doesn’t have much to offer ; more of a transit town .
IBIS is a little random ; rooms are minimal but convenient for a nights sleep.
Breakfast is reasonable with good buffet selection

Just stayed for one night after arriving from England - nice location and decent room
This was a economically priced hotel which did exactly what was offered - a clean comfortable room which is fine for one night and close to two centre transport links.
Thanks massively to the guy who checked us in - very easy and quick. About 8 min walk from the train station. Lovely, quiet area. Room was clean and nice for one night's stay. Bar area was an added bonus and we returned to use it before leaving Calais. Thank you massively
The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff made a very stressed Texan feel welcome and comfortable, during a very difficult time. Excellent place, excellent staff, and perfect location.
The hotel located inside city centre and opposite there is a mall and Carriefour which is very convenient , staff is very helpful and they are so nice to offers us tea at the middle of night
Close to city center
Clean
Nice front desk staff

ibis Calais Car Ferry
Calais, 2 Rue Greuze 🧭 Map
Great location near to the port of calais. The hotel looks a bit dilapidated on the outside, in fact there was a derelict Hotel next door which looked nicer!. The car park left you wondering if your car would be safe there overnight. The reception was bright and lively the staff were friendly and welcoming. Fortunately our room was on the ground floor as there was no lift. Our room was quite small...
Been staying here a few years now. Staff are so friendly and helpful also all speak english. Pets allowed. good food menu. 5 mins away from eurotunnel.
Well located for car ferry and Eurotunnel
Overall a good stay. Well positioned for the car ferries and Eurotunnel. Room a little tired but the hotel is undergoibg some refurbishment. Excellent buffet breakfast, sets you up for a day of travelling. Guests should note that the on site restaurant is closed Saturdays and Sundays and there is not a lot in the area surrounding the hotel.
I had a 3 night...
The hotel is a good place for an overnight stay and conveniently situated for the crossing. There is a bus stop nearby for a hike into the T/c but not very good diners nearby to sample French cooking. It could be said the place might be overpriced for B&B in Calais perhaps more competition may alleviate that issue.
Very pleased with the room and service!
Clean, easy to check in and fantastic location if you are taking the Shuttle back to the UK. Great stop-over hotel.

Yet another stay! We occasionally try alternatives, but these stays away from the magnificent Meurice only convince us that we are right to believe that nothing can beat this wonderful, atmospheric hotel. As is normal in hospitality, staff change regularly and work different shift patterns. On this occasion the receptionist saw our car arriving and came outside to meet us. We had never met her before...
From the minute we walked in this hotel it wrapped us in Old fashioned French charm. The decor, furniture and sweeping staircase set the scene for a charming visit to this lovely hotel. The receptionist was friendly and informative, she spoke excellent English. She gave us directions to the Square in the heart of Calais where there was a very good choice of restaurants. When we went up to our room...
Didn't like the hard close room doors, which slammed with an immense thud. Otherwise perfect. Lots of character and maintained to a high standard. Certainly the best Calais has to offer.
We started our motorbike tour staying here 25/07/25. the receptionist was very accommodating and welcoming, we even got secure underground parking. It is slightly dated but in a good way. Class furniture that doesn’t go out of date. We then came back to this hotel on 02/08/25 after not being welcomed at our Reims hotel so my friends booked the room and we travelled another 270kms to Calais to be...
Stayed 4 nights at the beginning of July and had such a fantastic time. Reception and breakfast staff are lovely, friendly and welcoming. The room was perfect, with a large comfortable bed, power shower, hanging/folding space for clothes etc. The bathroom was well stocked with essentials: cotton buds, shower cap, soap/shower gel, nail file, comb. There was also tea/coffee/water plus many English...
A little tired, and reminisent of times gone by. Extremely helpful young lad when we arrived on Saturday evening, but breakfast lady was impatient and rude about our small dog, which we paid extra to have stay, not being allowed into breakfast. I've no problem with that but the manner in which we were told was terrible given she is no doubt building a career in hospitality.
Update: 12th May. I have...

Enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable, excellent breakfast including a cooked breakfast. The staff are very helpful. It's a ten minute walk from the town centre and all the bars and restaurants. Plus it's free parking outside. Used calais as a base to visit places of interest in the area.
Arrived late and was warmly welcomed. The hotel was not modern but still was in keeping with 80s french design. Good night's sleep that was definitely needed.
This is a great little Hotel. Not crazy prices, very friendly and helpful staff. Also dog friendly which was very important for me. It’s not the most modern, but the room was clean and fresh and clearly well kept.
Well placed for crossing the channel either on the ferry or the shuttle. Close to amenities and the station.
We came very late with the ferry so we had to stop for the night. We could check-in after 22h30 and had a good night rest . Room was clean and perfect disposition for a small family.
Excellent, central location, near to all the cafes, bars, restaurants and the square. Secure parking. Helpful attentive staff and modern, spacious rooms. Great variety of breakfast.
Location wise it was good, staff very helpful, very good breakfast, bed very comfy, downside, the hotel could do with a refresh, room was abit run down, but clean.

if you are travelling on a budget then nice value. however our room smells of smoke even when we request for smoke-free room and treatment.
The hotel exceeded my expectations, especially considering the price.
It's a good location, but in the night, there was a bad small in the room, I think, from the bathroom
Very close to the train station.
I had a room with an ensuite/ private bathroom. The water was hot, but it needed a new shower head. It was leaky.
The room is clean and big enough 1 person, maybe 2.
Good security. Coded gate access after hours and a different coded entry into the building.
We were late getting there 00:00hrs, the security gate was shut. We called through for code, ok we’re in!
Machine asked for last name on booking- no booking found!! Put 1st and last name - booking found! Hooray, now 1am.
Room ok clean enough for 1 night, no towels at all for 3 people!!
Always smell of cigarettes smoking in room & corridor!!
Thank you, everything was great

3* might be a little bit harsh because it served its purpose, the bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. Towels could have been fresher and there was no toilet in the room and there was nowhere to wash hands in the communal toilet! Overall was happy enough with my stay and I've stayed in much much worse places that were more expensive in the past. Would stay again for a short stay if that's...
Clean and tidy and only a short walk to local pubs and restaurants. A bit on the noisy side but it's ok for an overnight stay as it's fairly cheap and close to the ferry terminal.
The hotel is very modest but clean and the stuff was nice by letting us to check in in the morning. The only minus was that it's located right across the street from a school and it was hard to rest during the first part of the day (very noisy)

Very good hotel, Very clean, very good room and a good location if you want to start a journey fresh like 13 of us did. Biker friendly place with lock garage. Very good and reasonable price breakfast. Will retun here and recommend it.
Clean, modern rooms with friendly and helpful staff at a very reasonable rate. Free, but limited on-street parking available outside the hotel. Overall a great experience for the price paid.
Clean room ish. Could do with a little more care with the cleaning as the floor needed sweeping and the shower curtain was mouldy. I think they have gone for quantity over quality as the rooms are a bit cramped and very basic. Overall a nice place for a stop gap. The staff are helpful and polite.
Modern hotel ideally placed on centre of the city. Very clean. Room was also clean and bed was comfortable. Staff are friendly and welcoming.
It was easy to check in and leave even in the middle of the night. The service was friendly and the rooms were clean and tidy. Also it is located close to the ferry so it is a good hotel for overnight if u need to catch a ferry early in the morning.

Nothing fancy with this hotel but reasonable rooms and staff are helpful. Good for basic stay or just an over nighter. Location is right by the town square. Had no problems finding parking. Right by restaurants and bars so plenty of places to go.
Very warm and spacious room with pleasant service. Lovely shower and balcony.
Perfect for our family of 4 and comfortable beds. VERY HAPPY. I will be using the hotel again.
Inexpensive and good quality rooms for the travelers. Pet friendly, open doors at midnight, nice shower.
Good cheap place rite in the middle of all the shops food places and stunning buildings would stay again for defo
Does exactly what it says on the label. Bed comfortable enough and shower good and hot. Bathroom a little small and one of the lights didn't work, but at £85 for 3 nights it was OK. Didn't try food or coffee: no need as there are many good places within 100 metres of front door.

Excellent place to stay if you get stuck in Calais, staff are brilliant, food is fantastic, accommodation basic but good. Would definitely use again.

We arrived at 18:30 and were told food orders were not taken till 19:00which was fine. And definitely worth the wait.
It was very busy for a Tuesday evening.
3 pints 2 large wines moules and frites X 2 less than €50 and all with a sea view.
Great location right by the beach and only 10 minutes from tunnel or ferry. Plenty of parking and restaurant was good and reasonable value. Beach area has been refurbished and plenty going on.
Rooms were a little small, we had a third bed, but fine for a short stay. Clean and comfortable and would definitely stay here again for an overnight stop
A bit of a chaotic place but they have a restaurant downstairs and are close to the tunnel.
Book the restaurant in advance because the day we arrived they couldn't sit us and we had to order something from a different place.
The place is Spartan and has seen better times, the guy checking us in was also answering the phone, so don't expect fast front desk service.
Their saving grace is that one could...
The check in was really easy and quick.
The food was a normal breakfast buffet which was absolutely fine.
The location is lovely because it is right on the beach, you stumble out of the door on to the sand, which is just beautiful!
We were rather shocked about the rooms though, they were really run down (some rooms didn't have windows, they have like a door that couldn't be opened instead, which was...
Great location near to the beach and not far from Calais centre. Reasonably priced restaurant attacged to the hotel. Hotel itself is quite dated but has everything you need. Our room obviously suffered with damp issues. There was thick mold in the corner of the room.

Very clean, no frills room. Absolutely perfect for a stop over. Very kindly accommodated us at very short notice with late arrival!
I needed a hotel just for sleeping and this was one of the cheapest ones without having to share a room with strangers. Clean room and comfy bed. Bring your earplugs if you wake up to noices, the floor is a bit squeaky so you hear when others are walking in their rooms.
The hotel is in a great location next to a park in a nice area of the town with free on road parking just outside.. The ferry terminal is about 5 minutes drive. All communications, entry codes etc were done via Whataspp and worked faultlessly. The room was a good size and nicely laid out, everything worked, the wifi was excellent and the shower decent. There was a lounge with coffee machine etc...
Staff member was very nice and the room was clean and comfortable
The hotel was closed to the centre of the city. You can park for free in front of the hotel or to pay 6€ for private parking. The price was good for only one night, it was very affordable. The host was friendly
The hotel was still in renovation. There was no shampoo, only soap and there was no plastic bag in the trash.
A characterful, comfortable and brilliantly located hotel. There are no frills, but it has quirky style, and offers great value for money. The renovations are not yet complete, but it’s getting there. Benoît, the owner/manager, is very helpful and friendly, keeping in touch throughout and providing lots of information. The secure off-street parking is well worth paying for, saving you from emptying...

A great option for a short stay in Calais. The hotel is clean, modern, and conveniently located with easy access to the city centre and ferry terminal. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were welcoming. The room was quiet and comfortable, with everything we needed for a good night’s rest. Excellent value for money — would definitely stay again.
I picked this hotel as it is ideally located near the channel tunnel. Literally about 5 minutes drive. My only issue was when checking in. I was extremely tired from having driven 7 hours to be told that my booking had not been paid for! I had 100% paid and I had the receipt to show them but it took them about half an hour to finally see that trip.com had sent the money. By this time I was at crying...
Convenient for the ferries. Parking on site is difficult at busy times as there were a lot of big trucks taking up 3 parking lots each. Far from the city centre. The only eatery nearby is American fast food Memphis Cafe or McDonalds. No air conditioning in the room nor a kettle or fridge.
The staff were welcoming, the location is excellent, and free parking is available. It's a great stopover for a short rest before heading to the port.
Very good location, quick check-in, friendly staff. The rooms are small, but quite clean.
The bed was excellent. Ideal for a stopover to the final destination.
So easy to deal with, also I had thousands of pound's worth of bikes, so the secure parking was so perfect.
