After a ten hour drive with two children and two dogs, we were stopped at eurotunnel pet reception due to our vet appt being less that 24 hours prior and told we were not allowed to travel until the following morning. After a horrid experience we were SO lucky to find Hotel Meurice who had two beautiful rooms available and were more than happy to take our two dogs. The lady at reception could not have...
We were there for a couple of nights, having stayed there many years ago. The hotel has been totally redecorated from top to bottom as well as the bedrooms and has regained its grandeur, as the decor was getting quite tired and old. The staff is extremely polite, welcoming and helpful. We didn't take breakfast at the hotel (15€) but you may have coffee and a croissant for 6€, which was not an option...
Fantastic hidden gem. Classically styled and very spacious. Rooms are of a good size with excellent on suite facilities, even have monogrammed towels! Staff are very accommodating and the breakfast offers many options. Excellent location with easy access to the centre. Parking a plus. Will use again.
We stayed just one night on a 2 week vacation throughout Europe. This stop was primarily for rest and the Hotel Meurice was the perfect spot for that. The rooms were cozy, clean and luxurious feeling.
It is an old fashioned hotel. Rooms and bathrooms are clean but the rooms lack modern touches like charging sockets for mobile phone. Coffee making facilities in the room very basic with bottle of water left for guests. The parking in the basement is good and accessible by lift.
Stayed here as part of a group for the first and last night's of an 11 day trip. I loved it. This hotel has real character. Our room was small but bed was very comfortable. High quality bed linen and towels. Nice soap. Good selection of breakfast items in a very grand room. We were made very welcome.

Very spacious room ' Opel suite '. Nice breakfast buffet. Beautifully polished hand calved wooden walls in the eating area. Friendly staff. Unfortunately the bar was closed due to Corona
Great old hotel. Perfectly located by the train station near the town centre. A real old world charm
My first night in France on this trip through Europe. Not a bad start. The hotel was clean and comfortable and at the price it gets my good rating. It’s also very close to the station Calais-Ville which I was grateful for as I was heading to Paris on the train with my bicycle. I was able to put my bike in the courtyard behind closed doors with a night watchman so I felt comfortable with that. The reception...
We had a pleasant stay in this hotel, and admired it’s old-fashioned style. The employees were always so kind and welcoming that we all felt at home. The breakfast is moderate (well, compared to German hotels), but neat. Free parking is a nice bonus. Great location. Several tips for the hotel staff: toilet brush in a room and a little trash bin on the breakfast tables would be very helpful. Will be...
Very lovely little hotel in the middle of calais. 2 walking minutes to the city cent. The beds are very comfi and the staff is very friendly!
From the outside it doesn't look much, bit the inside is nicely decorated and the staff are friendly and helpful

So easy to deal with, also I had thousands of pound's worth of bikes, so the secure parking was so perfect. Arrived late and staff at the speaker station where just so helpful. All I can say is don't hesitate in booking, 10 0ut of 10. Many thanks
Once through the ATM bit (first use) my expectations were exceeded. Ideal for a one night stopover. Location perfect for city AND ferry access. The concentration on providing a first class breakfast with something for everyone is a definite plus. The bed part of B&B was also good thanks to a firm but comfortable mattress.
The room was really small and overall appearance reminded of a hostel. Given the price (145 €) we had expected a *little* bit more comfort and space. The beds were too short, our son had serious difficulties. Breakfast was simple, but okay. Fully automated check-in, no key, but code. We only saw hotel staff in the morning. They were nice. Free parking at least. Summary: Okay for one night, but really...
I booked this hotel as a stopover, so really just to sleep. Firstly, it was very easy to find off the motorway. Secondly, and more importantly, I was very pleasantly surprised - not only by the very welcoming, cheerful and agreeable staff (the managers of the hotel I assume) but also by the cleanliness and quality of the room and bathroom. The bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfast was...
Used this hotel as a stopover after re-booking our ferry due the shambles at Calais port. Essentially it's a French Travelodge. Was very impressed by the family room. Large double bed and bunk beds. Very clean, TV with UK channels, lovely shower and plenty of towels. Reception was very friendly with excellent vending machine/coffees. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.
Cheep and cheerful hotel, extremely close to the euro tunnel and ferry ports so perfect for a night before or after your channel crossing. Room was a little too warm even with the window open, bed was ok but could have been more comfortable. Overall a good stay for one night.

Good reasonable price friendly host. Evening meal was nice breakfast a little bit limited. Ideal for a stopover with plenty of parking space easy access to the motorway network.
Fourth stay, same as usual, convenient for early(ish) sailing. Food a little expensive but nice enough. Friendly staff again.
Very friendly, clean and well presented, very warm welcome.Breakfast was very good. Plenty car parking space and so handy for the ferry. One constructive comment, need a none slip mat in shower tray.Very well priced, would not hesitate to stay again, highly recomended.

We had a short stay passing through northern France and I would recommend this hotel! It's central location is good for sightseeing and also accessible from the autoroute. Wonderful local restaurants and reservations for the hotel parking are a must! The hotel staff were welcoming and Abigail at reception is truly outstanding! We had an amazing stay thanks to Abigail.
The rooms were good for just an over night stay, the rooms were very clean and very secure. The hotel provided small treats inside the rooms and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was good and the cafe was very nice. Plenty of space and plenty of breakfast foods. Overall it was a good hotel.
Great location in the hearth of the center of Calais. Busy nightlife around the hotel. Parking in front of the hotel is available free for only 15 minutes but a few minutes walking away there are free parking spaces are available. Hotel is clean and simple.

Very good hotel, excellent reception. Fantastic location. All round good experience, 3rd time been their and look forward to next visit
Good quality all round. Very helpful staff. Easy to walk into the town if needed. Also very close to the port.
Functional rather than 'special', but extremely conveniently located near the town square, its restaurants and bars. Easy to park directly across the road even with the summer fun fair in place just along the street. I wouldn't describe the view of any part of Calais I've seen as pretty, but the view here is at least interesting, looking out as it does on to part of the coastline and some docks. Staff...
Conveniently located near to town centre and port. This is an express hotel so has the basics and is more than suitable for a short visit. I was there on business so more than met my requirements.
Great place to stop, they were very helpful after another hotel over booked and had no room for us. Beds were very comfortable after 30hrs of no sleep. Breakfast was ok. Would stop here again!
Warm welcome, clean, comfortable beds and reasonable food. Perfect for a night before or after crossing the channel.

The hotel was clean and quite handy to stay over after a late crossing from the Eurotunnel ,breakfast ok and staff really friendly.
Great staff and very convenient for the UK ferry/tunnel crossing, everything clean and tidy, room on the tight side, but it's all you need.
Boots pharmacy Diss is just one example of the huge difference between UK and European pharmacies. It's difficult for anyone who has lived in Europe to understand why UK pharmacies are so desperately mismanaged. In the majority of Europe, people working in pharmacies are qualified pharmacists, hence much quicker service without the pill pickers and till workers in between.
We stayed here on the way back from Spain before getting the tunnel back the next morning. Nice little hotel 10 mins from the tunnel, didn't have breakfast, the room was cosy and the bed was comfy, quite quiet considering an old hotel. There's a restaurant attached to it and it has a bar. Loads of parking spaces too. Would recommend...
Efficient no nonsense hotel. Good breakfast, but the restaurant was closed even on Saturday evening (Sep 2021). Does the job very well for an overnight transit stay but don't expect a nice location, spacious rooms or a French ambiance.
We stayed for 1 night, was cheap and for the price was ok but I have seen it advertised at over twice as much and tbh it is not worth that amount. It does have a 24 hour check in and the car park is free too. Rooms could do with a bit of modernizing though .

You get what you pay for. A bed and a toilet, very basic and not necessarily the cleanest, however for an overnight stop it does the job. Staff are friendly and there is a security guard at night with a locked gate to car park.
Basically a good hotel for this price, but one of our rooms had a broken window and the soap dispenser in the shower didn't work. Family rooms (or family prices) would be great (we had two 3 bed rooms side to side though).
reasonable prices hotel centrally located for access to shopping and restaurants. basic accommodation and don't drink at the bar as it's so expensive
Don't expect a luxurious stay. I was after a cheap stop over near the ferry port for a night, and to that extent was pleased. We arrived late at about midnight, but had already been contacted by hotel to confirm when we would arrive and given a code to enable out of hours automated checkin. Hotel was very central, near the train station, was easy to find, took no more than 15 mins from actually...
Very basic but clean hotel, similar to the Ibis chain. Good for three people travelling together. OK breakfast (not included). Well situated opposite to the railway station. I walked there from the ferry, was doable. Nice park, a castello, the tourist information and an art museum in the neighbourhood.
For 35 euros for one night, a 2 person room with en-suite bathroom? That's a steal. It was also clean and staff was friendly.

Lovely place to stay. Clean and the staff are friendly and their spoken English is brill. I would book again.
Absolutely good place to rest and safe. The French jandarmerie hangs about there. Service and food excellent.
Well the rooms are a bit dated, but they are clean and functional. For the moaners, if you want perfect then go the Ritz. The facilities and rooms here are quite acceptable for the price. The restaurant has a chef that clearly loves his work. Good quality food (small menu) of freshly prepared and cooked meals at bargain prices Double glazing keeps the rooms quiet
Stayed here a few times. Handy for port and tunnel. Clean room. Nice friendly staff. Not bad restaurant. Will be back.

3* might be a little bit harsh because it served its purpose, the bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. Towels could have been fresher and there was no toilet in the room and there was nowhere to wash hands in the communal toilet! Overall was happy enough with my stay and I've stayed in much much worse places that were more expensive in the past. Would stay again for a short stay if that's...
Clean and tidy and only a short walk to local pubs and restaurants. A bit on the noisy side but it's ok for an overnight stay as it's fairly cheap and close to the ferry terminal.
The hotel is very modest but clean and the stuff was nice by letting us to check in in the morning. The only minus was that it's located right across the street from a school and it was hard to rest during the first part of the day (very noisy)

Nothing fancy with this hotel but reasonable rooms and staff are helpful. Good for basic stay or just an over nighter. Location is right by the town square. Had no problems finding parking. Right by restaurants and bars so plenty of places to go.
Very warm and spacious room with pleasant service. Lovely shower and balcony. Perfect for our family of 4 and comfortable beds. VERY HAPPY. I will be using the hotel again.
Inexpensive and good quality rooms for the travelers. Pet friendly, open doors at midnight, nice shower.
Good cheap place rite in the middle of all the shops food places and stunning buildings would stay again for defo
Does exactly what it says on the label. Bed comfortable enough and shower good and hot. Bathroom a little small and one of the lights didn't work, but at £85 for 3 nights it was OK. Didn't try food or coffee: no need as there are many good places within 100 metres of front door.
Great place to stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very comfortable and clean and in a perfect location for Calais both for the hypermarket and restaurants. I would happily recommend it and stay there again.

Benoit is renovating his building but don't be put off. Extremely clean, very comfortable bed , good area and location for ferry etc and city centre. Good price. Benoit is very helpful

Great place, great owner, great passion. Running a business for what he believes in. Still being upgraded, but that only added to the place.
Well earned rest staying here. Everything was perfect for us. We were made welcome when we arrived early and were well informed of what's going on around Calais. The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel quiet. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. 5 star

We arrived at 18:30 and were told food orders were not taken till 19:00which was fine. And definitely worth the wait. It was very busy for a Tuesday evening. 3 pints 2 large wines moules and frites X 2 less than €50 and all with a sea view.
Great location right by the beach and only 10 minutes from tunnel or ferry. Plenty of parking and restaurant was good and reasonable value. Beach area has been refurbished and plenty going on. Rooms were a little small, we had a third bed, but fine for a short stay. Clean and comfortable and would definitely stay here again for an overnight stop
A bit of a chaotic place but they have a restaurant downstairs and are close to the tunnel. Book the restaurant in advance because the day we arrived they couldn't sit us and we had to order something from a different place. The place is Spartan and has seen better times, the guy checking us in was also answering the phone, so don't expect fast front desk service. Their saving grace is that one could...
The check in was really easy and quick. The food was a normal breakfast buffet which was absolutely fine. The location is lovely because it is right on the beach, you stumble out of the door on to the sand, which is just beautiful! We were rather shocked about the rooms though, they were really run down (some rooms didn't have windows, they have like a door that couldn't be opened instead, which was...
Great location near to the beach and not far from Calais centre. Reasonably priced restaurant attacged to the hotel. Hotel itself is quite dated but has everything you need. Our room obviously suffered with damp issues. There was thick mold in the corner of the room.
