Fab Great location and the pool and seating area definitely a luxury. Would like the aircon to be lower the 22 degree as that is hot for me.

Have stayed here before so know the hotel is in a great position in the old port. Room was on the small side however and would have liked a bath but only a shower available. There was a kettle in the room but no cups (?) and no fridge

It's a sea view room. It's rare to find such powerful air conditioning in a European hotel. The front desk is quite welcoming. The breakfast is a bit simple. Like other European hotels, the room is relatively small.

Fabulous location. Extremely comfortable bedroom. Staff are super friendly. Two small dogs with us enjoyed the fuss, too.

It was very nice, excepl from a bad smell coming from the drains in the shower.

I had a wonderful stay at Maison des Ambassadeurs - the staff were all young & willing to help in any way. It was lovely to have robe & slippers to feel comfy after a long day out.

Small but Nice We loved the location of the hotel and it the room was very clean and nice but it was small, especially the bathroom. It was adequate for 1 night but longer we would have felt very cramped. Otherwise it is a good hotel with a great location. The breakfast was good too.

Nice central location and great for an overnight stay.

We had a great time, room was comfortable enough. The AC wasn't working, although opening the window in the evening allowed for cooling the room.

Weekend Visit Check in was quick and staff friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Close to lots of places to eat and right in the centre.

The hotel was excellent, from the service at reception, to the cleanliness of the room. The proximity to La Rochelle was also perfect.

We were about 6 minutes walk from old town Centre. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Good beds and linen, towels, etc. Had a frig. Large bathroom. Good size room. Coffee in foyer.

We had a very pleasant stay here for 4 days. The staff are very welcoming and professional and helpful with the language barrier. Lovely garden and location excellent. Even though we had to pay for parking it was very reasonable. Highly recommend

A historic building totally refurbished as a hotel in a great location to explore La Rochelle. Very comfortable and tranquil room. Walk out of the hotel, turn left and within a block you are walking by shops and cafes.

We stayed for our son’s wedding. We were treated like family and I’ll never forget the amazing stay we had in La Rochelle. The staff never had to be asked for anything. They moved about so quietly and efficiently that you weren’t even sure who did what, but you wanted for nothing. Truly amazing place. If you have the opportunity to stay here, don’t hesitate!

During our short 2 night stay, we found the hotel to be beautifully appointed and staffed by courteous and friendly personnel. The hotel is a short walking distance to the major sites and conveniently located near the bus transit stop servicing the entire city. I would recommend this establishment to other travelers who are staying in La Rochelle.

The view of the port is stunnimg and it's centrally located so that you're walking distance from the train station and few minutes walk from the from dozens of great nearby restaurants. Lovely hotel in perfect central old port location. We stayed 2 nights in early October - suspect pool will be lovely in summer. To get to front of hotel by car, street bollards need to be lowered (phone hotel). However, a French strike/demonstration made these inactive on our arrival - we parked in the old port underground car park 500m away which is excellent.

Loved the hotel, perfect location and nice room. The hotel has some renovation work going on otherwise I would rate it very highly. Staff are really very nice. There are only two negatives - it is a little bit complicated to park in their car park but ok when you know how, and I would have preferred to have real cups and glasses in the room rather than flimsy paper ones which were too hot to hold to...

The room was clean, air-conditioned, and comfortable. It faced the canal and had a great view. The only disappointment was that the refrigerator was too hot, so the fruit I bought at the market didn't last very long.

We've had a really pleasant stay. Service was impeccable and when they learned that my gf is gluten intolerant, they organized gluten free bread instead of just offering the crackers you often get in France. The location is amazing as well!

This is a lovely historic building. We had a nice room, clean with a fantastic shower. The rooms are not sound proof so it can be noisy from above and below. We were offered to purchase breakfast, which thankfully we declined. We were told breakfast starts at 7am, we hoped to grab a quick coffee. We left at 7:15 am, there was a que for breakfast and very little was setup, with the area still closed

I had a lovely room at the last floor with a view on to the street. the staff at the reception desk are pleasant and helpful. I was just wondering about the exit door in case of emergency. It is locked from inside which is fine but how do we exit just in case? Who has the key?

A lovely little 2 star hotel located very well in the old centre of the city. The rooms are basic but very comfortable, abd the staff are welcoming and helpful too. They speak English, and were able to lend us power adapters because we had forgotten to bring some with us. The continental breakfast buffet is good, using local produce and home made jams.

I really enjoyed my 7-night stay in this hotel in early September. It is deally located in terms of accessibility to the 1b airport bus stop, the Old Port, nice shops/restaurants and the most important sights. The staff were very friendly and helpful e.g. when I sought advice re my trip to Île de Ré. The breakfast was delicious and well supervised.

Just what I needed for a coupe of nights. Comfortable bed, clean room. Right in the centre of the town. 2 minutes from the bus station where you can get a cheap bus from and to the airport.

I loved our stay here, we stayed for two weeks as a family. I worked remotely for the first week and bought a portable WiFi device with me as I wasn't sure how strong the apartment WiFi would be, when doing video calls etc. Their WiFi is ok but not reliable enough to work for a long period of time. Really nice hotel which about 15min walk to the town centre. This is a little shorter when you use the water taxi. La Rochelle is a beautiful town with loads to see and this hotel could be the ideal base for you.

We were there for a week-end and it was perfect. The appart hotel had everything we need. The swimming pool was a real plus. The staff was so nice and also it's in a perfect location.
