Not a five stars but more 3/4 stars hotel. Excellent location in the city. Rooms OK.

We stayed there a few nights. The location of the hotel is ok, although they have construction going on so the road in front of it is blocked. No public parking. The hotel charges a lot of money for parking. The rooms are creepy, unless you like living in a convent. The rooms have cold floors, not comfy beds, not good pillows. Poor water pressure in the shower. Not cozy, not modern, one outlet to charge stuff. Front desk people are nice. Breakfast was one of the worst in Europe. Cold cuts were often missing, taken out of the box, same with breads. They do not know how to make poached eggs, nor soft boiled. Baguettes were ok. No normal fruit, no fresh juices. The pool was too cold to swim in. It's a 3-star hotel.

A Truly Unique Stay in a Historic Setting

Staying at this hotel was an unforgettable experience. Originally an old hospice, the building’s transformation into a modern hotel has been done with so much care, preserving the historical charm while adding all the comforts of a luxury stay. The architecture still whispers stories from the past, with original features like vaulted ceilings and stone walls beautifully integrated into the design.

What sets this place apart is how the history of the building is not just respected but celebrated. Walking through the hallways, you feel a real sense of place, unlike any other hotel. Yet, the rooms are modern, spacious, and perfectly equipped with all the amenities you’d expect from a boutique hotel—plush bedding, elegant décor, and a peaceful ambiance.

The staff were warm and attentive, offering personalized service and giving insights into the rich history of the building, which made the stay even more special. The combination of old-world charm and modern luxury made for a unique and unforgettable experience. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a stay with character and a story to tell!

A quaint hotel with lots of external character. Unfortunately, the rooms don’t match up. The beds were like cots; sunken in the middle with minimal support. The lighting was poor and our room was adjacent to a construction area where the crew started promptly at 7am. When we checked in staff were pleasant and helpful but there was no mention of the construction or accompanying noise. The food was okay but not great despite the reviews we read before opting to eat at the hotel.
Share your experiences, help others make the right choice!
