What can I say? The food was excellent, and I particularly liked the Langoustine starter. The main dish, which was beautifully cooked duck, was also excellent.
The weather was beautiful and that meant we sat outside while enjoying our meal. The price was reasonable considering it was a hotel restaurant with a Michelin star.
I highly recommend La table for lunch. The restaurant interiors are beautiful and you feel like you are enjoying a bit of luxury while having excellent French food!

We had a tasting menu for lunch and it was excellent. The presentation and quality is outstanding.

The nine-course dinner we had was extremely tasteful, creative and beautifully presented. Our absolute favourite was the liquorice steamed sole with Beluga caviar while the roasted saddle of lamb was less our favourite. We took the suggested wine pairing and all wines fitted the dishes very well although we both weren’t fond of the paired cocktail with the dessert. The setting and its decor is very nice and the service by the friendly and welcoming staff was very good but a little bit too fast. We would have preferred a little bit more time in between dishes so we could even more enjoy them. Nonetheless we had a great and unforgettable culinary evening at star level

We had the full tasting menu here and absolutely loved it. Each course was carefully presented and looked beautiful. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our night here, thanks!

Good restaurant but not quite up to the level of former 1⭐️ chef.

I went for a weekend in Lille and decided to try the local Michelin Stars to have more comparaison points after my Paris challenge, Spanish expedition and now 3 stars challenge.
As usual, I’ll focus only on a couple of interesting points. A very personal expression in an intimate palace. Let’s start by the end: it’s a palace. Or at least, it’s Lille’s palace you’re in. The staff is very experienced and extremely professional. I’ve tried many (some would say too much), and there were some details that i usually only notice in 3 stars (when I notice them). But it’s not your typical palace. It’s smaller, more human, more local. You’ll have the warmth of the people from the north of France. This warmth can be also perceived in the chef cuisine. His very interested in fish. But it’s not the main point. The troubling point is that his cuisine is very personal, even intimate. It’s hard to explain but the chef has a very personal touch, quite unique. You can feel he’s exploring memories, culinary cultures and experiences. I took the 9 courses and I felt he really could express himself through the two main dishes.
It’s a top tiers one star working his way up.

Breakfast fantastic and the coffee. They even made gf bread for me.
Room service excellent, although limited room service menu again they had gf bread and made a special croque monsieur. Breakfast room is stunning and parking so easy.

A well located property, with a great staff BUT the style is very pretentious with major issue: our suite was extremely warm (under the roof, south exposure). They have a portable A/C with an exhaust pipe that you would have to route through the window AND leave the window open. Which is non sense, particularly with the fact that with the window open, you hear constant noise from the busy street. It was Saturday night with a bunch of young people partying until 3am. This is definitely not worth the $500 we paid for that one night.

Super hotel, good value in perfect location. I susspect that we had the best room in an otherwise good hotel. The room 20 was absolutely lovely.
Only one complaint; breakfast was VERY poor! On day one we ordered simple oatmeal, yougurt, juice and coffee in the room. When it arrived there was no oatmeal... not available! and they sent 2 orange juice where I had clearly ordered one orange and one apple. 50Euros!!!
On day two we ate in the dining room. Stale muesly, orange juice , yogourt a poor offering of fruit salad and coffee. Nothing cooked. 70Euros!!!!!
So near and yet so easily spoilt.
