I paid for a double bed and received a room with what seems like 2 single beds pushed together the 2 single mattresss kept sliding apart leaving me on hard wood between the 2 mattress

The rooms are quite small and don't have a mini bar and some mattresses could be switched out but otherwise the rooms are good for what you pay for. The service is really great! The people at the reception are incredibly nice and helpful, even if you don't speak French. A return visit after 5 years, the hotel is looking a bit shabby in places. Our room was quite small and the decor needed refreshing especially the desk the edge of which was chipped and rough. A mix up at check out resulted in us being given the wrong code to exit the car park resulting in confusion. Only had one night here really nice hotel built in an old church, has keep some very nice features, we had a very nice large room, breakfast was superb, 15 minute walk to the centre.

Although the room we had was small, it was perfect for our overnight stay. It was clean and cosy. The buffet breakfast downstairs was standard type of breakfast fare, excluding hot food, which we appreciated given that not many shops are open early or open at all on a Sunday. We had the family room for 4 and it was comfortable. The location was good, within walking distance of cafes and restaurants and not too far from the bustling shopping area. We came by car and although they did not have parking in house, they recommended a place nearby to park. Can highly recommend.

We stayed for a night and found the place to be very clean and well-kept. It was quite dim and dark, but that is part of the charm. The staff were all very friendly and polite. The only problem was the shower pressure was very low. Other than that, it was great value for the price, and we’d consider staying again!

A perfect gateway hotel. Room was small but it is what you need if you are there only for 1 or 2 days. Breakfast was correct. Service was excellent, Alexy at the reception was helpful and friendly. The hotel is located quite near the train station, Lille Flandres. The location is convenient since you’re at the heart of the city with lots of things to do and visit. This hotel has the best location in Lille, right in the city centre, near a large metro station and walking distance from the bus station. Loved my stay at Shelter Mama. It's a great "lean luxury" hotel with an edgy vibe. It's a bit tricky to find a way to get to the entrance at first but it's a truly great experience! I had breakfast at the hotel and would say it's worth the money, as you get loads of fresh options.

Very good hotel and staff. Near everything (metro, train, shooping, city center). Staff very responsive and willing to help you all the time, great amenities in the room. The only con is the acoustic isolation that allow some noises from neighbour rooms and from the hallway.

A beautiful hotel situated at the center of Lille. The hotel staff was very kind and helpful. The breakfast was amazing! The room we had was great, but be aware of mosquitos in the summer when opening the windows. All-in-all we can really recommend staying here, price-quality is sublime.

We booked a one night stay at this hotel in August. The room was clean and quite spacious. There is a parking garage right next to the hotel which was very convenient (we paid 15 EUR for 30 hours of parking). The location is amazing, you walk right into the old city center of Lille. I enjoyed my stay here. It is very close to both the Lille Europe and Lille-Flaunders train stations. The location is quiet during the night hours. All the historic landmarks are in walking distance from here, too. Be warned that the staff doesn't speak English :)

Mix reviews here, the hotel is conveniently located, two star hotel rather than 3 stars, rooms are comfy but tiny, lots of stairs so not good for people with not good mobility , coffee machine broken. On the other hand the perception person was super helpful and friendly so all forgiven

Had a fabulous weekend in Lille. Hotel was clean and comfortable but slightly overpriced for a family especially if you were to add the extra €11 each for breakfast. Location was brilliant. Problem with mosquitos at night but not sure what could be done about that. Also more toilet roll needed on arrival when 4 in a room. Ended up with none in the middle of the night on our first night.

Great location a short walk (10 mins) from the Eurostar station and 6-8 mins from the Lille Westfield. Rooms are clean and shower is nice and powerful. Check in and check out is smooth. Drawback is rooms have literally no clothes hanging space! As they are quite small. They are also quite dark. There is a free water dispenser downstairs at the bar, opposite the reception.

I stayed at Ibis for 2 nights with my brother. Greeting on arrival very friendly. Rooms large clean and comfortable. Breakfast lovely. All the staff were extremely friendly helpful and efficient. We had a drink in the little bar after an evening out. Reasonable prices and good choice. 10 minutes walk from Eurostar and 15 to the centre of Lille. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Clean and quiet room. Cosy bed. Streamlined breakfast, but fresh and with good choices. Some missing amenities that would be nice to have in the room are justified by the lower cost. All in all, definitely worth the price.

The host was very very friendly, and the rooms are really very clean. The bedding and pillows are extremely comfortable. The breakfast is more than adequate for 7 euros only. There we spent the weekend and the situation of the hotel, close to the train station and the city center is ideal. We will come back with pleasure and we highly recommend this establishment.

Great location just one stop from Lille Euro Gare and just opposite metro station. Modern very clean and comfortable. We had a room on the quiet side with excellent terrace onto garden. Place looked closed when we arrived but soon let in and given keys etc. The young lady who looked after us could not have been more helpful and friendly. Will certainly stay again

Hotel is in a very good location for Lille-Europe station, we had a high floor room and no noise issues which was great. The room did have a faint smell of smoke and the bathroom had a weird mildew smell, the room is definitely due for a refurb and the sheets were very warm over night, they felt quite synthetic (not saying they need Egyptian cotton 😋) Overall fine for a 1 night stay but wouldn't return

It's ok but just ok. It's location for the trains that gives it a win, however it was in Covid lockdown.

The hotel is good, rooms are big enough. You can find microwave, coffee machine, kettle and a little fridge. Is very convenient since is just in front of the international train station
