The room is ok and bathroom is good but it's a shame this hotel doesn't want to lift its standards to improve the quality of your stay. There is a musty smell and probably just needs a carpet clean. The room still had rubbish on the floor in it from previous customers and hanging cobwebs. The wifi was terribly slow. There is no air-conditioning, so maybe supply a fan. You can open the window but the street noise from the bars went all night. Then the hot water must have been turned off over night as there wasn't any in the morning until the staff arrived and were told about it and was sorted. No kettle in the room but the nice morning staff did bring us a jug of hot water so we could make our coffee.

Well located, friendly reception team. Parking sorted for us at nearby car park (with free EV charging). I think we might have had the best room, second floor with balcony. Quadruple glazing cuts out the street noise.

Pleasant hotel ideally located in the city center of Pau, close to all amenities. Perfectly operated building offering clean and functional rooms, all with a very friendly welcome.
Only downsides, for our own experience, a moderately comfortable mattress and a certain heat in the rooms that the fan is not enough to combat. Nothing that is likely to alter a very good stay in this beautiful establishment.

Quiet old, breakfast expensive for the food served. Service excellent.

A very friendly and helpful receptionist, who spoke English. The car park was a few streets away, which was not ideal, this should be made clear before booking. She came to park the car with me .,as I found the streets difficult to navigate with bus lanes and pedestrian only streets where the hotel was and where the parking was. There was no lift and our room was on the first floor, which was quite awkward with a pushchair. The room was clean and spacious. The location is very good and central. This is a typical budget hotel, with no frills. We found it overpriced , but then it's France!
