Hotel Continental Pau Centre

I found it quiet for the city center, breakfast was decent, although the rooms, bathrooms, lounge, reception area and common areas could do with an in-depth update.

The hotel is located near the city center with good facilities for lunch and dinner. The hotel is a building from the beginning of previous century and is beautiful. There is no specific place behind the entrance to park the car to drop the luggages.
The staff in the front desk is normally efficient.
The room is quite large and this is appreciable. However, it was not cleaned very well and there was some rest of bread and other foods (?).
Our room had not air conditioning and it has been very hard to sleep well since the temperature in the room was above 29°C even with the fan provided by the hotel..
The breakfast is average.
My global opinion is negative and I do not recommend this hotel.

Nice cheap hotel in the centre of Pau , staff friendly , great beds , good shower.....but the room was so heavenly disinfected, that it made it difficult to sleep . ( had to leave windows open overnight to air out smell)... note we did ask to change rooms but was told none were available.
Our friends staying in room next to us had to vacate to another room due to bed bugs. Very disappointed ....
Would unlikely go back
