Hyatt Place Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport

As a Hyatt Globalist, I typically enjoy my stays with the brand, but this was one of the worst Hyatt experiences I've ever had.

First, I originally booked a room at the Hyatt House and completed the online check-in with a suite upgrade. However, upon arrival, I was informed that they had overbooked and given my room to someone else. I was then relocated to a much smaller room at the Hyatt Place. Since I was only staying for one night, I didn’t mind too much, but it was disappointing.

Second, as a Globalist, I’m eligible to get complimentary bottled water. However, the front desk told me they had none available, even though they were selling bottled water in the lobby. I was instructed to use the bottle provided in the room to fill up at the water fountain. While I’m fine with having clean drinking water this way, the bottle in my room had water left in it and appeared to have been used, which is quite disgusting. I requested a new one from the front desk, and although they promised to bring one, I waited for hours and never received it.

Third, the room itself had several issues. The shower was not properly sealed, causing water to spray all over when I turned it on. The room wasn't adequately cleaned either, as there was noticeable dust on the bed and table.

Lastly, this was the first airport hotel I've stayed at that didn’t provide complimentary transportation to the airport. Guests are required to book a shuttle or taxi at an additional cost. It begs the question: why even call it an airport hotel?

This is the first time I’ve left a negative review for a Hyatt property. The service and management were incredibly disappointing. I had an otherwise wonderful vacation in Paris, but just have a terrible ending staying at this hotel.

This is a review for a five day stay at this hotel in August 2024. We stayed here as a family of 4 with 2 adults and 2 young kids. We booked a suite to stay in. The receptionist was super rude, no customer service, just gave me a 1 king bed room without any sofa bed. Since we were traveling and tired had no option to go along with this room. For 2 days we were unable to rest and decided to ask for a manager to see why we were given this room. He apologized and gave us the suite later and gave us $48 back. Such a shame, we shall not be staying here again and If you are traveling with family stay somewhere else.
