Mercure Paris CDG Airport & Convention

The hotel is in a decent location with only a 5-10min walk to the train shuttle.

The room is quite old and tired and not what I would expected from a mecure.

Customer service is well below what I expected.
I booked a two night stay for 2 adults and 2 children and arriving late in the evening. When we arrived the room was not set up for 4 people; only 1 bed made up, only 2 towels in the room and there was no soap in the shower.
We told reception and the staff weren't apologetic, considering we were carrying all of our luggage and 2 asleep children. The sofa bed was promptly made up, however only one extra towel was bought in the next day and the soap never refilled.

Overall I wouldn't stay at this hotel again with so many other options nearby, even closer to the train shuttle.

My family and I booked 4 rooms at this hotel so we could have a restful stay before our early morning flight at the nearby airport. Unfortunately we had a terrible experience. Although the hotel is listed to have air-conditioning we arrived to find out the air conditioning had been turned off for the entire hotel. We found the rooms stuffy and hot. We were unable to open the windows for air as the nearby busy road and rain and wind prevented us from getting fresh air. There was no air circulation and we found our stay very terrible. We expected a better experience from such a well known and highly rated hotel.

The worst hotel I ever had to stay!

Tiny cubicle does not enough to make a turn even. Bathroom sink was blocked by the third day of the stay, had to wait for several hours until someone attends, after informing the front desk. Same happened after asking for an iron and the iron board, since they do not provide one for each and every room.

This stay was my first time to Paris. I have used EU power sockets in London, but those were with 3 round Pins. France must be using 2 Pins type sockets. Therefore, I couldn't use my personal universal adapter. I had to ask for 5 times for an adapter, still I was not lucky enough to get one. Always their reply is 'all adapters have been taken'.

On third day of my stay, fire alarm went off. I used the emergency exit and reached assembly point. On the way, suddenly buzzer stopped and staff asked to go back to the rooms. Again the alarm went off. It does not matter to stay out for own safety. My worry is after all the trouble, kind of a manager just hand signaled to go in to the hotel without a proper explanation what happened. I was staying at 8th floor and by the time I came to the room, still alarm was working. It took another 10 to 15 minutes to stop.

It was raining so badly and asked to borrow an umbrella. Reply was they do not provide umbrellas. Come on! This is an Airport Hotel. Do you suppose people bring umbrellas in their suitcases without failing, when they roam from one country to another.

Not a single amenity in the bathroom. Only available amenity was a shower gel. Requested for indoor slippers, as usual received after few hours. Everything you request, you have to make the request at least 2 hours prior.
