Hotel Colbert

Don’t be put off by the 2 star rating; this hotel is really good. The room we had was large, clean and quiet despite being next to a pub. The bathroom was spacious and modern, the shower the best out of the 15 hotels of this trip. The hotel is a few minutes from the main shopping area and on a street with multiple restaurants with lots of food choices. The receptionist (might be the owner) is very helpful and friendly. I suspect this is rated 2 stars because there is no lift and reception is not always manned, and no toiletries in the shower (there is soap by the hand basin). Highly recommended.

Excellent spot to stay in the center of Tours! Owner is super friendly and welcoming. Hotel is right on one of the central streets with small supermarket within 2 min walk and dozens of restaurants.

Stayed one night & it was great. Room was surprisingly spacious with nice bed. Shower was fantastic. Breakfast was available if we wanted. Owner was lovely & allowed us to leave our bags for the morning while we walked around the city. Definitely recommend!

Pretty much what everyone else said! Fantastic, central location!! We had room 21 which faces the back, so it was completely quiet. Olivier offered to help carry our big bags up the stairs when we checked in and helped us again when checking out. Very basic and very clean.

The Hotel Le Colbert is a simple yet very practical hotel. Very well located in the heart of Tours with many great restaurants available nearby.

Amenities are basic with no hairdryer or iron. But the design of the rooms is modern and clean. Showers have good pressure.

Breakfast is simple but will make you full (bread, croissant, juice, coffee, tea, yoghurt...) and served from 8:00 to 10:00.

There is no elevators in the hotel.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. We had to check-in late and they accommodated accordingly.

Very basic hotel but in great location and very clean. We stayed in September 2019 and nights were cold. We dint see anything to heat up the room. We stayed there for 3 nights. Room doesn’t have amenities like hair dryer or refrigerator. It does have safe though. Also, they did not give us extra soap for 3 days. We understand French try to be eco friendly but that was a stretch. Hotel doesn’t have elevator as well so be prepared to take your luggage via stairs.

Owner of the hotel is very friendly guy and there are lots of restaurants and bars on the same road as hotel which is very very convenient.
