the window did not close, poor soundproofing all outside noises are audible. Comfortable bedding. Breakfast of choice unfortunately a coach of Germans came to have their breakfast at the same time so everything left very quickly. Industrial pastries without taste industrial orange juice. You don’t want to stay here unless you have to. Very friendly service during Dour Festival: the cleaning ladies served us breakfast after the official hours. It’s in the middle of nowhere.

A few drawbacks regarding cleanliness and the mattress where you can really feel the springs, otherwise overall not bad.

During my travels around Europe, I stayed at several ibis hotels, but this one might just be my favorite, and I definitely want to return. Stayed here a few times. The bar is surprisingly cheap compared to most of the places . The rooms have everything you would expect accept the plug sockets are a long way from the bed. The staff were all very friendly.

Small and clean room, no water kettle, no tea no coffee. Generous breakfast for a 3* hotel.

Really nice hotel and good value for money. Staff are really kind, frienfly and helpfull. Big closed car park available. It is also possible to park in the street.

We enjoyed our stay but the hotel doesn’t give a wow experience, something you would expect considering the prices and first look at the hotel. Beautiful renovation in the heart of Valenciennes. High quality hotel in every aspect. The standard rooms are very modest in size but are okay. Breakfast was good although the small food area got very busy at peak time. The downstairs spa and pool is also stunning.

It was a great stay and the property is obviously beautiful. My only issue is I wish they had informed us that we would be getting an accessible room before assigning it to us. It’s not a major issue, but it’s just better etiquette to be informed in advance. We did not want to be a hassle so did not bother making a big deal out of it.

The hotel rooms are nice - the spa is nice too. The pool area is beautiful architecture wise … However the water is a bit cold. We had a massage (duo) and it was very relaxing. The sauna is ok too. The steam sauna needed more steam. In general the experience is good - the place is amazing in beauty. What needs to be improved is the food! We have been here four times and the lounge food could be better...

Beautiful place to stay a couple of nights. Luxury atmosphere with high class facilities. Nice bars, good restaurants and a great wellness.
