Friendly hotel Nice hotel, small swimming pool, games for kids, friendly staff and good beds. One of the better hotels we've stayed at on the road.

It is quite even if it is located close to the highway. The pool is brilliant and our room was freshly renovated. Others are in the way to be.

July 2023 The best reception we have had in the last ten hotels we have recently stayed at. Family friendly. Nothing negative to report.

Just went for lunch.. wine a little over priced. But food great value and very nice. Service perfectly...

Good Hotel, Quiet Location I stay here a few times a year. Rooms are a good size. Not luxurious but has the essentials and are clean and tidy. Town centre is 10 minute walk. Nice selection at breakfast.

Quality welcome and environment. Modern room, very clean and spacious. View on inner courtyard with small parking accessible for 5 €. Breakfast is included in the price of the room

The hotel is not in city center but near the motorway, easy parking, very few the good restaurant near to hotel. The rooms were comfortable and clean. They have chairs. The breakfast was enough and fine.

Renovated and very clean hotel. Large comfortable bed, spacious bedroom. Very good quality breakfast, warm welcome. Quite reasonable price.

Three stars only because the room was realy just made for sleep and nothing else. Not bad for the money, but does not deserve more.

Don’t be put off by the outward appearance and location in an industrial area. This hotel has really comfy clean rooms, great nights sleep. Great value for an overnight stopover

the window did not close, poor soundproofing all outside noises are audible. Breakfast of choice unfortunately a coach of Germans came to have their breakfast at the same time so everything left very quickly

booked a room last minute, we didn't have high expectations but the room was great for a short stay! beds slept well and fairly modern room! the only thing was that the mirror at the door was dirty but otherwise a good room!

This is an unbelievable facility! Check out the history of the extensive renovation of this historic hospital. Every room and space is palatial and the spa pool is amazing. Good breakfast and in-house bar and restaurants

The rooms are large and beautifully decorated and the bed very comfortable. Both the bar and the atrium were deserving of a WOW as was the beautiful spa and pool

The bistro meal on day one was delicious and very good value for money. The meal in restaurant La Storia was Michelin Star worthy and the setting was beautiful. The staff and the service were very helpful and friendly

We stayed here from 6-8 May with a group of 23 lady golfers. From first contact to the last day has been a wonderful experience. The contact with the reservation staff was extremely friendly and helpful

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and our group were duly impressed. The checkin went extremely quickly and our reaction when entering the rooms was WOW

Thieri the chef patron was there to explain the menu, and throughout the meal. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and we felt really well looked after. One big comfort blanket from start finish!

Sure, the floors are a bit crooked and noise travels quite a lot through the rooms

but hey, what can you expect from a genuine 500 year old place? The entire place breathes history and the room we had was actually quite spacious. Just come here with the right mindset

As the hotel is old there are no elevators and the steps could be quite challenging if you have issues. Having said that, if you can mange the stairs the rooms were really nice

This was an excellent find!!! Although not the first choice as a tourist location Valenciennes was a lovely city to visit. A really quirky old building with great facilities within walking distance of the city centre

Old world charm Quite incredible extremely old hotel full of original features. My room had wooden beams and tapestries on the walls with scenes from the middle ages. The room and bathroom were very large

Easy to find on foot, set meal was pretty good. Whiskey selection is great. Just a couple of minutes from the train station. Would recommend for a group meal

Everything was pretty good, except it too quite sometime to get the check paid. The food was Very Good, the service was very good

Keep in mind, this restaurant is part of a hotel, so it's not a free standing 4 star restaurant

Dream my little dream Une maison bourgeoise dont le décor, original, mixe avec beaucoup de goût l'ancien et le contemporain. Je reviendrai sans hésiter en famille ou pour affaires dès mon prochain séjour à Valenciennes

A great place to stay, quirky art decorations by the artist owner, you cant walk through any room without stopping and exploring. We were made to feel really welcome

Will definately go back! Plenty of parking and lovely gardens to explore too

It's far enough from the centre of Valenciennes to necessitate a drive in for a restaurant in the evening (although a tram stop is outside the door), but we got an excellent and helpful recommendation for dinner in town (at L'escargot) from our host on the night

Only a couple of minor drawbacks - we'd asked to dine in (which appears to be an optional service) but this couldn't be confirmed when booking (a few months in advance admittedly), and it turned out to be unavailable on arrival (the host was I think away)

A one night stay, a couple of hours' drive into France from the Tunnel. Beautiful period house from the outside, very eclectic and quirky on the inside (and a surprisingly lovely long garden for a built up area)
