Beautiful renovation in the heart of Valenciennes. High quality hotel in every aspect. The standard rooms are very modest in size but are okay. Breakfast was good although the small food area got very busy at peak time. The downstairs spa and pool is also stunning.

It was a great stay and the property is obviously beautiful. My only issue is I wish they had informed us that we would be getting an accessible room before assigning it to us. It’s not a major issue, but it’s just better etiquette to be informed in advance. We did not want to be a hassle so did not bother making a big deal out of it.

The hotel rooms are nice - the spa is nice too. The pool area is beautiful architecture wise … However the water is a bit cold. We had a massage (duo) and it was very relaxing. The sauna is ok too. The steam sauna needed more steam. In general the experience is good - the place is amazing in beauty. What needs to be improved is the food! We have been here four times and the lounge food could be better...

Second time in this castle. A beautiful hotel. When booking, all wishes were taken into account. We added room decoration, as discussed. The two-level suites are very impressive in their beauty. the window did not close, poor soundproofing all outside noises are audible. Comfortable bedding. Stayed here a few times. The bar is surprisingly cheap compared to most of the places . The rooms have everything you would expect accept the plug sockets are a long way from the bed. The staff were all very friendly.

Friendly service and staff. Reasonable location for walking into centre of town. The hotel is clean and has good private parking. In my opinion it is overpriced as it needs a bit of an update and maintenance.

Overall a really nice place. Great location. The person who I spoke with -(he was on the night shift) did not speak much English but was still happy to communicate and help. Very old novotel and it shows badly. Rooms poor quality. They charge £16 for breakfast ham bread coffee outrageous but it's not the staffs fault head office set breakfast price.

Fine hotel where we arrived in the middle of the night because there was not a single room available anymore in Lille. Just fine, nice breakfast, decent room and friendly staff, but eventhough the bathroom was renewed, it’s all a bit outdated. If I was the one giving stars to hotels I’d give this one a solid set of three stars, so just fine for a night sleep and a good breakfast

A good hotel opposite the rail ? station ? and within easy walking distance of the town centre. Rooms not much to report home about but they are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is OK ? and dinner is very good. Good and free WiFi

As out of town hotels go, this is one of my favourites. It's easy to find, close to places to eat and just feels comfortable. It's very close to the motorway, but the double glazing is excellent, so I always sleep well too.

Good value for money. Only one towel in the room for four people and no one in the reception to ask for more. Then again, it was cheap and we just needed a place to stay while driving towards our final destination.

It was a welcome sight after riding in the rain for 6 hours. The lady in reception was lovely, she even gave us a little heater for the room as we was soaked to the skin. Big all you can eat breakfast was an added bonus ☺️ Biker friendly safe parking.

The hotel staff was really nice, the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. We had a sofa in the bathroom which is funny, but a cool addition. The breakfast served was nice as well, having multiple choices of cuisine.

The highlights of this hotel are the service and central location. The garden is delightful in summer, ita right across form the beautiful cathedral, and the extensive range of the services are 24hours. Great breakfast with cheese, rolls, yogurt, pastries, coffee and juice. I guess the 2 star rating comes from the rather tired decor and basic rooms. Good and flexible staff, only a bit sad you’re not allowed to sit in their beautiful interior garden terrace, reserved for their hotel guests. Their street terrace is ok and lies in the shadow from 18:00 onwards.

5 star for the restaurant. I liked the French cuisine, friendly staff and amicable chef. I had the fried pigs ear as main dish and this one was very special (but to be honest the chef warned me twice). Atmosphere (medieval building) is great. 3 star for the Hotel. Due to the old building a bit noisy and the rooms are outdated.

Everything was pretty good, except it too quite sometime to get the check paid. That's Europe for you. The food was Very Good, the service was very good. Keep in mind, this restaurant is part of a hotel, so it's not a free standing 4 star restaurant.

Easy to find on foot, set meal was pretty good. Whiskey selection is great. Just a couple of minutes from the train station. Would recommend for a group meal
