It is quite even if it is located close to the highway. The pool is brilliant and our room was freshly renovated. Others are in the way to be.

Second time I am staying in this hotel. Very nice staff, always helpful, very clean and tidy rooms every day!! Loved staying in here and there will be third time for sure. Very good breakfasts I recommend that you should try all the different breads and cheese before choosing your favorite ones :)

Very good quality Ibis in great location, lovely room, great shower and very comfortable bed with spacious off street parking. Decent breakfast and efficient helpful staff. A short walk from the centre with restaurants and bars nearby. Very nice place to stay all things considered.

During my travels around Europe, I stayed at several ibis hotels, but this one might just be my favorite, and I definitely want to return. Very well-located hotel near the city center and Valenciennes train station. The spacious room. The only downside is that the mattress isn't at all comfortable; you can feel the iron when you sleep on it. Because of this, we had to change rooms after one night because the iron we felt on the mattress prevented us from sleeping properly.

Fine hotel where we arrived in the middle of the night because there was not a single room available anymore in Lille. Just fine, nice breakfast, decent room and friendly staff, but eventhough the bathroom was renewed, it’s all a bit outdated. If I was the one giving stars to hotels I’d give this one a solid set of three stars, so just fine for a night sleep and a good breakfast

Friendly service and staff. Reasonable location for walking into centre of town. The hotel is clean and has good private parking. In my opinion it is overpriced as it needs a bit of an update and maintenance.

Good Hotel, Quiet Location I stay here a few times a year. Rooms are a good size. Not luxurious but has the essentials and are clean and tidy. Town centre is 10 minute walk. Nice selection at breakfast.

The hotel is not in city center but near the motorway, easy parking, very few the good restaurant near to hotel. The rooms were comfortable and clean. They have chairs. The breakfast was enough and fine.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was perfect for our group and the location was excellent too. Some of the group struggled with the rooms being too hot and could not seem to adjust. no servicing of rooms while we were there but maybe this is the normal arrangement? Staff v helpful and this was appreciated by all of us. Thank you

The place is very central. Rooms are OK. I had problem from shiwer ceiling dueing my stay there was water droping. Pillows are not comfy. Room size is good. Other issue: breakfast is good but very rapidly finish some items. And not renewed. Stuffs are very polite dont expect advanced English.

Lovely hotel in a great little town Lovely hotel in a great location. Right across the road from the station. Tram stops nearby, short walk in to town. Hotel is pleasant enough and suitable for my needs. Bed was comfortable, shower has good pressure and hot. Breakfast was decent with enough choice. Wouldn't hesitate to go back.

You don’t want to stay here unless you have to. Very friendly service during Dour Festival: the cleaning ladies served us breakfast after the official hours. It’s in the middle of nowhere.

A few drawbacks regarding cleanliness and the mattress where you can really feel the springs, otherwise overall not bad.

The hotel staff was really nice, the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. We had a sofa in the bathroom which is funny, but a cool addition. The breakfast served was nice as well, having multiple choices of cuisine.

The highlights of this hotel are the service and central location. The garden is delightful in summer, ita right across form the beautiful cathedral, and the extensive range of the services are 24hours. Great breakfast with cheese, rolls, yogurt, pastries, coffee and juice. I guess the 2 star rating comes from the rather tired decor and basic rooms. Only criticism is the 'Brit' soap in the bathroom...

Perfect for a short stay. The accomodation is somewhat older, but clean and price/quality is definitely ok. Small negative aspect: the receptionist smokes, so the entrance hall smells likewise.

This is an unbelievable facility! Check out the history of the extensive renovation of this historic hospital. Every room and space is palatial and the spa pool is amazing. Good breakfast and in-house bar and restaurants. A good value if you stay at least 3 days.

Loved our stay. Sure, the floors are a bit crooked and noise travels quite a lot through the rooms. but hey, what can you expect from a genuine 500 year old place? The entire place breathes history and the room we had was actually quite spacious. Staff was also nice. Just come here with the right mindset. If you care for yet another sterile environment, this place might not be for you.

This is a delightful old inn with an excellent restaurant. Parking in the spaces outside the hotel was free on Sunday until 9am Monday. Downside was we were told their Wi-Fi did not work on iPhones and the shower attachment did not work properly in room 1

This was an excellent find!!! Although not the first choice as a tourist location Valenciennes was a lovely city to visit. A really quirky old building with great facilities within walking distance of the city centre

Everything was pretty good, except it too quite sometime to get the check paid. That's Europe for you. The food was Very Good, the service was very good. Keep in mind, this restaurant is part of a hotel, so it's not a free standing 4 star restaurant.

Easy to find on foot, set meal was pretty good. Whiskey selection is great. Just a couple of minutes from the train station. Would recommend for a group meal

Nice room and a decent shower that I can move around in! Apart from initial check in (automated outside hours, which is between 1100 - 1700!) it was a great stay. Nice breakfast. Friendly staff. Enjoyed it.

This hotel is good for spending a night but no more the lady at reception is not very friendly 

French B&B not so good as in Germany. This B&B did not live up to our expectations. We have stayed at several B&B in Germany and expected the same standard in France. Unfortunately this hotel fell short - particularly on cleanliness. I will give other French B&B a try, but I'm now wary.
