The staff was very nice, Excellent service. The spa is great. The breakfast was very good. The bar was very pleasant. The room was extremely clean and well designed.

I am not sure why this hotel gets such high ratings. It is outside the city of vannes and is in a large big box store parking area. The hotel istelf is nice but basic. Rooms small with a few scuff marks on the paint. So it is an ok hotel but nothing great and quite out of the way

Situated in an industrial/shopping district, suburban. Perfect if you’re just passing through and driving to your next destination.

Nice, modern hotel with free parking on site. Close to shops and restaurants. The center of Vannes is not far away and definetly worth a visit. My room was far too hot but with no way to reduce the heat. Wonder how it is to stay here in the middle of summer? Room was otherwise clean and neat. Typical modern furniture. Apparently there is also a Spa. I did not try the breakfast.

Best times for this hotel have been 10 years ago. Lot of things outdated. Needs a refurb. Staff was friendly though.

Great team on the front desk but at breakfast and house keeping it’s not really a 4 star hotel or an Accor group level service. No latte, no cappuccino, very little greetings to people with kids at the breakfast but other couples had better greetings. Feels like we need to apologize for being a family

Comfortable rooms though it must be Accor policy not to have air conditioning switched on as room was very warm due to thundery weather and thunderstorm which flooded and brought down the ceiling in the restaurant. Great warm welcome, very friendly and helpful staff. Room was nice as you’d expect from a Mercure. The location was great for us, away from the town but close enough to get in, easy access and parking and a few minutes walk to the boats where you hop on to visit the islands. If you did want to walk into town it’s not that far and a lovely walk too.

Room was clean and staff was super helpful and kind. Parking was easy as well, in a gated area right next to the hotel.

It was a pleasure to spend my time in this hotel. The conditions were good — nothing to complain about. The room was cleaned every day, and the bed was comfortable. The room service staff were very nice. On the first day, even after the restaurant had already closed, I was still able to get a mint tea delivered to my room. The hotel is located in a corner of the city, a little far from the train station. There seems to be no direct bus, but the bus stop opposite the hotel is quite convenient to Rochefort in Terre. The location is 500 meters from the old town. There is a free city parking nearby. The room is spacious, with a small balcony. Clean and cozy. There is no refrigerator in the room.

Staff were brilliant, very accommodating to our needs. Facilities excellent and allowed for a great nights sleep. The hotel ls well positioned to explore Vannes and easily walkable to good food and drink, the old town, the rugby stadium and the port.

Ok stay, terrible WiFi. The staff were pleasant. The room was tiny, but fine. The difficult part was that we had terrible wifi and no access to the data, so trying to work was very difficult. The staff said they couldn’t help…not even in the lobby. The only way to send a message was outside of the hotel in the smoke of those exhaling their cigarettes.

I did not take advantage of the Spa but the hotel is very conveniently located, the rooms and beds are modern but, still quaint and comfortable.

Overall the stay was fine. Needed to change rooms initially because of a noisy generator. Very small fitness area and the sauna/hammam is only accessible for an extra fee. The bed was comfortable, although the water pressure for the shower wasn't great. Staff were nice. Check-out at 12 was convenient.

Whilst this is rated a 4 star hotel, the facilities and customer service would rate it lower from my own experience. The bathroom was very basic, and the toilet was on a plinth and very difficult to get on and off. The shower door was hanging off and would not close. The bed was comfortable. Decent hotel, room was pleasant, big bed, very comfy. Shower room was a little dated but everything worked fine. Was a little noise from room next door, walls a little thin, so maybe would benefit from some additional sound proofing between rooms. Breakfast was an excellent self service buffet.

The hotel’s location is excellent, a few minutes’ walk from the centre of Vannes. The car park is convenient, but extremely tight so you have to be extra careful whilst manoeuvring. Vannes railway station is about 15mins walk away. The hotel is looking a bit scruffy on the outside and a tad run down on the inside. The rooms have been refurbished to some extent, but still have quite a dingy and cheap...

Great location about 300m from top of town. Underground parking, good continental breakfast, pleasant rooms. Paper cups for making hot drinks but no milk! Staff very friendly. Vannes is excellent for a visit, highly recommended. Would stay at a different hotel next time.

Very nice hotel near to harbour

The only fault was that the tea/coffee making facility in the room wasn't very well stocked. As an English visitor, the choice of an English breakfast tea would have been welcomed as well as the herbal varieties offered. There was also no milk. Whilst I am sure the concierge would have obliged had we phoned, it wasn't so important that we felt to need to call.

Excellent access to the old town and parking is available albeit at a high price per day

The staff are very friendly and efficient . Rooms quiet and clean . This Ibis is a good find , nice food . Not a big range . But cooked nicely . I rate it .

Good location, good value for money, bus in city are frequent and cheap. Staff friendly and helpful especially as we do not speak french. Vannes has a lot to off for the visitors.

We had a lovely spacious room with a superb balcony. Food in the restaurant was excellent and we indulged ourselves in the Cave which was an extra bonus to a great stay. Very pleasant walk into Vannes itself, superb location and must return to this area very soon.

Being invited to a wedding in Vannes, we needed a hotel room for the following night. We did not regret our choice. Charming hotel, on a human scale, not a building. Very clean, well appointed rooms. The reception is open 24 hours a day. Very satisfying breakfast. Parking surrounding the hotel.

Vannes is a beautiful place. The hotel was very comfortable and situated very close to the train station and a short walk to the town centre and the harbour. Breakfast was typically continental. Fresh OJ and excellent coffee.

Simple and clean hotel, In the city center, opposite the train station. We spent one night there, the staff is very welcoming and friendly towards children with little touches and treats available for snacks.

The staff there was very welcoming, friendly and everything was clean in the hotel. The reason I put only 3 stars is because the room was small, there were only 2 drawers for our clothes. The breakfast was good but very expensive for the amount of choices (12€ per person and per day).

Quite comfortable hotel a little far from the city center

The hotel establishment is perfectly located near the Breton expressway. It is located very close to an interchange which allows multiple choices for exploring destinations in the region. The establishment has a very large car park. The rooms are very practical. The staff was very pleasant. The room corresponded perfectly to its description. There is the possibility of having breakfast.

Good location opposite station and walkable to town centre. Welcome was friendly and allowed case to be left. Breakfast included and of high quality.

After dark arrival made this a good choice. Easy, short walk from train. My single room was exceptionally clean and had all essentials. Breakfast was a highlight. Reception staff kindly assisted and tolerant of my language deficit. Would highly recommend.

A lovely location, a short 10 stroll to some lovely bars and restautants, and beautiful buildings. A smalll shelf in the shower would be useful to put your shower gel on, if I put it on the floor, I wouldn't be able to pich it up again. The owners were lovely, sending us the door code and our room numbersas it we were quite late cheching in.

Located near the station, the obliging owner let us in during their mid-day closure to leave our bags, and even gave us the key to our room immediately. The room was small but clean well laid out. Breakfast featured homemade yogurt, applesauce and jam and had a mini crepe machine. The warm family vibe was a nice change from the chain hotels. Recommended!

Great hotel in a brilliant location on the Conleau peninsular. Nearby are two bar/ restaurants and a small sandy beach popular with locals and good for swimming. There is a €1.5 bus into town that takes about 10-15 minutes. Sad to report that the mist showers are useless and water not hot. Take a proper shower head if going (but why should we?)

Overall an excellent stay at the Roof hotel. Comfortable and quiet corner prestige room with two balconies overlooking the Golfe. Lovley hotel with good views My stay was good. Room was perfect and balcony an added bonus. Menu is mostly seafood as to be expected. The hotel has a standard hear leave throughout including rooms 22 in Dec is cold for me.

Loving family-run hotel in a central location Well furnished, but very small rooms. Rather unsuitable for families with children. Just right for adventurous vacationers. Note: parking is very good and free around Art Palais But be careful! The multi-storey car park is not open at night or on Sundays

Super professional staff, helped to find our towed car (watch the signs!) The breakfast is superb, do not miss it. Clean and cozy, big wall on the window view, close to supermarket and stores and also the nice entrance of the old walled city and the tourist zone. We will be back.

Very disappointed that could not make a drink in the room or buy one from machine (broken) or person, especially after a long journey when we did not want to have to go out looking for a drink. Rooms were not much more than beds and a small bathroom, but was clean and modern. Air conditioned room was fantastic during the heat to cool off. Breakfast in the morning is very basic and if you want enough food at an appropriate temperature you should get there early as it all had run out by the time we got there. Nice restaurant right next to the hotel for dinner.
