The hotel is close to the city centre and very close to the seaside, also close to a lot of cafes and bars so, location wise it's spot on. The staff were all very courteous, friendly and accomodating.
The room I stayed in was a single and a very small one at that but it was serviceable. Not lavish but for a night or two it was fine albeit it lacked both the space and any extra amenities and sadly, the bathroom was extremely small, which deducted a few points from the overall experience.
Still, it had a beautiful view over the sea from the small balcony which was a nice plus.
If the price is right, it's an okay choice.

Don’t even think about booking this place !
I made the mistake of ignoring other people’s reviews because I was only planning to stay for one night. I’m a backpacking traveler and have seen a lot - but this is truly next level (in the worst possible way).
Akis at reception was very accommodating.

Great stay. Rooms serviced everyday. Towels changed daily , which was awesome 👌

Although the hotel is a bit old, it is actually quite sufficient for 2-3 day visits. The rooms are clean, the air conditioning works properly, the bathroom and toilet are a bit narrow but sufficient. The staff seems to be a bit more distant according to Greek hospitality. But we did not experience any unpleasantness, the breakfast was also quite sufficient. It is a complete price-performance hotel.

Hello All,
I will mention again my bad experience about Hotel Alkyon in Alexandrapoli
Firstly, when enterance the hotel the room was smelled and dirty when i walked in bathroom and balcon really shocked.
The corner of the roof was too much bugs, insects and also there were hoppers inside of the bed.
Athough i have a little baby the place not healthy and hygenic for my little one,I got a response could not be possible. Its not a solving the proble the responsible of the hotel.
Secondly, the some of the rooms were in the swattee/flapper in their balcon.however my room is not protected with this flapper.
There were too much bugs, insects due to the responsible employee forget to close the window, İ am sure (when i enterance the room the window was open)
The last one, its not suitable for me and also my family and the recepcionist was rude when ı try to talk with him the what ı experienced during in 15 minutes where I stayed at hotel.
I attached the photos of the room for all person without going to this hotel think more than twice.
And also, ı could not get fee refund and consider that booking.com is not enough forced with that issue and do not refund my paid money in hotel. I have to change the hotel after this experienced and paid too much to compensate

A building in front of the balconies that is not visible in any official picture from the hotel. For the price and the pictures you can assume that you are right on the main street... That's not the case. Other than that it's close to basically everything. Convenience store, bars, beach etc...

Central location next to the seaside and the hustle and bustle of the main stroll area with restaurants and cocktail bars. For those that prefer traditional ambience. Clean room and good breakfast that was optional. Great value for money. 👍

Excellent affordable hotel !!!
Rooms are spacious and very clean .
Walking distance to the sea as well as restaurants, shops and town .
Very friendly staff .
What an awesome experience sitting on the balcony enjoy the views of beautiful Greece .

This is a budget 3 star hotel, so it is easy on the wallet. The rooms are smallish but clean and comfortable and have a balcony. The staff are friendly and helpful. They serve a basic breakfast in pleasant surroundings. The hotel is very close to the beach esplanade and within easy walking distance to the center of Alexandrouplolis.
