Sunset Hotel

One of the best hotels I have stayed in! The view was gorgeous and we sat outside for hours. There was a little jacuzzi on the ledge and tons of seating area to eat breakfast and enjoy the view.

We could not have asked for a more perfect hotel! It was in a perfect location - walking distance to everything we wanted to do. It was very clean with lovely staff who helped us with whatever was needed. You even have a made to order breakfast every morning!

Definitely bang for your buck when it comes to the views! This hotel is not only in a great city location, but it is close to a parking lot and only down one flight of stairs which is very helpful when you have heavy suitcases. Nik was helpful in every way and the breakfast was delightful. Sunset views right from our hotel makes sense how this hotel got its name. Only complaint would be maybe a thicker mattress and an extra garbage can in the room. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

My stay at the Sunset Hotel in Santorini was nothing short of spectacular, offering an experience that truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment my dad and I checked in, we were greeted by the breathtaking views that could easily be valued at a million dollars, complemented by rooms that provided excellent value for the price.

The double bed room we shared was perfectly sized, cozy, and equipped with all the essentials, including a coffee maker and refrigerator, which was a convenient addition for storing drinks. The daily breakfast spread was a highlight, boasting a vast variety of options that were both delicious and satisfying, ensuring a great start to each day.

What set Sunset Hotel apart was its exceptionally friendly staff. Their unwavering dedication to service was evident through daily room cleanings, fresh towels, and their eagerness to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The direct balcony access from our room was a lovely touch, allowing us to soak in the serene ambiance of Santorini at our leisure.

While the jacuzzi was a tad lukewarm, a characteristic I’ve come to recognize in many European establishments, it was a minor detail in the grand scheme of our delightful stay. The absence of a couch in the room was noted, as a second chair or small sofa would have enhanced our comfort during the chillier, windier days. Nonetheless, this did not detract significantly from our overall experience.

The cave hotel design meant navigating a wet bathroom floor post-shower, but the abundance of fresh towels provided each day made it a non-issue, reflecting the thoughtful attention to guest convenience.

In summary, my stay at the Sunset Hotel was marked by extraordinary staff, excellent facilities, and memories I’ll cherish forever. It stands as a testament to the beauty and hospitality of Santorini. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a memorable stay on the island and eagerly anticipate my next visit.

The best budget hotel in the area with great views. You can see the sea and sunset from inside the room. Room was clean. Iron with iron board, fresh towels, small fridge, safebox and one table 2 chairs are provided. Only limited drinking water is provided and after that you can get a 1.5 litre bottle for 1 euro. I’d recommend you to get bottles from a nearby super market for much cheaper price.

Breakfast is decent and good to go before heading to touristy activities. Only drawback is that you have to drag your luggage on small stairs yourself.

A dream location! The position of the hotel is ideal, on the edge of the caldera but still there are not many stairs to go down, a few hundred meters from restaurants and a supermarket and with a very large parking lot nearby, and Fira is only a 15-minute leisurely walk away. The staff was very kind, the ladies who provided cleaning and breakfast always with a smile on their face and a warm greeting.
The room is spacious enough, with a large bathroom, with good shower pressure and very fast water flow, smart TV, wardrobe, silent refrigerator and coffee maker. Since it was off-season, I did not use the air conditioning. The wifi signal was very good. The rich breakfast, even if it was the same every day, gave us the necessary energy to start the day, being served on the terrace in front of the room with an unforgettable view.
We recommend this accommodation location and we would always return there!

Sunset is a great place to say in Santorini. The location is excellent and the service even better. The hot tub needs to get warmer, otherwise you can’t beat this place and Nick is a wonderful host.

This hotel was exactly what we were looking for. The location was close to everything in Fira but still was quiet, the view was absolutely amazing, and the breakfast was a wonderful touch. We truly enjoyed our stay here and would stay again when we plan a return visit!

We stayed only one night here to experience the sunset a lot of people were raving about before heading to our final destination, Oia.
In short, it was a great stay; fantastic views/sunset to die for, clean, comfortable and functional room, and the inclusive breakfast that's minimalistic but nice enough to get us through the morning. But I can't rate it 'Fantastic' or '10/10' as there were two issues that are not so trivial. One was kind of health and safety issue; the pull out single bed had a sticking out metal bits on the bottom end. My son and I both bumped into it and got skins off the shin, which was very painful and unsightly for my shorts day. Disappointing! The other one was that the toilet flush button was loose on the wall which caused inconvenience each time we had to go to the toilet. It could have been easily fixed before we arrived there. Little things can make a big difference to the whole impression/image of the place. Never mind!

Top location in Santorini, we visited most of the island and we didn’t find a better view of the Caldera than our hotel room. Quiet location as well and in walking distance from Fira. Friendly and very helpful staff, they gave us information and suggestions about the island. We had breakfast every morning which was served to the outdoor space of our room. Would definitely book the same hotel If I come back to Santorini.
