Mare Monte was a dream. It is a beautiful property, steps away from the beach with stunning views. Rooms are clean and the hosts (Lambros, Nikki, Katerina) are wonderful. They were very responsive, helpful and friendly. I highly recommend the place to anyone visiting Ios!

Perfect hotel, close to the beach, family run and cosy. The rooms are cleaned daily and there is parking nearby. You just need to cross the road for the beach and all of the restaurants, car rentals and a market is located in the port.

We had the best time at Mare Monte - decent rooms with a lovely balcony overlooking the pool that an amazing place to take a dip and catch the sun when the nearby beach was too windy. Room cleaning every day left the room spotless and was unobtrusive and occurred at convenient times 5 minutes walk from the port on flat ground (so easy to take luggage), and right next to Yalu beach and amazing cafes...

The hotel is in the country and has a bus stop 2 minutes away. From Mylopotas it is 10 minutes at the most and from the port 10-15'.

Excellent spot in the country (everything was next to and with easy access to MMM) with a great view of the whole island. The service was highly professional (all the staff are friendly and willing to help you to suggest activities) and the icing on the cake was the cleanliness. I RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE

Great place to stay. Old hotel but with all the hospitality of Vaggelis, helping to make the stay very pleasant. Transportation to/from port by him was really helpful.

We have to be very honest this hotel is a must in Ios. If you have a chance to go to this island one day don’t hesitate to book a room there. We had an amazing stay at Poseidon hotel! Marina and Spiros were very welcoming and friendly. The location is fantastic, just a 5min walk to the beach and 15min to the city center and the view from the balcony and swimming pool are great. Thank you very much for your hospitality :)

We had the seaview room and was very good. The room was newly renovated with quite good soundproofing and amazing view. Just 1 minute walk from the port, which is perfect for island hopping. We had food and drink in the restaurant. The outdoor seating area is beautiful with lovely sections of seating mixed with wonderful plants. The pizzas are amazing! They're handmade and cooked in the outdoor pizza oven, you can view the whole process. Very quick service!

Our friends stayed in this hotel while we were in another one nearby. The staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was really welcoming. I had the best greak salad in Ios and we really liked the pizza. Ps: the small one is enough for 2. I appreciate the young staff that tried their best to meet clients needs.

I could not speak more highly of Markos Village. My stay was a 10/10. The family are so beautifully caring & kind. There is a really great communal bar and pool area. Most friendly owner I ever met, beautiful pool with sunbeds and chairs&tables, located only a few steps away from the nightlife with a beautiful view of Chora. Definetly worth the money, the interior of the rooms is a bit outdated, but everything works and every room has its own balcony, bath and even a fridge.

This hotel was lovely. Right in the centre of chora with excellent access to chora Town and the bus stops to go to the beaches. C'est un hôtel qui mérite d'être connu. Les chambres sont grandes , le ménage est fait quotidiennement. Irène et george sont très serviables et savent rendre ce lieu très convivial. Des tortues se promènent sur la grande terrasse. Irène assure la navette aller/retour avec le port. Le raidillon d'une centaine de mètres pour acceder à l'hôtel peut poser problème.
