I don't understand all these low reviews. Yes the rooms aren't fancy and modern but they are clean, comfortable and authentic. The pool is fantastic. Perfect size, temperature and dynamic of adults mainly. The food is outstanding. Simple, but exactly what you want. Big cheap buckets of chips but the pool or a missive plate of nachos. Lovely place to stay in ios, close to the port and to the village. Staff are all friendly and it has a lovely pool and bar. Main draw back is the room was small, dirty when we went in first and a lack of clean towels.

Fantastic place just on the outskirts of town... Cute room... Not huge but super clean and nicely painted. Good wifi connection unlike the 4star we were in on the last island. Super friendly owner who takes a great deal of pride in her hotel and gardens... Beautiful clean sparkling pool... Place to safely park off the road. The plants and flowers are beautiful.... Very nice people and a very good location. The breakfast was very nice and the pool very welcome :). Rooms are nice and clean. I slept very good. The hotel owners, two sisters, makes you feel welcome on this beautiful island. Like coming home. I loved it!!

What a wonderful holiday in Ios! We stayed in hotel Mare Monte and i have only good things to say about the place. Hosts were wonderful, caring and reliable. Breakfast was good, location perfect (close to the beach, close to the port) and the pool was great. We had a noisy group next door but our hostess gave the boys a good talk and next night was quiet. :)

Excellent spot in the country (everything was next to and with easy access to MMM) with a great view of the whole island. The service was highly professional (all the staff are friendly and willing to help you to suggest activities) and the icing on the cake was the cleanliness. I RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE

Great place to stay. Old hotel but with all the hospitality of Vaggelis, helping to make the stay very pleasant. Transportation to/from port by him was really helpful.

Myself and 7 others stayed here for a week. We were beyond impressed with everything. The rooms were cleaned every morning and the pool was always kept immaculate. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us.

Nice rooms and great pool, very good value for money, right next to a bus stop and walking distance from the port and town.

A beautiful family run hotel. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay. Nikki and Lisa are fantastic hosts, nothing is too much trouble for them. This is evident in the number of people who holiday there every year. Highly recommend.

We had such an amazing stay recently we were there for 4 nights and felt well looked after. It is a grea location, good sized room and Nicky and Lisa were so lovely felt like I was home. 10/10 would recommend to anyone wanting a great experience in IOS.

Fantastic hosts, Nikiforos and Lisa, they made our stay easier, more comfortable, gave us tips to go explore and references for some good local food. Spotless clean room and hotel, with a huge swimming pool and a rich breakfast coming from their own produce! If ever in Ios we will come back definitely!

Ios Resort is located at the entrance of the Chora, close to Alma Sunset Bar. Mike and Marousa will make you feel home. They will suggest you a lot of tips on Ios. Our bedroom was completely new and big; beautiful the pool area where you can relax, drink and eat. If you want to try, ask Mike to cook for you an “orzo carbonara”. Really amazing. We stayed for a week on the triple executive room. Our stay was unforgettable, exceptional. Great facilities, loved the pool the lounge and the pool bar. This Hotel is lovely. Practically on the beach. Gorgeous pool and sunbeds. Room was perfect, food for breakfast really good, pizzas amazing. Restaurant serving lovely food. Quiet, peaceful and relaxing with excellent staff. Been twice now and will visit again. Absolutely loved it. Bus service is good, need to visit Chora. We had food and drink in the restaurant. The outdoor seating area is beautiful with lovely sections of seating mixed with wonderful plants. The pizzas are amazing! They're handmade and cooked in the outdoor pizza oven, you can view the whole process. Very quick service!

Our friends stayed in this hotel while we were in another one nearby. The staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was really welcoming. I had the best greak salad in Ios and we really liked the pizza. Ps: the small one is enough for 2. I appreciate the young staff that tried their best to meet clients needs.

The staff were so lovely and it was a beautiful spot right by the water. The room was clean and came with the essentials. It is at the bottom of the hill that you can either take a car or Vespa up (unsure if there is a bus) or a short walk up so it is dependent on your itinerary and how long you plan to stay on . We had the seaview room and was very good. The room was newly renovated with quite good soundproofing and amazing view. Just 1 minute walk from the port, which is perfect for island hopping. The area is family friendly with lots of restaurant and cafes. Very friendly hostess too. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing stay at Poseidon hotel! Marina and Spiros were very welcoming and friendly. The location is fantastic, just a 5min walk to the beach and 15min to the city center and the view from the balcony and swimming pool are great. Thank you very much for your hospitality :)

Travelled all through Europe and never felt so comfortable in this hotel. Marina and her family were the nicest people we have met throughout all our travels. Sit by the pool and have a laugh and drink with them you will not regret it. We will most certainly be doing the long hall from Australia to relive our experience again. Adios!

I had a great experience at the Sunrise Hotel, the pool and the bedroom are aewsome, and the Staff of the hotel ? They are the best. I highly recommend the place and the islands of IOS, you should come here and enjoy a nice stay, can’t wait to comeback!

Serious place the ursus was unbelievable even tho it ran out a couple of times. The toastier we’re class and the ursus was unbelievable. The shots were dirt cheap and the ursus was unbelievable. The bathroom was a little small, other than that, really no complain and the staff was very friendly, helpful and provided great service, including transportation from the hotel to the port of Ios and vice versa.

I could not speak more highly of Markos Village. My stay was a 10/10. The family are so beautifully caring & kind. There is a really great communal bar and pool area. It’s in and ideal location and feels very safe as a solo female traveller - very close to the main nightlife. Thank you for having me to stay!

Most friendly owner I ever met, beautiful pool with sunbeds and chairs&tables, located only a few steps away from the nightlife with a beautiful view of Chora. Definetly worth the money, the interior of the rooms is a bit outdated, but everything works and every room has its own balcony, bath and even a fridge.

The staff were super friendly, they even took the time to learn some finnish words to greet us. They picked us up from the port on time and for a very reasonable rate. The room was clean. The views are amazing. The food is cheap and delicious and it is close to the village and the beach. They were also very helpful pointing us to the good spots to visit. Not a single complaint. Fantastic place to stay while visiting ios. For a more quiet or mature crowd , not for groups of party people. Half way between the town and the beach so you have the best of both worlds, specially if you walk everywhere like I do. stunning location and the staff is just amazing.

Very clean and safe hotel. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The views from the hotel are great and the restaurant was very good value. Also it is only a 5 minute walk from the town centre.
