I stayed at the Mare Monte with my friends whilst on our graduation trip. The location is beautiful, but unfortunately the owners’ unfriendliness and lack of hospitality ruined our time there. The owners yelled at us even though we were not particularly loud, and even walked in our room while we were in it. Unbelievable that we were treated in such a way just because we’re teenagers. We were always respectful and did not deserve such treatment, especially when paying for a service like a hotel. Beds were uncomfortable as well. Says that breakfast is included but did not actually get any. Do not reccomend.

This "hotel" was a mess from start to bottom. The service was awful, our peace was disturbed multiple times as there was unecessary remarks and knocking on doors by the rude and unprofessional staff and owners. Furthermore, be warned: the pictures are misleading, the rooms are much crappier, whilst the walls are paper thin and everything is audible. Definitely would NOT use their services again!
P.S. One day during breakfast, one of the owners used a fork to eat warermelon from the bouffet and placed it back inside the bowl without cleaning it - disgusting!

What a wonderful holiday in Ios!
We stayed in hotel Mare Monte and i have only good things to say about the place. Hosts were wonderful, caring and reliable. Breakfast was good, location perfect (close to the beach, close to the port) and the pool was great.
We had a noisy group next door but our hostess gave the boys a good talk and next night was quiet. :)

Fantastic place just on the outskirts of town... Cute room... Not huge but super clean and nicely painted. Good wifi connection unlike the 4star we were in on the last island. Super friendly owner who takes a great deal of pride in her hotel and gardens... Beautiful clean sparkling pool... Place to safely park off the road. The plants and flowers are beautiful.... We love and recommend... .. this is one of the better small hotels we have visited.

Very nice people and a very good location. The breakfast was very nice and the pool very welcome :). Rooms are nice and clean. I slept very good.
The hotel owners, two sisters, makes you feel welcome on this beautiful island. Like coming home. I loved it!!
