Beautiful family run hotel with stunning rooms and courtyard views of the pool. We love the local family that run with place with such philoxenia and Greek generosity. Excellent buffet breakfast, the best aperol spritz on the island, and a beautiful beach a few yards away!

Mare Monte was a dream. It is a beautiful property, steps away from the beach with stunning views. Rooms are clean and the hosts (Lambros, Nikki, Katerina) are wonderful. They were very responsive, helpful and friendly. I highly recommend the place to anyone visiting Ios!

Perfect hotel, close to the beach, family run and cosy. The rooms are cleaned daily and there is parking nearby. You just need to cross the road for the beach and all of the restaurants, car rentals and a market is located in the port.

We had the best time at Mare Monte - decent rooms with a lovely balcony overlooking the pool that an amazing place to take a dip and catch the sun when the nearby beach was too windy. Room cleaning every day left the room spotless and was unobtrusive and occurred at convenient times 5 minutes walk from the port on flat ground (so easy to take luggage), and right next to Yalu beach and amazing cafes...

The hotel is in the country and has a bus stop 2 minutes away. From Mylopotas it is 10 minutes at the most and from the port 10-15'.

Accessible spot, incredible view and helpful staff!!

Excellent spot in the country (everything was next to and with easy access to MMM) with a great view of the whole island. The service was highly professional (all the staff are friendly and willing to help you to suggest activities) and the icing on the cake was the cleanliness. I RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE

We have to be very honest this hotel is a must in Ios. If you have a chance to go to this island one day don’t hesitate to book a room there. We stayed at Skala for 4 nights and everyone there was so accommodating. The staff were friendly and made us feel at home. The pool and pool bar were great if you wanted to hang around the hotel and they also helped us hire an ATV to explore the island. Would 100% be coming back to stay again.

The host picked us up from the port and gave us a great overview of the town and various activities around upon arrival. Location is unfaultable, just across the road from the beach.
