Frosini Gardens

We loved our stay at the hotel. The room was exceptionally clean and was cleaned daily by the housekeeper without ask. The owners are friendly, welcoming, and work hard to run the hotel. Location is only a few minutes walk to the centre and beaches, but far enough away for it to be quiet on an evening.

We would stop here again if returning to Kassiopi

4.5 stars if I could rate that way. Nice apartments. The owners may come across a bit grumpy at times but they are just quiet and reserved I think, they were always polite to us. Pool is really good only comment on the pool it should open at 9 not 10 and could do with a bit of music on around the pool in the day. Rooms are spacious we had the older ones and could do with a bit of tlc. Ours was in a great position for the pool and nipping back to the room for food. The food at the bar was average only used it a few times as there were nicer places to eat. Bar closed at 9 which was a shame as when you get back from food it’s nice to have a drink at the place you are staying to maybe chat to others staying there. Overall it is a great place to stay close to the main part for food and drink and a nice pool. Other thing is cleaner came everyday which is nice and we’ve never had before in all the Greek islands we have been to. Usually every other day so was very clean. Also free wifi in rooms and around the pool which kids loved.

Just stayed at Frosini Gardens for a short break and will definitely be going back. Welcomed by George and Costas with a bottle of water and a drink. Kassiopi is a favourite place of ours and would always return and same now goes for Frosini Gardens. Ideally located for everything in resort, room was amazing, we stayed in the newer block. Had an early morning pick up and George gave us an early breakfast before we left, most accommodating.

Just visited the pool. It's 3 euro per person for the visit, and worth it for the peace and quiet. Friendly staff, pretty and spacious garden.

We stayed at Frosini Gardens for a week in June/July 2018. Overall, it was a good experience and we had a fantastic holiday in Kassiopi.

On arrival, we were greeted with drinks by George, who gave us a warm welcome. We were checked in and shown to our room quickly, which was great as we were tired from flying.

Room 1 was ours. It has been refurbished and is one of the better rooms we have stayed in whilst in Greece. It was cleaned to a high standard and the bedroom was very modern. The bed was comfy, one of the comfiest we've had, which helped us sleep well at night. The mattresses on the sofa beds are also very comfy. The apartment is well lit, both naturally and artificially. The fridge freezer was good, although loud at times. Our kitchen was well equipped with a toaster, kettle and oven. There's plenty of storage in the wardrobes and in the bedroom too. The shower in the bathroom was fantastic - a good temperature and it was also good to have a shower which didn't flood the bathroom, which is common in some Greek accommodation. The bathroom itself is quite modern and well lit - there's a hairdryer in there too. The extractor fan was faulty though, as well as a few plug sockets and light bulbs in the room. The cleaner was very efficient, although on one particular day the cleaner left the patio door open whilst we were out, which worried us as anybody could have walked in.

A word of warning - our apartment was on the road side unfortunately, and whilst the noise isn't a problem indoors (double glazed windows), it really was a problem on the terrace/balcony as the main road is right next to you, with noisy motorbikes, cars and coaches passing by all day. This was very unfortunate as for us, sitting out on the terrace and reading during the day is a big part of the holiday when you're trying to relax. It's not as if you could move to the bar/pool area either as music is played around there during the day. It would have also been good to have a drying rack for our towels and trunks too, as we had to lay them out on the wall instead. We read in the reception area however, so we didn't try and let it bother us too much - the reception area is modern and well maintained, with plenty of seats and sofas to sit on. The WiFi worked in the reception area although it appears you are time limited on it, as if you try and sign back in after a period of time, you are constantly redirected to the sign in page.

The pool was probably the best in Kassiopi. It's open between 9am and 7pm. There's the main pool, which is huge, and also a smaller pool which is for children but was pretty much empty when we went in June. The pool is modern and clean, as it was replaced as part of the refurbishment at Frosini. It never got too busy for us in the early season, which was a bonus. We also never struggled to find a sunbed, though the woven ones are slightly uncomfortable and most could do with replacing. One complaint I had was that the gardeners strimmed the grass during the day, whilst we were trying to relax, not too much of a problem though as I listened to music. The bar was very reasonably priced and the moussaka and Greek salad were delicious. You can also buy other things from the bar, such as milk/crisps and 6 bottles of water (1.5L) for €1.80 I believe and we were given a bottle of water free upon arrival.

Our stay at Frosini Gardens was great and we were made to feel welcome. There could be some maintainance improvements in the rooms and if possible, something to better screen the roadside noise out on those terraces and balconies, but all in all it was a great stay. It was lovely that George saw us off at the end of our holiday, especially as there was no Thomas Cook rep on the coach. Thank you! ☺
