Rooms look nothing like picture which i paid extra for.... We got to room after a very late flight Room was dirty had to clean toilet before I used as there was body hair all on the seat My daughters broken bed is full of crumbs and hair complained several times to reception about the mess but still nothing has been done about it... You need gloves on to touch the remote control

On arrival we were shown to are rooms the resort was really nice, and clean with well kept gardens. Our toilet seat was broken and the fridge was leaking water they repaired the toilet seat and sorted the fridge out straight away.. We were disappointed because we were in the middle of nowhere we found a little shop next door to buy water but the shop didn't have anything there. It wasn't well stocked so we ended up paying for breakfast which was a buffet it wasn't the best as the beans were cold. They were using the hot holding to cook the beans it made me wonder what else they were doing. The Juices was watered down so was the coffee. There is a nice breakfast bar at the back of the Hotel for 9 Euros a lot nicer. I inquired about the spa facilities as it said they have a spa on there website that don't exist anymore. The people at the bar were miserable. I paid for drinks at the bar the girl threw the change at me she was so rude. I was drinking soft drinks because i was taking medication. If you want to spend all day by the pool and no exploring this is the place for you. You have to get on a bus to a lidl store to buy food and stuff. There is a nice restaurant family run across the road which is much cheeped and also another restaurant at the back of the hotel. You need a car which is 50 Euros a day. As it is so desolate there no shops or bars. There is a pebble beach but it not safe for children. You have to travel on the bus to find a sandy beach. We had to travel on a bus to find out about other excursions. The hotel is aware that there is nothing around what would be nice is to have a kind of map of things you can do. We wanted to watch the football and was told we could not watch it on there tv at the bar. The bar closes at 11pm.

I stayed at this hotel for a week and the room was clean, and near the pool. The staff at reception was helpful and friendly. But the staff at the bar were moody. The hotel is in the middle of no where with not many restaurant around there are no other shops or bars. Across the road from the hotel is a really nice family run restaurant which is much cheaper and nice food there. But they don't do breakfast. There is a small shop next to the hotel but it is not stocked up and it was disappointing because you could not buy much there. You have to ride on the bus to get to a Liddle store for self catering. I did not use the Hotel restaurant as we preferred the one across the road as food and drink was much cheaper. There is also another restaurant at the back of the hotel. Also one near the pep ply beach. You can get the bus to the next village it also goes to Chania as there is more shops and restaurant, hotels and you will find a sandy beach. The beach by the Hotel is a stone beach and its not suitable for children it very deserted. If you do go in the water there it get deep quite quickly the beach is not manned or anything so it could be quite dangerous and isolating. we did buy breakfast at the hotel but really we should of gone somewhere else as some of the hot food was cold. They put cold beans in the bambarine that when questioned they said it ok they will warm up in there. NOT GOOD. The juices were watered down . At the back of the hotel there is a bar hotel and you can get a really nice breakfast for 10 Euros. We picked this hotel to use the spa facilities as it would benefited my mum as she got leg problems, but we where told the this hotel doesn't do the spa treatment anymore and that was very disappointing. You really need to hire a car to stay here which is 50 euros a day. Or take a bus as it is very isolating. I was disappointed because I like watching football and rugby I asked the man at the hotel if he could put the sport on he said no.

The hotel was amazing. The rooms were cleaned daily, the water in the pool was very clean, and the receptionists were very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were very good, with a large selection and everything fresh. We were there in June – there was no animation or music by the pool, which suited us very well. It was very pleasant and intimate. There were plenty of sun loungers – about half of them were always empty. You can rent a car through the reception desk, and the rental company accepts debit cards (credit cards are not obligatory for rental). Close to the hotel (about a 10-minute walk) there are two taverns right on the seashore where you can eat well and enjoy a beautiful view :) Everything was absolutely wonderful. I send special greetings to the ladies at the reception desk :)

Our 14-day holiday at Kastalia Village was truly amazing. We were lucky to have one of the best rooms, with a stunning sea view that we enjoyed every morning and evening—even from the bath! ️The hotel was clean and the pool area was well-maintained. It seemed like all the kids had a great time there, which created a relaxed and happy atmosphere. We didn’t eat at the hotel, so we can’t comment on the food, but since the price for our stay was really good, we rented a car and spent most of our time exploring the beautiful island of Crete. As a family, what mattered most was the quality time we had together, and Kastalia Village offered the perfect base for that. We’re grateful for the experience and would happily return.☀️

Excellent choice of pools, great staff - friendly and very helpfull - we were self catering and he facilities were great - only down side was the lack of a convenient Supermarket. There are loads around, but all required a bus journey to reach them. Only down side was the property next door which hd two noisy dogs that started barking early every morning!

Nice place. Pebble beach with a sandy seabed starting in ca 1m as you enter the water. Possible to snorkel in 10-15m from the shore to see colorful fish. :)

Travelled here for a week with family recently. The hotel staff are very friendly however the downfall to this was there was no entertainment, this was a huge shock to us how quiet the hotel was. The water out of the bar pump had an awful smell, rooms weren't cleaned everyday also. The area is nice however just a few things which I wanted to mention.

The hotel was lovely with plenty to keep the kids entertained. We had no issues finding sun loungers and in a group of eight that is not always the easiest task. The food at the snack bar was lovely although we found the buffet breakfast slightly disappointing. The biggest let down was that upon arrival the glasses in the cupboards hadn't been cleaned but otherwise the rooms were spotless
