Road works made us get lost

My wife and I spent one night at Zagamilos Hotel. The location requires walking thru steep streets to get to the marina and the restaurants there. The room was small but comfortable, although the air conditioning did not appear to be that strong. The beds were very firm. Unfortunately, there was road work just outside of the hotel which prevented us from parking and required us to lug our bags from the street (~60 m). It would have been nice to get some advance notice about the construction from the hotel prior to checkin. Thankfully, the construction should be completed in a week or two.

Never again! We booked a room a month in advance via phone, confirmed the same day as arrival, and found ourselves without a room! The reception staff told us a fairy tale about our room A/C being broken, no other room being available, and tried to send us elsewhere. The worst part is that we were returning to the Zagamilos for the third year in a row and as repeat customers they should have treated us better. Unreliable! Never again!

Great hotel with clean rooms, great location, in walking distance to the beautiful center of Koroni, close to the beach and restaurants. A lot of parking space and one of the coolest hosts I've ever seen!

We were due to join our friends' yacht for a week on 4 September but the captain's wife developed Covid-19 five days before this which meant we needed somewhere to stay for two nights. We directed our taxi driver from Kalamata Airport to stop here and we met the charismatic Nikos who welcomed us in. We were given a fine sea facing room which we liked a lot. We enjoyed the stroll to the sandy beach and we had a lunch and two evening meals at the beach restaurant. Breakfasts were very good and we enjoyed chatting with Nikos who kindly dropped us off at the beach with our luggage on our last day from where we were collected in our friends' yacht. A fine start to a memorable 17 day Greek trip!

It was the dirtiest hotel i have ever seen. The room was dusty, the toilet smelt like a public one, the shower drain was clogged by hair. Spider webs were hanging from the ceiling.

Stayed one night and that was enough. Floor hadn’t been swept after previous clients because I found hair bands and hair on the floor. Bloody encrusted mosquitos on the wall. Smell coming from the bathroom took my breath away. We always stay in simple accommodation but this was a bit too much.

Great family-run business. Clean and well-lit rooms. Good service, great view to the sea. Traditional greek breakfast. Zaga beach and Nemi beach are the nearest great beaches.
