Astros Beach Boutique Hotel in Paralio Astros

I booked a room for four nights at €110 per night. When I made the reservation three months in advance, additional rooms were available. Two weeks prior to my scheduled arrival, I was informed that a problem with the channel manager was causing overbookings, and I was advised to cancel my reservation. Few weeks before my supposed arrival, similar rooms were available and listed listed at approximately €250 per night.

- My reservation was made prior to the overbooking issue, so the hotel should honor it by canceling reservations made after mine at higher rates, rather than requiring me to do so.

- In similar situations, other hotels typically seek alternative solutions or accommodations; such options were not offered or considered in this case.

- Overbooking for a small family-run hotel is unprofessional and may undermine the hotel's reliability for future guests.

- Overbooking is a management issue; it is not the responsibility of the guest. The hotel should take responsibility and handle affected reservations accordingly, rather than implying that I canceled.

Terrible hotel! Very smoky and the air conditioning doesn’t work. No screens on windows or doors, and no fans. We were supposed to stay for 6 nights but checked out after one. They refused to refund for the remaining 5 nights. Be aware of this hotel. The employees lie about fixing the air conditioning from previously read reviews. They smoke in the downstairs lounge area which travels up to the rooms. Cleanliness is mediocre at best. The mattress was stained on the corner. Looked like a dog lifted its leg on it.

We've stayed in this hotel several times in the past. The experience was good. Since the last time we were there (3 Years ago) the hotel has deteriorated quite a bit. We did not have hot water for 3 days. I immediately brought this to the attention of the front desk on day one. and was assured that it would be fixed. I was informed that it was due to a bad fuse. Day two, no hot water again. This time the response was........ "It will be fine you won't need to worry about it any more because you are leaving tomorrow". We checked out and moved to the hotel next door. Our friend, who was in another room was missing a toilet seat. When he mentioned this to the front desk, their response was "We know, it happened yesterday" (That was it... No effort to address the matter) My friend asked for another room and was told that none were available. He went three days without a toilet seat. At least the breakfast was edible. We will not be staying there again. P.S. No offer of financial credit or discount was ever extended.

We have been coming to this hotel for years with family and friends, loving the location and amenities. This trip has been very sad for this hotel because it has deteriorated. Bathroom with no toilet seat, no shower doors. No hot water each morning. Dead bugs on the floor. Such a beautiful hotel and perfect location, only if they maintained it. It was embarrassing to bring our friends here.
