Ianos Bay in Lefkada Town

We are a group of 6 friends staying at the hotel in 2 large rooms for 3 days and I would like to express my displeasure in gentle words, my disgust with the hotel management. This morning we woke up to a sunny and pleasant day as usual. We asked the hotel attendant at the pool bar where we could sit at a separate table and eat and drink kosher food that we brought from Israel. The bartender, who seemed very nice, directed us to an internal patio far from the pool and the place really served us well. Not a few minutes passed and the pool workers started arriving one after another, demanding that they did not accept that we bring food and drinks from outside because there was a chance that they would receive a fine... Of course we understood the issue and ordered drinks (beers) from the bar to soften the atmosphere. A few minutes later, another employee arrived from the pool bar and asked to vacate the place. Even after this request, we realized that we might have deviated from the usual behavior. We were very angry, but without hesitation we cleared the place towards the rooms so as not to create an unpleasant situation. We went down to the beach for a few hours, on the way back to the rooms we wanted to have a beer at the bar, but the bartender's response completely stunned us and left us speechless - "We, the hotel staff, are not willing to provide you with service, please leave the place" and this is to indicate that we have two more days of hotel stay..... We left the bar for the rooms without saying a word. A hotel that respects itself does not behave in such a disrespectful manner towards a customer and moreover does not humiliate him in public. It should be noted that earlier this morning we asked the hotel manager to take a large table to the room for a proper Friday dinner and he agreed with a smile!!!! Anyone who does not respect his customers does not deserve customers!!!!!!!!

Stayed at end of sailing week. Basic rooms. Shame the pool and pool areais not looked after. No one cleans the pool yet staff are sitting around clearly bored ! Breakfast an extra $12 dreadful ! Paid $70 for one night. Shame can’t use the pool or sit on a clean sun lounger. Bar double the price as local cafes. I wouldn’t bother. Much better hotels elsewhere.

The rooms were very basic. Towels were stained and frayed and the air con didn’t work. Staff abrupt, breakfast very basic. We stayed due to proximity for sailing. The pool and pool bar were the best part of the hotel. There are better hotels that are close proximity to marina. We would not stay here again

Terrible Experience – Stay Away!

We stayed at Ianos Hotel and were truly disappointed. From the very beginning, there was no designated parking – we were simply told, “Park wherever you can find a spot.”

The reception was incredibly rude: the receptionist threw the key at me without giving any directions to the room, just said “You’ll find it across the street.” No information about the WiFi, no welcome details, nothing.

In the room, the towels were insufficient and dirty. On the second day, they came, took away our towels, and left us with only one. When I asked for more, they told me, “No one can bring them to you, you have to get them from the other building across the street.” I went there, and they said, “Let’s go together to your building so I can give them to you.” So apparently before they couldn’t come, but now suddenly they could!

And the best part? They found nothing and brought us again dirty towels and 2 bathrobes instead of the face towels we had asked for.

For €150 per night, this was terrible. Even though we booked it by mistake, unfortunately the experience proved we were right to expect something like this.

Warning! Stay away from this hotel.

It's really a shame. I don't like leaving bad reviews but I really felt conned at this place. Dirty (both room, bathroom and pool), damaged appliances (door, mosquito net, bed fittings), unpolite receptionist pushing us to check-out earlier than agreed in the booking.

The pool staff is considerate and generous. Good location.
