We really enjoyed our stay. Everyone was friendly, the food was good and every part of the hotel very clean. At night it was fun to hang out with Martin, the barkeeper. We had a fun and relaxing vacation and we´ll definitely be back.

It's a haven for local life but close to the beach and restaurants. Beautifully kept rooms, extremely clean and all of the staff were the best and made you feel welcome and like family. Always happy to help us.

Ionio Star is an exceptional place. Located not at the center but closed to it with proximity to the bakery, grocery shop and local bar, at the sea (you can swim if you are good swimmer). What we liked is first of all fact that owner and his Family can show you what Greek Hospitality means. If you want - you can feel as part of Greek family. Breakfast is varied and certainly worth more than its cheap...

It was clean-ish and i have not been charged extra for the air-conditioning. It was though somewhat surreal. Be prepared for an adventure. In the end only cash, no receipt...

Everything you expect from such a place. Food was actually way better than expected. Right on the beach (mind the steps if you have a room on the highest floors) and perfect for spending your days on the beach.

Artemis hotel is a somewhat tired 80's property with rooms that could use a renovation. Having said all the defaults, it is a family run property located literally on the superb beach of Malaria Gialos. People are so hospitable and eager to fulfill your every request that will blow your mind. Αξίζει τον κόπο απ' όλες τις απόψεις. Πισίνες πεντακάθαρες,το δωμάτιο έλαμπε και είναι πλήρως εξοπλισμένο ακόμα και αλάτι πιπέρι έχει. Ο καφές από το σνακ μπαρ αξιοπρεπέστατος. Γενικά είναι value for money. Φθάσαμε Αύγουστο 16:00 με την θερμοκρασία γύρω στους 40 βαθμούς και στο δωμάτιο είχαν ανοίξει τον κλιματισμό . Αυτό μόνο μας κέρδισε από την πρώτη στιγμή.

Great sea view and close to a big wide wild sandy beach!

Great beach and just up the road is a lady who sells homemade wine and great figs from a charming roadside stall. The Lybian sea is noticeably warmer that the Aegean sea on the north side of Crete.

This place is very peaceful and the staff is very kind! You have to try the breakfast with the local cheese pie, it’s delicious.

An incredible stay at Aspros Potamos! The cottages are amazingly beautiful with a strong taste of authenticity and rustic style. The surroundings are just amazing, luscious green, peacefulness and serenity just a couple of minutes away from amenities.

Cozy, central location but far enough away from the overly beaten path, authentic, good breakfast, super friendly employees, hide-away place.

Wow! It is a cave-inside-the-hill kind of a hotel that dates back hundreds of years, but renovated from the end of last century. Charmingly rustic throwback to the olden days. Magically restored rooms set into thick rockwork make for great cave like dwellings to relax in. Great little shaded terraces as well. Breakfast is delicious and ample, served by wonderful hosts. Accommodations do lack modern electricity, so bring a battery bank for devices, and maybe a small electric camping lantern; they have lights in the bathrooms...
