The Sunrise is a well-run complex of small blocks with a central reception/restaurant/bar, all set on a hillside with gorgeous views across the sea to the Turkish coast opposite. Stunning place. On arrival we thought ho no to many steps and big cases to carry, but the hotel show you to your rooms and bring your case up to you. Entertainment progamm and friendliness of the workers is very high. Food is on the upper edge. You can experiment a well part with different food. Even if some may taste not so well, some other might have spices more suited to your taste. You can do a lot of sports with all-inclusive, just be nice to the workers and no problem should occur. We spent seven nights Half Board in early August 2024. It is not really a hotel but more of a holiday village on a hillside overlooking the sea, with a clear view to Turkey on the other side of the water. Being on a hillside there are many stone steps along the pathways to get to the rooms (over 40 from the lobby to our room near the top) and down to the pools, so bear that in mind if you are restricted...

Negatives include below average accommodation (shower curtain rail not attached properly to ceiling, toilet seat sliding about, lack of power sockets, soap and shower gel not being replaced ) inconvenient shuttle bus timings ( this is important because the hotel is a fair bit out of town) cold eggs and bacon every day and struggle...

Recently stayed here for 4 nights and enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very nice and can be improved further by refirbishing the rooms. However, the staff let this hotel down. Except for the young man at reception who was attentive and helpful, most of the other staff were not friendly at all. We had a fantastic time staying at Viva Mare Hotel. The room was spacious with a fantastic sea view from the balcony. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the hotel itself was very pleasant with amazing views and four swimming pools available. Food was also great as there was a variety of options for breakfast and dinner, also fastest wifi I have ever had in a hotel. Highly recommended

We had 2 rooms and it was all satisfactory. Breakfast was good when it was the weekend but it was lacking during the week.

I can see why this hotel has so many repeat guests. Its setting with its own beach.....large pool...taverna and beautiful gardens is wonderful. Everything is spotless and the staff so friendly. You are a 7 euro taxi....which are plentiful...ride to Molyvos. Spoilt for choice there with seafront, harbourside and rooftop tavernas to eat in. Plenty of bars dotted in there too not to mention shops. Topped...

What a gem this hotel is, perfect location, wonderful staff and amazing facilities. There are so many fabulous areas to sit according to your needs, full sun, shade, cool spots etc. I loved going on the pebble beach to cool off in the breeze, perfect! The hotel grounds and pool are great with plenty of space and sunbeds. The beach is a pebble one and not very big but adequate. Beach shoes a must. The hotels Taverna is between the pool and beach and serves really good food and drink at reasonable prices. I think this is why they dont run a shuttle bus ..so guests stay on site. Its a 5 min taxi drive into Molivos and costs £7 euros. The breakfast...

The resort facilities are lovely but the staff, at best, were taciturn. We are pleasant, undemanding guests but barely got a hello from anyone on staff. We absolutely loved the location next to the ocean but the STENCH from the toilets permeated the entire room. They really need t deal with this as I’ve seen reviews elsewhere complaining about this absolute horror.
