Very hospitable and friendly owners, clean rooms, and good breakfasts. The pool is also clean and pleasant, with loungers and tables to sit and relax. Overall, very nice and homely. The only downside was the very weak internet, but maybe that was a good thing, because I didn’t spend time on my phone.

The hotel was clean and clearly recently refurbished, the bed was enormous and incredibly comfortable. You can see that it’s a work in progress, the en-suites had a new rain shower but all the original shower tray etc. I was in room 27, one of the sea view double rooms with a balcony, right at the front and the view was superb, looking out over the bay, you can see turkey off in the distance and on a clear night you can see millions of stars! The breakfast was basic on first glance but the staff in the hotel were so accommodating, I was offered, eggs, omelet’s, bacon, sausages etc. My visit was right at the start of the season so it wasn’t very busy, I think this is why the buffet was reduced to avoid waste. Petra itself is a quintessentially Greek village, it feels so far removed from the modern world that you can find real peace. This said, they cater fantastically for tourists, there is a great selection of restaurants run by locals so a visit here really does support the village economy! The hotel is a 5 minute amble from the main centre, walk a few minutes further and you’ll get to the beach. I will definitely be looking to book here again! Thankyou!!

The stay at this hotel was magical. The proximity to the center of Petra, beautiful sunsets and a beautifully situated room were all we needed! The rooms could be renovated - especially the bathroom, but this is not something that affects my rating. Breakfast freshly prepared every day, with a choice of two types of bread, cheese, ham, jams/Nutella, fruit and vegetables, eggs and/or scrambled eggs, several teas and coffee to choose from, water and orange juice as well. I do not agree with the previous opinions - this is a hotel that fully meets my expectations in terms of this price range and my requirements. It was definitely a unique stay and I would love to go back there again! :) Greetings to the owner and her Son and thank you for our stay once again!

I have walked past this hotel many times and always thought how pretty it looked. I finally got to stay here and I wasn’t disappointed. Upon arrival I was walmly greeted and shown great generosity. I had booked a sea view room and it didn’t disappoint, with a beautiful view of the bay and of course that sunset. Breakfast included was an added bonus, and every morning I was asked if I’d like anything special as the hotel was quiet as early season. Nothing was too much trouble. Other people have commented on the tired decor. This is Greece, it should be traditional. My bed was enormous and very comfortable. The shower now has a curtain and there was plenty of hot water but it took a few minutes to arrive. The pool is compact but clean and very peaceful. I looked around the hotel and almost every room with the exception of those few at the back has a sea view. The balconies are a little on the small side but adequate, I’ve had smaller. There also some spots that need a little TLC but nothing extreme. The location is fabulous just out of town but such wonderful views. Finally the price, it is extremely reasonable, and the place has a lovely feel. The staff must of changed because the 2 ladies working were both lovely. Only one spoke English but that was enough. I am Looking forward to returning. Well done and thankyou Michaela’s hotel.

Hotel is very pleasant and domestic atmosphere with beautiful seeview. We also had a nice experience with young receptionist, he was really kind and helpful, which is not so usuall nowadays. Hotel Michaela with its surroundig town Petra is really nice, Dušan Lichtenecker

The Hotel is one of the worst I have ever seen. It is Not clean at all: when we were returnig home by Ferryboat, my wife said " the ferry is cleaner than the hotel we stayed". It is neglected and needs maintence as well. Not enough staff and.... etc. I regret chosing that Hotel.

I traveled to the hotel at the end of June and so far this was our most terrible experience in Greece and we travel here for 20 years. The hotel on outside looks very nice on great location by the sea and that is all the great stuff that you will get here. We know it is cheap, but at least some basic needs, like cleanliness and kindness would be nice. The location: approx. 1,5h from the airport, by the sea and close to nice bars and shops. The beach: approx. 400m walking distance, pebble beach with some bars and free umbrellas if you drink something there. There were some waves and with that some seagrass and stuff in the water. Also it was quite cold for this time of year (aprox.22 degrees). The pool: very small, but enough to cool down. It doesn't have a kids pool, just 1m with lower water (no jacuzzi and waterfall). The water wasn't so clean, but I can't imagine what will be at the end of summer. The surroundings was wooden deck with some old, but comfy sun loungers, the shower with poor water, also one of the wooden deck break down on the floor. The room: very old dated, the beds were creaking, enough cupboards, quite fridge, but loud air conditioning (in daughters room remote control didn't work and the stuff with no English, didn't fix it), the bathroom very small, no curtains or anything for the shower, with broken and dirty sink. Also bedding and towels was full of old stains. The balcony was very small, not enough for 2 people to seat, our daughters have no balcony. The breakfast: very poor choices with bread, scrambled eggs, salami (we brought our own), cheese, tomatoes and some times feta, jam and butter, juice (if it runs out, than tomorrow), sometimes greek yogurt, but no honey. Don't drink water, since it is dirty. Also glasses, plates and cutlery were dirty all the time. Also the stuff could look a bit more neatly dressed with at least a few English words. They don't understand nothing and just talk Greek. So a hotel with a lot of potential, but unfortunately a lack of neatness. Some good handyman and a little bit of renovation and would be nice.

The good bits first. I had effective aircon, fridge, a comfortable bed and received clean line along with towels every two days. I experienced hot water most evenings except when it rained. However I did notice that the pressure reduced when more guests arrived. There are two main members of staff that you will see (only between 8am and 3 pm) and they do their best to help with queries. I found breakfast to be adequate for the type and size of the hotel which included, fruits yoghurts, jams, boiled eggs, fried eggs, bacon, toast, bread, cake, coffee, juice and water. The less good bits. The room was in the older part of the hotel, the original building by the side of the road. My door handle was a threaded bar, it seemed to be the inside mounting of a ceramic handle that will have been broken long before my arrival. The room furniture is dated and an attempt had been made to brighten it up by paining it white by hand. There was no sower curtain or wall mounting attachment for a rinse. The shower tray/Greek bath had a moulded basin to stand in and a seating area, it was bizarre and uncomfortable but got the job done. A standard shower tray is much safer and more comfortable to use. I did not notice anyone attending the bar during the day, this was probably because the small equilateral triangle pool isn't used very much and didn't really seem that inviting. Overall this wasn't good value for money and I wont stay there again. However if you are tempted to stay ask fir photos of the room that you have been allocated. If the owner can't/won't stump up for a new door handle it sets expectations really low that any investment has been made.

We had a sea view room and it was fine. The bed was big and comfy and there was plenty of storage space. And the sockets were in the right places (how often are they not!). There was enough hot water except on rainy or very cloudy days. The bathroom was OK. It worked. Not fashionable but it did the trick. We didn't use the breakfast facilities for reasons nothing to do with the hotel itself so I can't comment on that. Antione was really friendly and what we saw of the cleaning staff, so were they. The only let down was the pool. The photographs give the impression of a large pool. It isn't. If you wanted a pool for exercise rather than lolling about in, I think you'd be a bit disappointed but there are other pools that you can use. I would stay there again.
