Alkyon Mini-hotel

Thank you Anna, Vasilis, Alexandra, Chris, Harris, Pantelis and Elsa for making our stay at the Alkyon so enjoyable, The hotel exceeded our expectations and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our sea view room was spacious and comfortable as were the common air conditioned seating areas. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the town in a quiet location. We had no complaints - just the opposite.

We had such a fantastic stay here !! A great location and in the heart of everything. We went half board and the food quality was excellent. Massive thanks to the team at Alkyon, Anna, Alexandra, Pantelis, Harris, Vasilis and Chris for making this such a nice experience. Will definitely be back.

Great hotel with the best staff I’ve encountered in 30 years of working in and staying in hotels. Authentic, knowledgeable, polite, positive and super helpful. Special mentions to the whole Reception and Guest Service Team and to 3 of the waiting staff who looked after us throughout, namely Tasos, Kristos and Dimitri. Our stay was relaxing and comfortable, the place was always clean. Fantastic view over the marina from the breakfast terrace. Food was of a good standard. The only negative would be that the pool is a little small for the number of guests - often not possible to get a sun bed. However, Skiathos has many beach options, so not a big issue. Thank you Alkyon. We will be back !!

This hotel was perfect in every way, the staff especially Anna on reception who made our holiday extra special with knowledgeable suggestions to make the most of our holiday whilst experiencing the best places to visit in Skiathos. Dimitris looked after us at breakfast and throughout our evening meal, he was very kind professional and courteous, a credit to the hotel. The young man who took our cases to the coach terminal was very well mannered and helpful. We will return

The hotel is located in a great place, rooms are clean and tidy and the staff are fantastic!!! Breakfast is quality and if you are there on Halfboard basis the evening meal is really nice as well! Only negatives would be the pool and the amount of sun beds… there are not many sun beds and they get snatched up quickly. Also had a room with side sea view but had to hang head over balcony I order to see it!!! Hope you get to meet Elsa she is so lovely!!!!

Spent 3 nights at this beautiful hotel with my daughter and sister for a short girls break. The hotel is spotlessly clean and every single member of staff on reception, bar and at breakfast, went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. Probably the friendliest but at the same time most professional staff you could find at a hotel. The location is spot on, close enough to easily stroll into the town but nice and quiet away from it all. The airport is very close but the planes taking off and landing did not cause any noise problems. We only ate breakfast but it was an excellent choice every day and fantastic views looking out over the harbour. The pool area did get very busy at times with the usual sunbed problems but we were out and about most of the time so this did not affect us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and are already planning a trip back very soon!

Stayed one week. The hotel is in a good position by the harbour, close to restaurants and shops. A very comfortable hotel, staff all lovely and helpful. Chris always smiling helps with your luggage. Breakfast in lovely breakfast room with roof terrace with great views. Room size good plenty of space for clothing, free safe, kettle and fridge. No tea or coffee provided. Rooms cleaned everyday. Bathroom needs updating was our only criticism, we had a standard room at the rear , with a shower in the bath. Recommend to update to front room if available. Pool small but a lifeguard on duty. We were half board, you eat in the restaurant next door. Lovely restaurant, menu set 2 choices for starter and main. Adequate but not gourmet. Would recommend this hotel its clean, well run, good breakfast and all staff work hard together to keep you happy. We had one small issue and reception dealt with it promptly. Thankyou hotel Alkyon.

From arrival to departure we thoroughly enjoyed our 7 day stay at The Alkyon. The reception staff were courteous and helpful and all the staff treated us with Greek hospitality. Our Spacious room was cleaned daily and a great choice of breakfast with beautiful views from the rooftop restaurant was a perfect start to every day on this beautiful island. We used the excellent bus service nearby to visit lovely beaches and there was an abundance of restaurants and tavernas close by. Congratulations to everyone who gave us amazing food at the Carnyo restaurant - hope you can always preserve that beautiful tree! The pool area is unfortunately small and I think a bonus would be to utilise the garden area with some additional loungers or seating. Just a suggestion. We really hope we can visit the Alkyon again and give thanks and praise to all the staff for a lovely holiday.

A modern hotel in a perfect location in Skiathos town. The hotel and restaurant staff are friendly and welcoming while providing excellent service. The rooms were comfortable with air conditioning TV, fridge and tea making facilities. The breakfast offered a wide selection of quality food.

The Alkyon is a lovely hotel in a perfect location. The transfer from the airport is only 10 mins. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We booked a side sea view and were given a room on level 2 , unfortunately all we could see was a wall so we asked for a higher room. We were given a room on the 4th floor ( top floor) near the rear of the hotel as this was all they had but it was a better view. The room was very clean and spacious and the beds were super comfy. Unfortunately the bathroom was very dated and not 4 🌟 standard at all. You have to climb into the bath to have a shower and the shower hose is connected to the taps in the middle of the bath and the shower head is at the end so it's a bit awkward. I would be interested to know if there was a refurbishment was planned?I believe the sea view rooms have been refurbished but you pay a lot extra for these rooms. There is a kettle in the room but no tea & coffee so bring your own. The wardrobe is open design but lots of storage and hangers. The breakfast was plentiful and good quality . The dining room has spectacular views over the harbour. Other areas of the hotel were 4🌟 standard. However if you like a good pool area this hotel isn't for you as it is very cramped and very few sunbeds. Although bus stop 0 is only around the corner which takes you to many many beautiful beaches for only 2 or 3 euros. The town of Skiathos is beautiful with 100's of lovely Tavernas. I would stay at the Alkyon again if the bathrooms get refurbished.
