Panas Hotel

Beautiful short break at Panas. We had booked a standard room,which was perfect for our needs,spotless,clean towels daily. Friendly, attentive and helpful staff. Their restaurant, we enjoyed better than the two others,that are close by,service and quality of food . Cute,safe small beach,and not over crowded. We enjoyed a walk up to the village, bought provisions and sat with an iced coffee. We did hire taxis for a couple of trips, Argostoli then costal walk to Lassi,and a morning trip up to Kastro cafe and the castle, stunning. 4 nights ended to quickly,would love to go back to Beautiful Panas and Spartia. Panas Hotel is a true hidden gem for anyone seeking a peaceful, relaxing escape just steps from the beach. The whole property is beautifully maintained, exceptionally clean and spotless, with a calm, welcoming atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at ease.

The staff are outstanding, always friendly, professional and willing to go the extra mile to ensure everything runs smoothly. The on-site restaurant offers delicious food with a great variety.

I absolutely loved the view from our room, the beach was literally just a stone’s throw away! Α quiet sandy beach that is perfect for a swim or simply soaking in the peaceful sound of the waves.

My favorite spot was definitely the pool area, which always had plenty of sunbeds and plenty of shade, the perfect place to relax.

Just back from our stay at Panas Hotel and I felt compelled to write a review… Although I have to say I was in two minds as I’d like to keep this little gem to ourselves… haha. What an incredible experience from start to finish. Nana, her brother, and the team were amazing, so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The whole purpose of this trip for us was relaxation, Panas and the team ticked every box in this regard, simply wonderful. So much so we are hoping to return in a couple of months… Thanks to everyone who made our stay so special. The room was lovely, appeared to be newly renovated, and was cleaned daily to a wonderful standard. The pool area was immaculate with lovely sunbeds and plenty of shaded areas, also cleaned daily. The food in the restaurant was fantastic, a great selection, and very reasonably priced. Even the beach was so clean and tidy and not too crowded…

First of all I would like to say thank you to the Panas family for a lovely stay, this hotel may be rated has a three star hotel, but there is a difference you get more than four star service, reason is this greek family CARE, nothing is to much trouble for them to help you,this is a littel peace of heaven,the peace and quite great, there food is excellent,because Gerassimos oversees the food process with a carefull eye, Nana also lovely Lady and these two are great ambassadors, for there business,if there are any upsets sometimes its not in there power to sort ithings out. Rooms are cleaned ever day with clean towels, tea and coffee are kept stocked in the room, plus a room safe most helpfull,and a good hairdryer for the ladies, and lastly a big thank you to all the staff, George, Eva,Nicky,to name a few, thanks for your service, so full marks to, Gerassimos & Nana. hope to return.

Just back after a mini 4 night break to Kefalonia, which we have never previously visited. It was a last minute booking made 3 days prior to travel and was solely based on price and outstanding Tripadvisor reviews. After lots of scrolling we opted to take a ‘chance’ and book bed and breakfast with an independently owned 3* hotel. In summary, Panas Hotel met and far exceeded our expectations. From the moment the taxi pulled in front of the hotel to the moment we were waved off by the lovely owners we had a brilliant time. The hotel location is beautiful set in a very quiet cove at the bottom of a very steep hill. The sea and a small sandy beach are just 50 yards from the hotel offering the option to split your time between pool and sea. We booked an upgraded superior room which was lovely. Very contemporary with trendy black bathroom fixtures and no 80’s chintz in the bedroom. Everything you need was provided: tea/coffee facilities, fridge, safe, new large tv, new a/c and comfy bed. Towels were soft and the room was serviced every day. The hotel accommodated our request for a late check out and made no charge for this, we just asked on our arrival if it was a possibility and Nonna was delighted to accommodate us. Pool towels and beach umbrellas are available at no charge for the duration of your stay. The restaurant overlooks the sea and offers a selection of Greek home cooked dishes. The portions are generous, the quality is very good and prices very reasonable. We had lunch there most days and dinner twice. Breakfast is a typical continental style buffet, so don’t expect a classic cooked breakfast, rather cold meats and cheese, hard boiled eggs, small frankfurter sausages, pastries and cakes, selection of bread for toast, fruit salad, Greek yogurt and as much tea and coffee as you like. The pool area is very clean and has new sun beds and soft lounge chairs to select from. Shade is provided by two large pergolas and some attractive natural umbrellas. There is a toilet and shower block steps from the pool. There is another restaurant opposite that overlooks the sea so you can alternate, but the service at the hotel is far better with the hotels staff so friendly and accommodating you do feel a little guilty going anywhere else. Another lovely restaurant is available at the top of the steep hill and service there was better but not at the same level as the hotel. We really enjoyed the tranquility of the location and the warm welcome of the owners so would highly recommend if that is what you are looking for. As we were only staying for a few nights we got a taxi to and from the airport, just a 20 min drive, but would say a car is a must if you are planning to see more of the island. So happy to have another hidden gem for us to return to again in the future. Thank you to everyone at Panas Hotel you really helped make our holiday so lovely.

The space is modern, well-kept, and very clean. Our room was bright and comfortable, with a beautiful sea view that instantly helped us relax. The entire place is peaceful — perfect for anyone looking to truly unwind.

Cleanliness was impeccable, both in the rooms and all common areas. You can tell that everything is cared for with love and attention to detail.

I recently stayed at this hotel with my boyfriend and we had a wonderful time. The room was very clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful view. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!

I had a wonderful stay at Panas Hotel! The room was spotless and cleaned daily, which I really appreciated. The location is fantastic—just a short walk to a beautiful, quiet beach and surrounded by nature. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always with a smile. The whole place is very peaceful, ideal for a relaxing holiday. I highly recommend it and would definitely come back!

Overall this is a good hotel and we would recommend. There are certainly a few areas for improvement. We opted for breakfast rather than room only. Note there is only one other place to eat in the immediate vicinity. There is a coffee shop in Spartia but this is a walk/drlve away up a very steep hill! This coffee shop doesn’t sell food. One of the two Spartia supermarkets is situated next door so you may be able to get pastries?? I cannot confirm. Breakfast at the hotel itself is very basic. Self serve hot drinks machine, cost effective offering comprising simple fruit (tinned peaches and fruit salad), tomatoes, cucumber, cereal (possibly cornflakes), processed hams (did not look appetising in the slightest), breads, cakes etc. Whilst eggs were on offer, they are pre-cooked and left in a serving dish along with bacon and mini sausages. Not once were the eggs or cooked meats hot and tepid food is not the greatest start to the day. Why not offer customers the option to order fresh eggs? Surely this would mean less wastage? Food at the restaurant was of a decent standard. We ate both lunch and dinner here. However, on several occasions, my choice was not available. These were the staples such as Kefalonian pie, chicken pie and traditional lamb. Whilst I was able to choose an alternative, I was surprised that these Greek/Kefalonian classics were unavailable. Also as a restaurant offering traditional Greek cuisine, I was surprised not to see gyros on the menu?? Drinks were priced reasonably. Staff were great especially Nana and Emilia (and the other serving staff - sorry I did not get your names). Unfortunately I would actually say it is Gerasimos the owner who was not particularly warm and friendly. I did not expect to become best friends, but I felt the hospitality was lacking whenever I engaged with him. This is a family run hotel after all not a huge corporate. We were allocated a triple room which was a good size. Speaking to other guests, double rooms were quite small with inadequate storage. We had a simple hanging rail in one of the newly refurbished rooms. This was situated over the safe therefore longer items couldn’t hang properly. Not a huge problem, but potentially more thought could be have been given to this by the designers rather than just the aesthetics. Drainage in the shower was a problem. Unfortunately the incline of the floor and the drain itself were not up to the task. Water would end up in the toilet area of the bathroom. Whilst there was a drain in this area, this could not cope with the water from the shower resulting in a very wet and slippery bathroom floor. After every shower, I found myself having to dry the floor, wring out the bath mat, dry the floor, repeat, repeat. This did get somewhat tedious towards the end of the holiday however nothing much could be done to address this problem. What concerned me more is the risk that this poses to customers.
