Panas Hotel

Lovely quiet hotel in a fantastic location within a short distance to the beach. Our room was modern, always had hot water and beds comfortable, lovely views. We stayed room only and ate at the hotel. Food was great and would highly recommend eating there. (Best moussaka ever). Nana, George and Elias always pleasant and helpful as were all the staff.
We didn't have a car and were restricted to the hotel and the nearest supermarket was too far for us to walk to but for us this wasn't a problem.
If you are looking for a relaxing holiday then this is the place to go. Loved our holiday and hope to return soon.

We have stayed at Panas Hotel two years in a row now and will be back again next year. For us, it is the perfect place to stay! It’s small, quiet, super clean, comfortable stylish rooms with a/c and a balcony that has beautiful views of the sea. There is a pool that is never crowded and just in front of the hotel is a perfect little beach that is fantastic for swimming with its calm, shallow clear water. The hotel restaurant is excellent with local dishes made from fresh healthy ingredients and my favorite part is the staff, super helpful and friendly. Nana is amazing and makes sure your needs are met and exceeded. We rented a car as we explored many beaches and a couple wineries during our stay but you could easily just have a relaxing stay at the hotel as well. The beach, the restaurant in combination with a couple more in walking distance, and the pool would be all you would need.

Can't fault this hotel. The rooms are basically furnished but spotlessly clean. Only thing to watch is that the usual key fob controlled electricity supply means things like the fridge and charging ports won't work while you're out. Also tea and coffee making facilities don't include milk in your room, but if you ask at reception the staff will happily get them for you.
On the subject of the staff, they are excellent. Couldn't be more helpful.
Breakfast is excellent - have been in 4* hotels that weren't as good.
Excellent restaurant serves fairly typical Greek and some other food at reasonable prices. You can't put your meal on your room though for some reason so you need to take your wallet/card/phone. There are a couple of other places to eat nearby though having tried them my feeling was you may as well just eat at the hotel.
Very nice, well maintained pool and pool area. Fair amount of shade and a modern and very well looked after toilet/shower block next to the pool.
Only a few steps from the beach. It's not a big beach, and during the morning there isn't much shade (if any) but as the sun moves round in the afternoon this improves. The sandy stretch shelves very gently into the sea so good for kids. Don't be put off by the black stuff at the shoreline, that's just dead leaves that are actually quite pleasant to walk on.
Only caveat is that if you want to explore inland, you will have to either hire a car or be willing to take a bit of a hike as it's all uphill. That said it's worth trekking up to Spartia village at least once.
Overall, if you want to get away from it all, this is ideal. If you want to explore Kefalonia, possibly not the idea base but might work if you hire a car.

The best holiday hotel ever. So good we came back and will come back again and again.

First up let's talk beds. The most important things in a hotel and boy are these beds good. You really do get a great night's sleep.

Nana, her family and her team deliver faultless service, the pool is perfect and the restaurant meets all expectations.. The rooms are spotless and I believe they all use a sea view.

The beach, for those that want one is a whole minute away on foot. On this trip I spent some time snorkeling off the rocks to the right of the bay and found loggerhead turtles and a moray eel so I'd say it ticks the box for a snorkeling location too.

All in all, if you need any a quiet, peaceful and incredibly relaxing holiday, Panas Hotel is the place to go. Five star all th way.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and everything about my stay was perfect. The staff were brilliant and made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. The location is lovely, nestled in a scenic area, though be aware that there is a bit of a hill when you leave the hotel to go anywhere else. However, this is manageable and should not deter you from staying here.
The hotel features a nice pool, which, unfortunately, we didn’t utilise during our stay. The on-site restaurant is lovely, offering delicious meals, and there is also another nice restaurant close by if you fancy a change of scenery.
A special mention goes to Nanna, the hotel manager. She was the sweetest person and went out of her way to help us hire a car for our stay. Her kindness and efficiency were much appreciated. All the staff appeared genuinely friendly and happy at work, which made a big difference to our experience.
We were fortunate to have a room with a sea view, which added an extra touch of charm to our stay. I highly recommend this hotel for its exceptional service, lovely location, and warm, welcoming atmosphere.

My husband and I had a wonderful week here recently. Everything was just perfect. The rooms were spotless, room service every day. The room was so comfortable, wonderful pillows! Great shower. Fridge, coffee making facilities etc. Lovely balcony looking over the sea.
The restaurant is great, no need to eat anywhere else! Lovely local Greek dishes, lots of choice, breakfast a lovely buffet. George looked after us every day in the restaurant...he was wonderful, so helpful, he couldn't do enough for us.
The swimming pool is great, with a lovely view of the sea. So peaceful. No sunbeds being booked before breakfast...always space, mainly because most guests have cars and go off for the day. For us it was a perfect retreat!
The family who run Panas have made it the wonderful place it is today. Nana and her brother, their father, their staff...nothing is too much trouble. Your holiday is their priority. We plan to return!

Oh my! Panas Hotel is a gorgeous treat, large simple uncluttered stylish functional rooms, a gorgeous bar and restaurant patio, a fresh pool and stunning gardens. The owners and staff are lovely and couldn't do more for you, rooms are cleaned very well. All situated a carpark away from a pristine quiet bay with a small sandy beach with the most amazing view of the Ridgeline of mount Ainos.

Amazing cosy hotel by the beach, we stayed for 7 nights.
Highly recommend the cocktails while enjoying the sound of the waves, pure relax.
Also, the staff is lovely, caring, and attentive, the receptionist approached us regarding our departure, and as we had our flight late night the following day he checked and allowed us to check out in the evening as the room was free for that day. So caring and helpful. We are truly grateful, and we highly recommend 👌

If you are considering to book this place - Do it now! It was our first trip to Greece and I can recommend Kefalonia and this hotel! If you are looking for a nice calm beach and not too many tourists, this place is ideal. I would recommend having a car if you want to go places, otherwise you can book a taxi through the hotel for €25 to take you to Argostoli. There are 3 restaurants at the location, but between you and me... The restaurant at the hotel will be just fine. Buy some snacks in Argostoli and store them in your rooms mini fridge if you have no means to travel around the island and or can't be bothered to go shopping cause it's your holiday. You can buy 1l bottled water for €1 a bottle from the hotel bar. I'd also recommend for you to take a beach tent or umbrella to guard you from the sun on the beach as there is no shade until 4pm. Snorkeling here is amazing, saw a fireworm and lots of fish. There is a small fishing boat that parks nearby so be sure to check the dock for lots of big fish that come to feast on the fishing boats leftovers it throws overboard!

The staff were amazing and super helpful, I was sad to leave at the end of our vacation because we were so well taken care of. We stayed for 10 days.

Seven days in paradise. Absolutely great. Extra beautiful and clean room, wonderful bed. Lovely food and drinks of best quality, you cannot find good quality of food and drinks in all restaurants!!! Astonishing view.. The photos cannot show the beauty of the hotel and the virgin nature around...Picturesque place 50m from a lovely beach. Great staff, really helpful. We defenetely come back for more days!!!! We are already thinking to organize our wedding ceremony there!!!
