Mouikis Hotel Kefalonia

We stayed here for 2 weeks and really loved it. The hotel is super clean, comfy, and in a perfect spot close to the sea front and shops. The sea view from our balcony was beautiful, and breakfast had plenty of choice every day.

What really made the stay special though was the staff – everyone was so friendly and helpful, nothing was ever too much trouble. They really created such a welcoming atmosphere and made the whole trip feel easy and relaxing.

We’d happily come back and definitely recommend it!

I booked 2x rooms for our party of 4, staying in Argostoli for just one night ahead of our flight home the following day.

We had a room with a sea view, which we got, but the balcony was ridiculously tiny, no more than 25 centimetres deep, with a single stool and fold down table that was big enough for just one tea cup! Clearly we couldn’t spend any time on the balcony to enjoy the sea view.

Our friends however were given a much bigger room with a huge balcony.

The rooms were clean, and the breakfast buffet was ok.

Overall it was quite expensive for the size of room and (lack of) balcony, but it served a purpose for us to crash our heads for a night and convenient for a 15minute drive to the airport.

I've stayed here 3 times now and it's always friendly and welcoming. The breakfast buffet is really good. The rooms are very clean and would recommend booking a triple even if there's only two of you, the extra room is so nice. Location is spot on for restaurants and shopping. Highly recommend 😃

Ok hotel. Near to the seafront. No major road noise. Hotel not quite as modern as some photos suggest. Mostly refurbished.
Rooms ok for a short stay. Maybe a bit small for longer, not enough room to have 2 cases open. Good sized terrace, full sum in the day.
Breakfast ok, nothing special.
Small rooftop bar with spa pool, very little shade.
Tiny but reasonably equipped gym, fine for one person at a time.
Had a problem with ants one day, not good but maid cleaned everything quickly and thoroughly.

Pros: Great location, free parking on the street, comfortable beds, advanced gym (one machine and only dumbbell so you better know what you’re doing), balcony for laundry, decent breakfast included, rooftop bar / restaurant, and friendly staff.

Cons: Limited paid parking, free parking in the street, and smoking in rooms.

Wonderful Hotel, Owners & Staff friendly and accommodating. This hotel has a great location in the middle of the capital of the island close to all. The American style buffet Breakfast was lovely. Clean and well kept. Can't say enough, the own a restaurant as well call Terras - lovely setting great food -

We recently found ourselves staying here unexpectedly for a week after we had to disembark our cruise for my son to receive hospital treatment on Kefalonia. This is a fantastic hotel. The staff were wonderful with us and let us extend our stay day by day due to our circumstances. Rooms were absolutely spotless and had a well stocked fridge along with pegs and a washing line on the balcony which really helped us as we needed to wash and dry our clothes with being away longer than expected. The breakfast was freshly cooked and tasty each morning. When our son was finally discharged from hospital, the hotel kindly arranged for a cot to be added to our room at no extra charge. The location is fantastic, right on the sea front and near all the shops and amenities. This is honestly such a lovely little hotel and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again when in Kefalonia. Thank you to the wonderful staff for looking after us during a stressful week.

Great hotel. Beautiful rooms. Private balconies. Nice views. Helpful reception staff. There is a free jacuzzi and terrace on the top floor. Great breakfast selection. Close to shops and restaurant. Easy parking.

We didn’t even stay at this place - it was sold out - but, we were in a difficult situation and needed to find a place to stay. Thanasis and her colleague at the front desk are the NICEST most helpful people we’ve met in Greece. Just for the exceptional service we received, not even being guests of the hotel, I would highly recommend this place. The lobby is lovely, and the breakfast looks wonderful!
