A bit worn-down and old, but right across the street from the Harkány Thermal Spa.

It's not even the cheapest accommodation and they still manage to ask for 1500 ft per day for air conditioning when it's 30 degrees in the room.
Otherwise, the breakfast is plentiful and the cleaning is as it is.

Nice clean rooms, nice staff. Dinner and breakfast are plentiful. 43 of us stayed, everyone was satisfied😊

Bad insulation, other guests can be heard. Clean, spacious. Dinner terrible, breakfast ok. Given the price, it did not meet expectations.

Barátságos volt a személyzet, segítőkész és számunkra kielégítő szakmai tudással. Finom megfelelő mennyiségű reggeli és vacsora.

This time we are not so much satisfied with the stay in this hotel. Hotel have a good location in front of the pool. Parking is for free in the area, so this is good. But unfortunatelly there was some works outside - people cut the trees, so they start very early in the morning, around 7 oclock so it was very uncomfortable for us because workers working just in front of our window. Waiters in the restaurant can not speak english and usually they prioritize a group of german ladies, co we should wait a long time to be served. Food was also not so much good, breakfast was all the time the same and dinners are not so much tasty. We stay here at christmas time and in this time we enjoy the stay much more.

A beautifully and elegantly renovated Bauhaus-style building, which was originally built for this function in the 1930s. In the lobby next to the reception, there is even period-restored furniture. Behind the building, there was originally a well-kept garden with a row of plane trees, which unfortunately had to be truncated due to the motorization of recent decades due to the creation of a gravel parking lot. The sycamores were cut back like this a few years ago. They couldn't make a real underground garage. By the way, the bus station is a few minutes away, the train service to Pécs ceased 60 years ago. The spa is practically opposite, a 30-second walk at a comfortable pace. The staff is kind and direct, helpful. In the second half of July, right in the middle of the high season, we suddenly decided to go there, and they even booked a room on the phone, although we had to move to another room for one night. But here, the important thing is the bath, the dear guest is not here during the day, but is soaking in front of you. The accommodation has a buffet breakfast, which is plentiful and delicious. It is not worth eating a lot because it is not good to go into the water with a full stomach. There is a Spar store behind the bus station. At the same time, there may have been those who gorged themselves at the buffet table to have something to munch on during the day in the bath. So they displayed a sign in four languages (German, Czech, Croatian and Hungarian) on the buffet table, that such a turn costs HUF 3.
The rooms have air conditioning, no mosquito nets, a small fridge (not a minibar) and a flat-screen TV. It is interesting that out of about 20 TV channels, 19 are in German and one is Hungarian (M2). There is wifi. Most of the guests are foreigners, and there are remarkably many Czechs. Average age 60+ No children's noise. There is also a friendly cat who is used to people and giggles for tasty snacks.
Unfortunately, a negative. Due to a design error in the shower tray, the bathroom of the superior double room (the most expensive and beautifully renovated) is soaked and splashes in the water, which is not only unpleasant but also dangerous. For example, the carpet in the room gets soaked at the threshold just below the outlet. We talked, they said they know about it.
The hotel is pet-friendly, of course it is not worth coming with a dog because where to put it while we are soaking wet all day. He still can't come to take a bath.
It is worth mentioning that the building is listed as a listed building and cannot be converted structurally, so the rooms are uneven in size and not all of them have balconies. The hotel has a three-story elevator. The toilet in the lobby shines and is very nicely tiled.
The same day's dinner (choose from three courses) must be requested separately at the time of breakfast, no later than what is written on the room bill. Since the dinner time is fixed (from six to eight in the evening), we practically had to drag ourselves back from the spa, so we preferred to eat outside, which is abundantly possible within walking distance on the other side of the spa. I recommend the Hellász restaurant (this is the place of the advertisement), we really liked it.

We spent 5 nights in the hotel, in a family double room on the second floor. We were satisfied with everything. The room is clean, well-furnished, with a double terrace, a window with a mosquito net, a sun lounger, table and chairs on the terrace.
The breakfast is a generous buffet, everyone could find the breakfast they liked. We had dinner here 3 times, you can choose from 3 menus, our 2 boys and us parents really liked the soups and main dishes, maybe we only said that the Brasov steak was too salty for us (but the beer would have gone well with it). The staff is willing, kind and direct.
All in all, our stay was definitely pleasant and the location is unbeatable (walking across the road, we are right at the entrance to the spa). We will definitely be back. 😊
