Hotel La Margherita & SPA

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and, to be honest, the experience was terrible. I arrived with a reservation for 5 people, including a baby, and when I requested a crib for my son, they refused to provide one. When I got to the room, I saw there were some blankets and a duvet, so I made a little bed on the floor for him. That worked fine until the next day when housekeeping took the blankets away and didn’t return them, for no reason at all.

Then I went to take a shower and the bathroom flooded. I made a complaint, and luckily they moved us to another room — but unfortunately, it was even worse than the first one.

The service was extremely poor for a 3-star hotel. I asked for some hot water to prepare a bottle for my baby, and they told me they didn’t have any. Meanwhile, there are coffee machines with hot water on the breakfast floor…

Thank God I only stayed for 5 nights, but I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. When we allowed housekeeping to clean the room, they didn’t even bother to change the towels. I had to sleep on dirty sheets because they didn’t change them, and they didn’t even vacuum the sand from the floor.

A horrible, disappointing experience — but unfortunately, it’s what happened to me.

The room smelt very very bad and I think it’s because the hotel allows pets. The bathroom smelt VERY strongly of cat/dog pee. It was disgusting. Breakfast was average - the coffee was terrible. Parking cost €10 and is very tight. The hotel has a club or something next to it - we stayed over the weekend and it was very loud til after 12pm.
