Arbatax Park Resort - Ville del Parco

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and dissatisfaction with the quality of service and accommodations during my stay at Arbatax Park from July 10th to 17th. I had high expectations for a memorable family vacation, but unfortunately, my experience fell far short of what was promised and expected from a supposedly 4-star establishment.

To begin with, I paid a significant amount of money to secure two interconnected rooms for my family of four. However, upon arrival, it became apparent that the reality of the resort differed greatly from what was portrayed on your website. The misleading nature of the website was a significant factor in my decision to choose Arbatax Park, as it presented an entirely different image of what awaited us.

Upon entering our rooms, we were immediately met with disappointment. The noise emitted by the air conditioning unit, positioned a mere meter away from the bed, was incredibly disruptive, making it difficult for us to sleep throughout our entire stay. The lack of a thermostat to control the temperature only added to our discomfort.

Furthermore, basic amenities were lacking, such as glasses, a telephone guide, instructions for the TV, and Wi-Fi connectivity in the rooms. This further hindered our ability to fully enjoy our stay.

Additionally, the housekeeping service failed to replenish the soap throughout our stay, despite our requests. It was only after three days of reminding the staff that I had to personally visit the reception to procure soap for our room. Such negligence and lack of attention to detail are not expected from a reputable establishment.

The overall condition of Arbatax Park was disheartening. It was evident that the resort is in dire need of renovations and improvements, both physically and in terms of management mindset. The communication barrier was another significant issue, as more than half of your employees struggled to communicate effectively in English. Many staff members displayed a remarkable level of ignorance, with only a handful being genuinely helpful and accommodating.

Furthermore, we experienced several inconveniences during our stay, including a power outage and water shortage. The key provided to access our room was also problematic, causing frequent struggles to unlock the door.

To make matters worse, we were not permitted to use the closest pool to the sea, despite the substantial amount of money we paid. The lack of clear signage or information regarding pool access was embarrassing and left us feeling humiliated. The overall lack of politeness and professionalism displayed by your staff suggests that proper training alone may not be sufficient to address these issues.

The breakfast provided each morning was consistently of low quality, and the tables and chairs in the dining area were noticeably unclean. Furthermore, the general upkeep of the common areas left much to be desired, with safety hazards present throughout the resort.

I must stress that I am sharing my experience to express my profound disappointment with the quality of service and accommodation provided, as it significantly impacted the enjoyment of my summer holiday.

I do not recommend Arbatax Park at its current price level.

- reservation made online, we managed to catch a good offer - cancelled by the hotel staff due to the fact that “ The price of your reservation was wrong due to a system bug and for this reason the system cancelled automatically your reservation.”

Will not go again.

Old and uncomfortable structure there are architectural barriers the movements are terrible with strollers, the room located in an old structure, the TV did not work, the sink faucet was dangling, the air conditioner very noisy, the balconies never cleaned. The catering was from the canteen of the poor to a buffet without respecting the ancient rules, the food was poor.
Beautiful nature park and swimming pools, friendly staff. No beach service, small and always busy beaches.

Upon our arrival at the reception at 10 am they made us wait 40 minutes to escort us to the Telis reception (although we saw many free luggage). Once arrived, we wait until late afternoon for the room (room 8F of the Villas of the Park), which we discovered to be very difficult to reach, with many steps and once entered a real "dump" (term used later by one of the employees themselves, when he came to see the room). I attach photos that testify the conditions of the room. A tiny room, you couldn't get around and WITHOUT A / C and yellow stained sheets. The one I had booked was a 4-star room, totally different from the assigned room which maybe comes to 2 stars if we want to be good. I immediately phoned the reception but it said that being 6 pm on mid-August, the only manager who could take care of it was nowhere to be found. I insist several times, I ask to pass me the manager by phone and they change version, saying that they have no rooms (denying what was said before): they tell me that they could have given us a higher level room in the evening, but they preferred to wait until the last one to see if they sold it to someone else, as it was mid-August. At 10 pm they give us, only after my request, an old and rusty fan. Result: sleepless night from the heat. They promise me that the next morning at 11 they will give us another room, but they make us wait for 15, effectively ruining the first two days of vacation. Once we arrived in the new room, the people in the next room nevertheless confirmed that ours was already clean and ready in the morning. So why did they keep us waiting? In all of this, the staff deny knowing that room 8F is unsuitable for hosting people, but continue to assign it to new customers, which shows their bad faith. For the rest, it seems to be in a jungle: you have to walk a lot to reach the main services, the beaches are very crowded, although at the reception we were told that the lifeguard checked that people were not illegally occupying their towels; this is not true and the seats are already all occupied from the first morning, even if people arrive at 11. At the buffet the total degeneration, endless lines to get food and zero attention to hygiene (meat and ham full of wasps, what would it cost put a cap to keep the products?) But they prefer to leave them in the open air, putting "do-it-yourself" coils with coffee and alcohol that is set on fire, placed directly next to the food, smoking everything. Icing on the cake: we book a boat excursion, on our return the engine stops and we remain in the middle of the very rough sea, they come to recover us after a long time. All this without life jackets and without a second engine which in these situations (since they are frequent) should be a must. In short, for me it was not a relaxing holiday but a stress from start to finish, I would not recommend it to anyone, even if I have an advice for the manager: since he undertakes to respond with copy and paste to every review negative, it could use the same energy to improve the service that has received the same criticisms for years (the reviews always talk about the same problems), and which, evidently, have never been addressed in the slightest with a view to resolution. Having said that, in our experience it is a place to avoid, there are certainly more serious hotels to turn to.
