Reviews
I stayed at Arbatax Resort in Sardinia with my family at the end of August, and it was the worst holiday experience I’ve ever had. After returning home, I noticed that the resort had taken an additional payment from my account without any explanation or authorization. Despite reaching out to them multiple times, they refused to refund the money or even provide a proper response.
The service during our stay was already subpar, but this was the final straw. It’s unacceptable for a resort to treat its guests this way, especially after they’ve left! Their customer service is the worst I’ve ever experienced – they simply don’t care once they have your money.
I strongly advise against booking this resort. They ruined what should have been a relaxing family vacation and continued to cause stress even after we got home. Avoid Arbatax Resort at all costs!
+'s: beautiful location, great nature, great views, beautiful beaches, friendly personnel, good quality shower gels, flawless housekeeping service, good quality towels, good water pressure, lovely live music duo at the pool bar, breakfast is good.
-'s rooms are physically in bad shape and very old. AC smells moisture and makes annoying amount of noise, makes sleeping very unpleasant. even if AC is turned off, it makes an annoying ticking noise. power outlets are not in the vicinity of beds, you have to put your devices away. bathroom drains are clogged. in the campus, access is always very difficult, nothing is easy to access, routes are always uphill, you're always dependent to the shuttle buses. leaf blowers ruins the silence of the property.
GSM reception is very poor and wifi is also not reliable.
Check in time is 4 pm, which is practically in the evening.
Admin forces you not to use your car, they claim to be "Eco" while running diesel shuttles. They use EU funded electric cars only for the staff.
The dinner buffet is very poor.
We want to extend our special thanks to the manager Barbara, it’s our second time here and she is truly client and solution oriented🫶
Our only recommendation would be regarding food, more attention to quality of the ingredients, diversity and level of the dishes.
Also, although we visited Arbatax in a peek crowded period, the staff was very nice.
Thank You!
Rooms are not at level of 4 star, they are quite old and no/low network connection inside.
Same for meal, products are good, nevertheless it is not at the level expected for 4* structure.
Then music of kids dancing show is often too high, not good for kids close to the speakers during dancing and show.
We took a ferry and drove 3 hours to Arbatax very excited to arrive at the resort to find right when we arrived that it didn’t look very well maintained. We parked our car and they drove us to reception (not easy to access unless you have a driver) in the reception they barely spoke English but we’re very nice at first.
After our check in and paying over 1000€ plus a 20€ deposit for 2 beach towels they drove us to the room - room was ok NOT 4 start hotel though.
Going for food was so confusing we didn’t have “access” to most restaurants and we basically ate at the buffet every day which was average food, cold and not enough.
The beaches were beautiful but they don’t have enough umbrellas for that many people staying there, if you don’t eat at a restaurant during lunch time you are screwed the bars at the beach ran out of food everyday and they don’t tell you until you’ve been waiting for almost an hour, very expensive too! On our second day we tried going to another beach in the park and it was so far away no where to get a bottle of water and we had to return to the main beaches - we felt like prisoners in the resort getting around was so hard!
The worst for me was the bed!!! I am 7 months pregnant and this was holiday trip to relax before baby comes and there was no relaxing here, the bed was so old I could feel the springs on my ribs was terrible! We asked reception to change our bed for 3 days in a row and when they finally did they just put an extra thin mat over it, it was very bad so we decided to leave 3 days early to a different hotel.
They tried offering us a different room but we were really over it by then, they ignored us for 3 days and were not helpful at all, no good service, not good food and very expensive.
It’s a shame the place has potential to be amazing but it’s managed very poorly.
Beautiful place, comfortable room with an amazing view.
The ac in our room was noisy, and was quickly replaced.
The food at the included dinner (halfboard) is just good, but the restaurants where we get lunch offer amazing stuff, specially some rich salads and delicious pizzas, for reasonable prices.
Beaches and pools for all tastes.
Hard to get to the resort, but an amazing experience that we highly recommend.
Many families with kids and babies but no pool with water games.
We had the all-inclusive package: access to 2 restaurants with average buffet with barely any desert (fruits and chocolate cake).
The positive: the pasta at the buffet is still very good. The hotel has access to nice private small beaches and is 15-20 min away from public beaches that are really pretty. The walk for a nice panoramic view and the farm
