Great hotel, friendly staff, ok breakfast. The room we had was absolutely great, bed was nice, very spacious, nice and cool with the a/c! The location is ok, but almost feel like you're gonna need a car to get around.

We absolutely loved out stay at Castello di Leonina. The views are spectacular, the staff are incredibly welcoming and accommodating. They couldn't have done more for us. Juicy, was especially lovely. She really did make our stay feel extra special. We would highly recommend this resort to anyone.

Very good hotel in a great rural location. Stayed for one night in June. Dinner and buffet breakfast both first class. Comfortable, good sized room. The castle and village looked like a painting on top of a hill. The rooms were well appointed, had bars on my windows as my room was on the outer wall of the village. I love this place. Family owned and the service is great. Lovely breakfast. We stayed in the superior rooms and although the rooms are unique, they are spacious. The owners put a cooler in both rooms as it was hot.

Wife and I honeymooned in Italy for 10 nights. Our only regret was staying here only 3 of them. The highlight and most memorable part of our trip. We loved the peaceful surroundings, views and food. great location to get around Tuscany. 10 minutes from Montepulciano, 45 minutes from the airport, and Torrita itself is really pleasant to walk around. The owner is the friendliest man, super helpful (despite us not being able to speak Italian!). Rooms were comfortable and had everything you needed and great value for money for where you are.

It provides a very unique medieval experience. The staff is attentive. The family's idea of ​​renovating this village and building hotels is quite interesting, it's well worth seeing, but after a day or two, there's not much to do.

We stayed in one of the many satellite structures ... very spacious rooms but absolutely invaded by mosquitoes and no air conditioning. It is advisable to at least put mosquito nets on the windows so as to open the windows in the evening and not to spend the night hunting mosquitoes

We loved our stay at hotel dei Capitani, would highly recommend. Montalcino is famous for truffles, wild boar, wine, and beautiful views, especially from this hotel. It is on top of a mountain and in the country so you can expect to see bugs in your room like spiders, mosquitos, stink bugs, but they are mostly all harmless and more of a nuisance than anything. The room is in third floor without elevator and it is difficult for any seniors with a luggage. The room was cluttered with too many old things. Very small shower stall but it functions well. Heating works well. Very efficient and kind communications. Nice old kitchen in the second floor but we didn’t use it.

I stayed after a day of driving from Florence. Arriving in front of the hotel with a car can be difficult. There’s really only one way into that street. Excellent location. Great food and view from room. Nice room but ok bed/pillows. Overall it was a very good stay in an old historical building in Montalcino with very good value. I would recommend staying here.

Decent rooms. In middle of old town. Menu limited in restaurant, but quality food.

The food, atmosphere and service was phenomenal. Mario was a wonderful host and Anna prepared the delicious meal. Mario has the most extensive wine menu in the town, unbelievable actually! The food was over the top - excellent. This was not only a great meal, the experience was a memory we will never forget.

Great quiet location with a lovely team. Very nice to use as a base for further excursions around Montalcino.

The hotel is easy to get to , has a private parking lot. Being able to park and not drive in the narrow streets was a blessing. The hotel is located at the edge of town and only a short walk to everything Montalcino has to offer. The staff was excellent and helpful. We will definitely try to stay again!

We had a fabulous 4 day honeymoon stay at this hotel. The location is so convenient in the town. The room is large and views unbeatable. Lovely breakfast. The pool area is quiet, relaxing, and the view is outstanding. Parking included. The staff were incredible- thank you so much for the extra touches, we will remember our stay forever ❤️

Perfect location and wonderful staff!

We stayed one night at this small hotel at the entrance to the old city. The staff were lovely. Helpful, friendly, and so accommodating. Our room was basic but well appointed and the amenities indicated that thought and care had gone into them. Breakfast was basic but good, and the espresso made to order was very good. I would recommend this place for a one or two nights stay without hesitation.

The Property was beautiful & very close to the main part of town & the Hosts were welcoming & helpful!!!
