It's rather a 2 star hotel in my opinion. I've been in a 3 star hotel in Marsala and rooms were finished in a much better standard. Rooms are cleaned every day. Breakfasts are poor, there is not much choice to eat (especially if you're not from Italy and you're not used to sweet meals for breakfast). The foods are very traditional, rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. There's a nice swimmingpool and the location is very nature friendly. There might be hard to find someone who speaks english, but all in all the place is cool.

Great experience ! We arrived late and were welcomed and advised by the staff for our excursion to Mount Etna the day after. The bedroom was very nice ! The bathroom too…. The real fast absolutely huge (served directly in our room!) all the staff is nice! In the morning, we were offered a magnet as a souvenir of our stay there ♥️♥️♥️♥️

Booked this and should have checked how far out this was, in a small town a long way from Catania. Nasty junction to turn into the gates at night if it's your first visit. Apartment composed of 2 bedrooms with 2 double beds and 1 kitchenette (oven, hotplates, fridge and sink). Comfortable no more. Approximate finishes but nothing disturbing (paintings on the walls and ceilings that are falling apart). In 4 nights no cleaning and no towels changed. Pleasant swimming pool (cap required).

Hotel is out of the centre, meaning its quiet and no car fumes. Its not far from via etnea, which takes you to the centre.we walked. The staff is awesome and helpful, even though i barely speak italian. The service is great, everything is clean by the time we get back to our room. Acceptable internet connection, comfortable rooms.

Pleasantly surprised by the hotel. The room was very big (albeit a bit outdated), ACs worked well, large balcony, water dispenser in reception to fill bottles, very large selection of food during the breakfast. What’s more, the hotel gave me gluten free goodies during the breakfast which were sealed to reduce risk of contamination. Staff were nice and even gave my son a colouring book.

The property is conveniently located, easy walking distance to areas of interest. Its about a 30 min walk to the train station. Room is clean and light, staff are really helpful.

Worst breakfast choices ever but great and clean room. Clean lounge to chill and relax in complete with a few charging power bars. The paintings on the walls have real human nudity so perhaps it isn’t the best choice for kids. You can ask the hotel to take down the nudes before you arrive if needed. Really lovely staff. Excellent breakfast. Good bathroom. Valet parking . Good location. We didn’t particularly like Catania itself, but if you come here then this is a really nice hotel to stay at. The rooms are standard hotel rooms but spacious bathroom with an excellent bathtub.

The hotel itself was nice, but the breakfast is a disaster. No hot meals, only pastries and the selection of drinks was very poor. Lux loung bar no bueno. Cleaning was good, klima was good.

Really nice hotel, not the most fashionable, but clean and quite. The owner Max is quite deliberated to meet all Covid-19 requirements for customer protection. Great location close to the city center. Pool and parking is charged extra, but negotiable.

Quite clean, nice rooms and perfect location, however there is no noise isolation which ca be quite bad during the night. I personally have a light sleep and woke up multiple times during the night, but still recommend if this is not an issue for you.

It's ok for the price. It's on the top floor in a building, so not the whole building is hotel, just one floor. It has no restaurant, you need to go the nearby building for breakfast. The location is good.

The hotel was very nice, close to the city center. It was located near Via Etnea and it was in handy to visit all the major sights nearby. The room was clean, the wifi was good and our room had a great view on via Etnea. We loved the old building and the elevator and the high ceiling room. It was a modern hotel in an old and beautiful building.

Lovely little hotel with a refined and artistic 1900’s interior. We had the standard double room that had an amazing ceiling with wonderful sculpting. Other lovely details were the antique oak/maple furniture and beautiful double drapes. Staff was absolutely friendly and helpful. We did have a feeling that they were a bit understaffed during breakfast hours though. But this didn’t spoil it at all.

Hands down the best experience you can have in Catania. From the interior design of the rooms to the pleasant staff and the overall feel of the hotel, everything was top notch. Highly recommend!

The Liberty Hotel is an excelent charming Hotel close to the center of Catania. The staff is extraordinary nice and helpful. We always got a very good breakfast and we even could book a tour to Etna in the Hotel. We also got provided with a lot of information about the sights and restaurants in the city.

It was a basic room with a bed that moved with every movement of my partner. The public toilet was in bad shape, no seat and flush mechanism was hard to interpret. The chairs and sofa in the common area were broken down. The only good thing was the location which was near the city center of Catania.

The location is superb. Accessibility is excellent, no matter where you go. Facilities are mediocre. For those who go out in the morning and come back late at night, it is excellent in terms of cost performance.

The room was old but that also had a lot of charm. If you like this, it is highly recommended, nice authentic old Italian impression. The facilities were good but the breakfast was meager. I would only grab it if it only costs a few euros, otherwise you better eat something in the morning. The location is good and also close to a metro.

Very old and dilapidated building. Not at all like the photos. we had arrived at night and it was spooky. The elevator was outside the building and there was a garbage bag in front of it. Just landed in Sicily, I had a bit of medical condition. The staff were super helpful to arrange the doctor, translate and help me get my meds. The experience made me truly feel welcomed and I gotta have such a wonderful start to the trip thanks to their kindness and hospitality.

A beautifully renovated hotel in the old style perfectly located in the central old town of Catania. Star all spoke English beautifully the room was a upstairs downstairs loft very comfortable with a magnificent ensuite. We were only here for one night, but we thought this hotel was great. Beautiful inside, amazing breakfast spread, good location. The rooftop restaurant was a great restaurant option. The only negative piece of feedback would be the size of the room we stayed in. The bathroom was nice and big, but the bed was pretty much the only thing that fit in the rest of the room. I had a great stay there. The staffs were friendly and helpful. My flight was cancelled that I went back to the hotel. I checked out already as my flight was supposed to be very early. They still let me go back to my room to stay until the usual check out hours even though the cleaning ladies had already started the cleaning.

Clean and neat. Friendly and helpful staff. Spacious rooms. No view from our balcony. But in the center and close to everything. The breakfast included was delicious and next to the hotel. Shower was a little rusty but that’s it (there was buildup from calculus on it preventing the equal distribution of water) In summary, great place for your Catania stay and experience.

However, my room was room 103, and the bedroom was close to the street, so I couldn't sleep because of the noise of cars, so I slept on the sofa bed in the living room... It’s located in a bit hidden area but with beautiful atmosphere. Facilities are bit old but this unique & nice building has 18 equipped spacious flats with common garden area.

I booked the last room available the day before, lucky me it was the top flat! Central location, service was friendly and the flat well serviced (iron, board, kitchen set, etc). Only negative note, the Wi-Fi didn’t work and the night I spent there, a live singing was happening below on the street.

This the no 1 hotel I liked during my trip around Sicily. The hotel is like hidden gem. Beautifully surrounded by olive trees, and love the rosemary at the backyard. A large clean room with air con & a fridge. All staff & owners were helpful, friendly & spoke excellent English. Great location. You do need to be able to walk up 52 internal steps,(we are in our late 60s and we were fine with this) but will get help with luggage.

For a weekend/short break, this hotel is ideal. It is basic and quiet. However, the room has that 'wow' factor - four poster bed and high ceilings decorated by plaster muriels. The bathroom was basic, but functional. If I were to visit again, am pretty sure I would stay here again.
