Hotels in Bergamo

This hotel had its charm, but it took a while to find it.. the hotel and the charm. We got there in a car and had no idea of where to park since nothing was around and this isn't a typical hotel with a front desk. We finally figured it out and parked in a parking garage not too far away. The place was rustic and not too modern, but it was in a good location at a really good price. I would stay there...

The staff was great (family owned): friendly and kind. The room was a big and fully renovated and clean. The bathroom was big with all comforts. For breakfast there is an Italian bar at 5 minutes. You really feel the Italian breakfast. They even have a restaurant, but we did not try,

Mrs Giovanna is a very kind person, it was a pleasure to meet her. The location of the B&B is excellent, in a quiet neighborhood and a short distance from the center and upper Bergamo. Varied breakfast, abundant, excellent homemade orange marmalade. Really happy with the experience ... We highly recommend it

A very pleasant, intimate hotel located on a charming street. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean, serviced daily, and equipped with an electric kettle, cups, tea, and sugar, a refrigerator, and a hairdryer. The hotel's location is excellent – about a 5-minute walk to the bus stop where buses to and from the airport depart and arrive, a 5-6-minute walk to the Città Alta gate...

We (2 people) stayed at the Academia Residence Hotel in Bergamo for two days, from April 11 to 13, 2025. The price was RUB 29,022.50 without breakfast (€276.4). Booked through Trip.com. Cost of hotel is quite reasonable, but going from train station to hotel was quite a mess, the hotel coild not explain properly how to get there, which I half way up the old town. Unless you have no luggage, taking a taxi is the most convenient . The taxi stand is to the right side along the train station. Which we were told by tourist information across the Plaza, but not really clear We didnt try...

I stayed in this hotel with my family and we can warmly recommend it! The hotel is stylish, clean environment, excellent breakfast and warm staff. One of the great experiences on our vacation! If you are looking for accommodation in Bergamo, this is the best choice!

Super spacious B&B three kilometers from the "newer" old town ("citta bassa"). Top room, top bathroom, super clean. Unfortunately there was a misunderstanding on my part with the parking lot. When I say "parking available" I don't understand that parking in public spaces in the immediate vicinity can and should be free of charge. Last bus back leaves quite early. Check times!

Only a few words to describe this B&B: hospitality, courtesy, availability and quality. Comfortable rooms, very clean and equipped with everything; excellent breakfast and much more than abundant, and a lot of availability. Absolutely more than recommended. A stone's throw from the airport and close to the center, a truly exceptional little B&B. Large, bright, clean, tastefully furnished rooms, bathrooms that mirror the room. The breakfast buffet was excellent and plentiful. There is no shortage of sweet pampering and free drinks. Absolutely adequate prices. Sympathy, maximum availability and professionalism of Marco and his kind wife complete the offer...

We really enjoyed our stay here. Room number 1 was clean, spacious and airconditioned. Room was also made after our first night, although I would normally not expect it from a Bed & Breakfast. There are blinds in the windows, so you can darken the room if you are not an early bird. Actually the whole accomodation made a better impression than I expected from the pictures. Nearly 2 years since our visit, forgot to write it up! Quirky large rooms in a modern building. Decent enough continental style breakfast. Character full owner. Almost at the bottom of the fernicular railway to the old town making it a great but cheaper location.

Spacious rooms in a great location in a quirky guesthouse with friendly owners. 5 mins from the old town and bus stop outside that will take you directly to/from the airport in 25 mins. Left too early to get breakfast.

Excellent place to explore Bergamo. A Bergamo is a great place to rest one day before departure from Italy. Accommodation is located on the border of the "upper" and "lower" town, near the funicular. Service is true Italian - friendly but accidental. Location is excellent. Room is okay and clean. Breakfast is alright but not exceptional. Owner is very friendly and entertaining. "Every day is a holiday in Italy."

We had a lovely night here. The room was enormous and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was also a good size. The host greeted us like we were friends. We could make our own coffee and tea anytime. The location near the funicular is terrific and very easy to reach from the train or the airport.

It was a perfect short stay! I felt like home and everything was just right - from the host's attention to give me directions to get to the property, warm welcome, large, beautiful, spotlessly clean, bright and comfortable room, amenities - to the calm location which enabled very good rest for a light sleeper like me. Every so often I go to Bergamo with my family, Casa Chiara is always the ideal place to spend the night in peace. The neighborhood where the b & b is located is welcoming, the rooms are always clean and hospitable, the breakfast excellent and plentiful (taste the homemade jams), Ms Chiara stands out for her kindness and sympathy.

Starting with Mrs. Chiara who is very sweet and attentive, her welcome is special and makes you feel welcome (not for nothing we have returned). The rooms are very clean and comfortable, in particular the Luna room has been recently renovated and is beautiful and cared for in the smallest details. I recommend it dispassionately

A very central, comfortable and silent b & b, where I felt very well. The breakfast plentiful. The kindness and availability of Gabriele have made my stay more pleasant.

The best place to stay in Bergamo. Very nice, spacious apartments with very good breakfast. Its near city center (La Città Alta), near train station and buses are max 5 mins from this place. Owner is very nice and he even told us to leave our baggage in the room till we went to see the city (even after check out). Calm street and near is even supermarket opened till 23:00. Totally recommended.

Here is one of the best during my travels, the place is close to central train station about 12 min by walk. Inside is so clean with nice environment and very nice furniture. After a long visiting days the spa bath will help to have a rest. There is only one problem especially for old people or disabled people, to goes stairs up(about 30 step)

We ordered 6 and 7 places apartments. Some things that should be improved: 1. Wifi router is in 3rd floor but same wifi was for both apartments which are is different floors and sides of stairs. That's why one apartment (with router) has good wifi and another apartment barely catches it (possible to connect in some places but it usually disconnects while trying to open Internet sites) 2. I stayed one night here and it was delightful! The location is perfect for seeing the best parts of Bergamo's old town, and Marco is a very gracious host. The continental breakfast was delicious and the portions were generous. The view from the room and the rest of the building was incredible, although you have to climb a few flights of stairs to get to it. The place was tidy, comfortable and quiet...

Nice garden with swimming pool and chairs to relax. Water in sink did not went down easy, not enough toilet paper (only half with no extra). Simple room. Good place if you are planning to take a early flight. 8 minutes drive to airport.

Until 11PM and starting again at 7AM, there were planes flying right over the building making very loud noises. We had to leave early, around 7AM, and we had no electricity. We had to take a shower with the light from the cellphones. Other than that, very nice place, great terrace with a pool for kids.
