No air-conditioning made sleeping a bit challenging in our humid June stay. The balcony door does opens to allow fresh air in, but with no other windows, you can not get any cross flow ventilation. Sadly, the pool was "broken" during our stay, so we didn't get a chance to use it (although it looks pretty big). As there was a wedding reception/celebration on our first night, there was no place for us...

An elegant hotel with a relaxing atmosphere. Great pool and spa. Rooms were spotlessly clean and refreshed each day. Breakfast was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is 5 minutes walk to Bormio centre. We visited in the summer and there is plenty to do. Highly recommended.

Acceptable place. Near the center. Too hot. Dinner in another hotel (good and plentiful) at 2 km. Some lights did not work, there is no light in front of the room and you have to look for the patch. No parking (3 places in the whole hotel). Do not clean enough. Very friendly and sociable the staff that earns the three stars more

wonderful child friendly place with not only a swiming pool but a room full of toys for kids .. other thn this place has fantastic gym sauna and massage place too .. i love the atic rooms with balcony

Booked in advance, TK starts the ski season. Thanks to this managed to stay in a single room under the roof with a veranda and Jacuzzi. Breakfast is pleased, not Italian. In the sense that there was something to eat besides cruasan and coffee. Cheeses, cereals, meats, eggs, fresh juice and fruit... the Staff is helpful, trying to solve urgent issues promptly, to help. Stayed here for 3 nights whilst cycling the local mountain passes - really well maintained hotel, lovely facilities and great views. Very accommodating for our bikes - told us we can leave them in our rooms or in the ski room. Breakfast was of a really high standard and catered for every taste in a buffet style.

Really good Hotel, great rooms, great food, attentive staff, secure parking (small extra charge) free open air parking, set in a beautiful mountain landscape.

The lodge was absolutely stunning, the location breath-taking and the courtesy and availability of the staff just incredible, a particular mention for the young but absolutely stunning chef Tommaso, who will surprise you with its sophisticated but yet genuine dishes, always combined with the rarest and most delicious wines. We can't wait to go back this winter!

Only for the restaurant. I state that I was very reluctant to enter as I thought they would sell us more the image than the quality. I was wrong! In addition to an impeccable service (elegant and very responsive postures) it was the food that amazed me. I was with his wife and daughters and we all had different dishes. Excellent modern hotel with an ideal location in the mountains. Not very big but comfortable rooms with all amenities. A small wellness center with sauna and Turkish bath, which can also be used on the day of departure to refresh after the last day of skiing. Beautiful food... warm welcome....comfortable beds.....pleasant room....a lovely place to stay. Only suggestion...to have the option of a thicker pillow....and the rooms were just a little too warm in temperature..but you can open the balcony doors to let some cooler air in!

Very good quality of food. Service is quite polite and kind. Good taste if Valtellina specialties pizzoccheri, bresaola etc.

Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff (however with one very notable exception unfortunately). Dinner service too rushed making you feel rushed in turn. Food was generally good, although the second dishes seemed to be very much hit or miss (and the fish option bland/tasteless). No vegetables at breakfast unfortunately.

Great hotel. Has everything for a quality vacation. Convenient access by car, own Parking,helpful staff, Shuttle to the lift. Lovely rooms, cleaned daily. Nice staff, quite decent food, for a 4 star it was possible for Breakfast to make porridge and the most eggs to cook until desired consistency, not cold cool, strange that a grain of coffee in the coffee machine is not as good as in a street cafe

Very cosy hotel, a sauna with Hammam and swimming pool, there is a ski room to the lift carries a personal bus (opening hours: lift - 8:30-10:00, with slope in at 16:00-17:00). The food is standard as everywhere else. The rooms are cozy, but small. Nearby are the city baths (three minutes walk). Main street is also nearby.

We stayed for a weekend. Everything was perfect: the hospitality was top notch, the rooms were the best... we had dinner at the steakhouse... everything was very good. What else can I say if you won't be back soon. Thanks to Lisia and Davide Maffezzoli.

Beautiful place in the city, near ski area and near to the city centre. The room is Beautiful and really comfortable, clean and with a lovely mountain's view. Really good service and great breakfast.

Perfect hotel for a cycling holiday. Breakfast is extended, with all kind of food what you would like as a cyclist. The rooms are recently upgraded, and they look good. The hospitality of the owners is warm, the way you expect from an Italian couple. The sauna is nice. You can cycle the gavia and stelvio right from the hotel.

We stayed at La Genzianella for a 4 day bike trip. It was just perfect. The rooms, the restaurant and the superfriendly staff! Tip: book halfboard. The restaurant is just really amazing. Would definitely like to return here one day.

My girlfriend and I had an excellent dinner at la genzianella. We arrived quite late but the staff has been able to provide us an excellent experience and they let us try several tasty dishes. Good wines. Prices quite competitive. The location is fantastic.

This is an extremely well run hotel. It deserves top honours. The staff are fantastic and go out of their way to help you out. The breakfast is amazing with lots of variety. The rooms are very well set out and decorated beautifully that fits well with the mountains.

Specious rooms, with balcony. Clean and well maintained room. Medium soft mattress and double pillows. Friendly receptionist and staff. Breakfast buffet available with a range of fruit, fresh juice, pancakes, cereals and hot prepared meals.

Great chalet hotel, good breakfast buffet that my 13yo loved. Spacious, clean triple room and two large lounges to chill with friends. Nice bar too with snack menu and ample parking. If you eat in their restaurant then you get a table reserved for breakfast. Also useful is that the reception has a small supply of OTC medicines to tide you over until you can get to the pharmacy eg. Paracetamol, ibuprofen...

Beautiful rooms and kind staff. Some details did not correspond to our expectations... the balcony was smaller than what appeared in pics and being at the first floor we had the breakfast tables of the cafè below. Nevertheless closing the windows there was no noise left

Best breakfast in Bormio, lovely staying. There is also the possibility to spend nights in the rooms upstair of the bar. Excellent waiters and costs inside of the waited ones.

A lovely hotel in Bormio, located a few minutes walk from the main center pedestrian street. Large rooms with kitchen, amazing mountain view. Staff is outstanding. The hotel also has a SPA and a very nice cake shop.

I just came back from my biking vacation and it was PERFECT thanks to Daniele and whole crew from hotel Funivia. Excellent hospitality, great advice on weather and road conditions ,bike storage in basement with an accent of the bike shop with tools and cleaning suplies ,its the paradise for cyclist and family advantures . Family hotel in a great location. Next to the ski lift (winter) and the bicycle tracks (summer) the owner is a bicycle enthusiast and the hotel is very friendly to riders. Rooms are large and comfortable and have a magical mountain view. They have a bicycle parking and offer bicycle rental. Their service is excellent. The staff is charming and courteous

Nice location for skiers since it is next to the slopes, room are according to expectations for a 3 star hotel (keep in mind no coffee or tea is available in the room and the wifi bugs once in a while), nice staff and vibes, food from the restaurant that is included with your stay is ok and the breakfast is nice.

Had a great coffee on my trip up and down the Stelvio pass. Better to stop here than on the tourist trap top of the mountain.

I cycled up the Stelvio pass from Bormio Terme spa. When I reached this hotel I could see chairs outside and made my way there. It was past the lunchtime trade around 1500 but they made me feel welcome. I bought a pannini and a milky coffee (latte machiatto) and a cake. The tables and inside was lovely and clean. The service was very quick and she understood several languages. I used English and Italian...

A warm hotel with clean rooms, good food, and great views, but the highlight was the very friendly welcome from the staff and management.

Excellent hotel managed by Italian family with high service level and very nice modern Italian food. The hotel is excellent for cyclists. Also a nice wellness centre in the hotel with a small gym as well.

The hotel is located just outside the city centre. It's a short, pleasant walk to cross the river into town. The views are spectacular, the staff are friendly and accommodating. The only negative is the is insufficient power outlets for charging devices.

The area is unbelievably scenic. The spa complex is huge and very good. However the hotel itself is pretty medicare, especially since it claims to have five stars. What makes a good five-star experience? Feeling special being their guest. It’s not at all the case with this hotel. The staff doesn't look particularly friendly or welcoming—not much smiling or nice words in general. We’ve heard “no” too...

I loved my time there, I actually regret I did a 5 hours entry only, should have stayed all day! I didn’t sleep in the hotel, but got there around opening time in the morning so the 9:30 entry slot, even if was a Saturday there were very few people in morning, started to get more busy around lunch time. the snow outside made it even more beautiful

We had a couple massages and was a great experience. The atmosphere is amazing and relaxing. The two masseuses were very nice and friendly and they did an amazing service. I’ll definitely go back.

Good hotel with very secure parking if you pay for it, about 10e a day. In centre of Bormio. Very good cycle storage in locked room with a few bike tools and track pump. No restaurant or bar but plenty nearby. Good breakfast although no hot items. Very nice rooms with good bathroom and all very clean.
