The hotel is stunning. Immaculate and elaborate. The architecture and design are incredible; they don;t make hotels like this anymore. We loved the thermal bath/spa, all included with your room rate. My only advice is go on a weekday, if you can. We were there on a Saturday, and 95% of people in spa were there on a day pass; they weren't hotel guests, so spa was packed. I can;t even describe the breakfast...

We stayed three nights at the Palace Hotel between Christmas and New Year. Overall, we had a great time. The location of the hotel is central and there is a free shuttle to the cabinovia. Rooms were well furnished and cleaned regularly, and we thoroughly enjoyed the pool and the spa. The staff was attentive and kind. we came as a bicycle team to Bormio. Hotel is in great location, great stuff (barman and waitress). all required services exist including laundry and health center. no air condition so don't take the 4th or the 1st floors. very good breakfast, dinner food was good/ok

Rooms are clean, but the lowest priced tier rooms are quite small. Walls are very thin. I can hear my neighbors talk and flush toilets. We weren't able to fit our bikes in the room. Though there's a ski room for bike storage, it does not have bike racks or ability to lock individual bikes. The service is okay. Position, view and facility were very good. The staff was kind and helpful. Breakfast was superb, high quality food with a lot of choice. The room was big and soundproof. Two drawbacks: the bed was hard in my opinion, I'm used to more soft beds in hotels usually. The other one was a minor one, the bathroom sink had a small defect on the discharge pipe.

Centrally located and with parking this is a lovely hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean with excellent bathrooms. The restaurant was good with a more than adequate menu. The breakfast was extensive and the staff were lovely and went out of their way to help you.

It’s a beautiful hotel to feast your eyes on and even more gorgeous when you arrive. Eight tired motor bikers turned up to a welcoming smile. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. I was one of a group who spent a week in Hotel San Lorenzo. Everything was top class, rooms were simple and spotless, thoroughly clean every day. Breakfast was outstanding, with a wide range for meats, fruit, cereals and juices. Choice of breads could have been better but tha tis a very small issue. Table service was exemplary. Staff were unfailingly helpful in all respects.

We spent our last three nights in Italy at the Baita dei Pini and adored it. Our suite was the size of an apartment and smelt of fresh pine. We had an incredible view over the Giro d'Italia route with the mountains beyond. There are stunning hikes and runs a short drive away and world class bike climbs from the front door. All was great. A 5 minute walk from Bormio gondola and the old town center. The small but nice spa should be restricted to 2 people (you book the hour anyway). We were 6 people and there wasn’t enough space. Breakfast was excellent as well as the restaurant.

I travel most of my time for work and pleasure. It's the first time that an hotel, knowing in advance about a birthday celebration does nothing for the guest, not a glass of wine, not a chocolate...not a card. I believe a pricy 4* hotel should be more focused on personalized service. A good location, clean room and ok breakfast are a basics for that price.

Very nice hotel, friendly staff, breakfast is perfect for cycling and dinner is really good. The location is nice, slightly outside the centre so it is not so busy, but the noise from motorcycles going can be quite loud. Overall really nice place to stay, will return for my next trip to Bormio

It's my third stay in Hotel Funivia and i consider them as the best bike friendly hotel in Bormio. Rooms were always clean and tidy whenever i'm back from my ride, their halfboard covers both breakfast (handy sandwiches and bananas for your ride) full course dinners and if you miss your lunch after your ride, they had refreshments after 3pm so that you will not go hungry till dinner it's serve. Good location. A minute walk from ski rental, 5 minutes walk from the lift to Bormio 2000. Very friendly staff. Clean. Good breakfast, though i wish there would be vegetables. The pool is for kids. The saunas facilities are not comfortable. I would recommend the hotel.

The friendly members of the staff are the cleaners and do a fantastic job! There are a couple of the dining staff who we found pleasant but the small guy with the glasses didn’t make much effort to speak, in fact he made me feel uncomfortable. There are plenty of areas to longe in if you wish to have some private space. The spa area is quiet nice and is very clean and ideal for an hours relaxation...

Stayed here during our trip to Bormio when biking stelvio pass. The hotel was really beautiful and clean. However, our room was 24 degrees, and we were incredibly hot and unable to adjust the thermostat. I asked the front desk to adjust it, but it did not make a difference. Overall, the hotel was in a convenient location with parking onsite, and the room was quiet and clean.

We were six guys on a short bicycle trip, doing the famous passes in the region: Mortirolo, Stelvio, Gavia. Whenever there was a technical or historical problem, we got immediate help from the host, including direct delivery of spare parts :-) The food was excellent and the dining was cosy. This hotel is beautifully decorated. The staff are great and the spa was excellent. It had a parking garage and the breakfast was very good. However our room on the third floor was not sound proofed. It was too warm with no air con and the bathroom was very small and dark. We would have liked tea or coffee making facility in the room but there was none.

The Perfect Hotell! We had a fantastic stay at the hotel! The service was excellent, everything was spotlessly clean, and the breakfast was delicious – served right in our apartment and enjoyed on the terrace with a stunning view of the mountains. We wanted to explore the also, Italian, Swiss and Austrian and whilst there are a million videos of all the passes we were awestruck … and Sottovento is truly luxury hospitality! Great location and we simply ate eleated even after being here for about 3 weeks. Notmal hotels never know how to Look after long term guests but sottovento makes you feel each day is your special as their guest!

I absolutely loved this Hotel, I stayed for 9 nights and didn’t want to leave!!! The staff are all amazing, so helpful and friendly. The rooms are practical and very comfortable, mine even had a little kitchenette behind cupboard doors , which I made good use of. The room also had a washing machine. A yummy breakfast was served to my room every morning. There is a cafe on site with very nice pastries...

Based on one of our group's recommendation, we stayed in Hotel La Genzianella for the first time. It's a family run hotel. They provide a relaxed and friendly but highly professional service. A very nice family run hotel, I was there on a cycling trip to ride the big climbs in Bormio. Would not hesitate to return to this hotel. They also cater to skiers in winter. And I can imagine Bormio is a excellent location for winter sports also!

This is by far my favourite place to stay anywhere in the world. The staff is amazing, the rooms are great, and the food is incredible. Even with a gluten allergy, they are incredibly accommodating at breakfast and dinner. I love this place and would highly recommend!
