QC Terme Grand Hotel Bagni Nuovi

I adore QC hotels a lot, but this stay was upsetting:( we were refused to have a dinner, mentioning that the restaurant is full. I thought hotel guest have a priority.
But then another disappointment came out. You cannot order a room service if you stay in villa. So prepare yourself to pay for a 5* hotel, but don’t count for 5* service if you stay in villa.
It’s not what you deserve to hear after traveling for 6 hours with two little kids :((

Avoid staying at the hotel: Overcrowded and Not Worth the Price
The SPA experience fell far short of expectations. The intense overcrowding completely destroyed any chance of relaxation. Considering the hotel's premium pricing, the exclusive access for guests (limited to one hour, 8:30-9:30 AM) offered negligible value. Unless early morning exclusivity is crucial for you, I strongly advise seeking alternative accommodations and purchasing a day pass or hourly SPA access. The overall experience simply didn't justify the hotel's cost.

After a challenging start to the year, I decided to sneak away to the Hotel Bagni Nuovi to bring peace into my life. As someone who usually prefers to camp in the wild, my expectations for the level of relaxation were set quite expectably high. My anticipation grew as we entered the impressive grounds surrounded by snow-capped peaks. The architecture and serenity immediately made me feel like I was strolling through a sleepy West Anderson Film. However, from the moment I stepped inside, the cracks started to cloud my vision and reality set in. I won’t waste your time by explaining my criticisms of the Hotel Bagni Nuovi, but here are my favourites to help you decide if the Hotel Bagni Nuovi can meet your expectations of a “luxury hotel”.

Quality of service: When entering a “5 star hotel”, one has a certain pre-disposition towards being welcomed into that space and made to feel at home. You might expect the staff to treat you like a close old friend. At The Hotel Bagni Nuovi, we did meet a few kind souls. However, most of the staff were indifferent and almost irritated by our presence. The volume of people travelling through the giant hotel has resulted in the quantity over quality mentality. For example, when I requested a cappuccino at the bar, I was told I couldn’t have one but could make myself an instant coffee from the machine in the reception.

Facilities: If asked to describe the feeling of relaxation, I would convey a gently trickling stream meandering through a forest on a warm spring day. Everything is perfectly in balance, just as it should be. If I were to describe the feeling of relaxation at the Hotel Bagni Nuovi, I would describe it as a dry river bed with a small team of squirrels trying to bring it back to life with leaky buckets of water. From mediocre spa facilities, ongoing construction and an almost comical attempt at a bar, we were left questioning why the dam place was so expensive. My favourite memory is repeatedly losing power in the bedroom at night and being plunged into complete darkness. Not only did the bedroom not have a phone to call reception, but when we called on our mobile, we were trapped in a loop of automated responses. Eventually, we gave up trying to get help and fumbled about with the fuse box each time till the lights eventually came back on. This happened four times during our stay.

So, if you have more money than sense, perhaps The Hotel Bagni Nuovi is the right place for you. But if not, I strongly recommend seeking another place to stay and bypassing The Hotel Bagni Nuovi altogether. If it’s a spa experience you’re after, The Bagni Vecchi is a world apart from the Bagni Nuovi. A day visit is more than sufficient to enjoy its superior offerings.

Very nice nature around, great facilities.

The service could have been better: they charge you the same price even if aperitivo is not available. At 21:00 men dressing room was occupied by two female workers that were refilling lockers and not allowing to comfortably change.

This did not happen in other QC Terme I‘ve been before, so I hope it‘s just this place 😞
