Confusion & general organizational issues, Service not worth the price - more like a local camping than a resort, but in a good location Save your money guys, and go somewhere else - the poor service obstruct the view. Having paid more than we did for our previous trip to the area, we arrived with realistic, premium expectations. Unfortunately, this is far from a resort - they rely almost entirely on the exceptional location of the site, with disastrous cohesion and organization. Here is a list of details: Arrival: cold welcome & poor English, only half the information was provided, we were given camping-style wristbands without knowing what they were for (& mine was different?). No information about our half-board accommodation, beach towels, beach chairs - EXTRA be careful! ($50/day during summer's weekend), or excursions. A golf cart was supposed to take us to our room, but after waiting in the sun and after a day of traveling, locals returning from the beach without luggage were given priority (what about walking, guys?). Room: outdated, a sofa bed instead of a bed as requested—and paying extra for it—a handicapped bathroom that wasn't requested and flooded every time we tried to take a shower. Everything was for two people, not three. A mini fridge that was half broken, no coffee machine or equipment in the room. Daily room service was okay. Does not deserve to be called a 4-star hotel or resort, or even “superior.” Restaurant: nothing to add to the other comments, poor quality, lack of variety and hygiene. General confusion, no explanation given, we were kicked out of our table and moved to another one where they added our name—a table assigned to us for the rest of our stay... to be then moved the last day of our stay. Cold and unfriendly staff, we came for lunch instead of dinner and a waitress came to tell us we had to pay - maybe a "hi, how are you today?" would have been better. Bad coffee if you don't want to pay extra, plastic cups and dirty wine glasses. The rooftop bar is definitely better, but it's far from being adults-only, with children running around and crying everywhere. There is no difference between the two sections of the restaurant; our section is supposed to be premium (yes, we checked, same food, even the two wines served). Fortunately, the pool reserved for our section was fairly quiet, despite a lifeguard who didn't reprimand the children playing very noisily with balls being thrown everywhere—hadn't we read somewhere that it was adults-only? Excursions: we contacted them when we made our reservation a few weeks before our stay, and the only response we received (which was late) was that it was not possible to book in advance. Once we arrived, we were told that there were no more places available until the end of our stay. We decided to go into town instead, where we found availability for the following day. Our room was falling apart. Big hole in the curtains, bathroom faucet handle fell off, water shut off in the middle of a shower - had to go to friend’s room to shower for 2 days. The parking situation is a disaster - the gates never open causing major backup. Every single time! Front desk was so rude when I had to go in to ask them to open when no one could enter. Food was ok in terms of quality, but there was a 45min wait for lunch at the terrace bar - 2 days in a row. Meals felt like a cruise ship buffet crowd situation. We did our best to try not to let all the things ruin our holiday, but it was hard! Price for the week was great but now I know why. You get what you pay for.

Disappointing Stay – Poor Service, Facilities, and Food We had a very disappointing experience at this hotel, and I feel compelled to share it to help others avoid the same. From the very start, things went wrong. On arrival, my sister was given the wrong hotel bracelet, which later caused issues with claiming her all-inclusive drinks at the bar. To make matters worse, both of our rooms had non-functioning air conditioning on the first night, making it nearly impossible to sleep. We raised the issue with the rep the next morning (Friday), and while one room’s AC started working again, the other did not. All they could offer us was a fan, which didn’t help much in the heat. We were told to return in the morning. On Saturday, we went to reception at 10:00am to follow up. They said they’d send someone. When we returned at 1:30pm, staff claimed they had no knowledge of the issue but that someone was working on our block and they’d call us once it was resolved. Later that day, we returned again—still no resolution, and again staff acted like they had no idea what we were talking about. It wasn’t until I broke down in tears at reception that, suddenly, a room became available and we were finally able to get a proper night’s sleep. We moved rooms the next morning (Sunday) and returned the key to the old one. Unfortunately, the problems didn’t stop there. On Thursday, July 3rd, my parents’ room AC stopped working. The hotel couldn’t even provide a fan. One receptionist tried removing and reinserting the batteries from the AC remote, hoping that would fix it. After speaking with four different people and wasting 45 minutes, someone finally gave us new batteries. We returned to the room and turned on the AC—only for the power to cut out across the entire block 20 seconds later. One staff member who was supposed to help us with this issue, who we later learned was apparently the director, was incredibly rude. The rest were just unhelpful. In the end, it was another guest who offered a solution: they suggested switching off the street lamps to help reduce the hotel’s power usage. It’s ridiculous that guests were more helpful than hotel staff. On top of all this, my parents stopped receiving basic toiletries like shampoo in their room for the last two days of our stay. The overall cleanliness and hospitality of the hotel left a lot to be desired. Most hard working and kind people we encountered was the lady cleaning the pool toilets and restaurant floors staff—who was clearly overworked and understaffed but always with smile on their faces. As for the food—easily one of the worst aspects of our stay. Breakfast was exactly the same every day (cheap-looking bacon, bland scrambled eggs, and basic frankfurters. The croissants tasted low quality, and there was only one toast station — which was constantly messy and always had a queue). Let me be clear. We didn't stay in this location but in the Nuraghe Arve resort across the road. The reason why I want give a 1 star review here is because from this and the other Esse Cale Gonone Beach Resort there is constant loud music with a DJ or presenter shouting in the microphone. I don't mind if there is 1 hour disco per day or so. But this goes on and on and spoilt our stay in the resort next to it. Party: OK. Disturbing the whole neighborhood : NOT OK I also can't think of people liking this loud music all day...

Having travelled to many destinations around the world, this is by far one of the worst hotels I have ever visited in terms of poor food quality and very poor and inconsistent customer service. And please before anyone reads this and thinks "oh dear another moaning Brit", seriously I am not, I just want people to understand how bad this place can be before you part with your money. By the way, on the plus side - the swimming pool is amazing and the was plenty of space around the pool, so guests were not like sardines in a can. But the rooms are in desperate need of an overhaul, very 80's decor and looked tired and worn. The good was appalling and we only booked for breakfast but it was repetitive - the same items every single day, fruit was in short supply and the quality of other good products left a lot to be desired. As for the customer service at the reception, this was in the main very unprofessional and lacking in customer service skills. Overall, the location from the small town anf the hotel pool were the only plus points, everything else was poor. Please think carefully before booking.

Empty breakfast with bad quality products. The rooms do not have the required stuff in it (slippers, bath robes, etc.), they smell bad and the furniture was pretty old. And the staff was really unfriendly. Never coming back!

The room is old with smallest shower I have ever seen in a hotel. No wifi in the rooms, only at the reception. You pau euros per day for parking and 30 euros for 2 bed and an umbrellas to use at the beach as well as 30 euro refundable deposit for the beach towels and 3 euro for each towel. The resort is quite a walk so not recommended for elderly especially if you want to go down to the beach. Breakfast is awful and limited choices. Just cakes and pastries. The resort have shows every night but you all in Italian language.

Arrived on day 1, dated room, air con not working. Raised with staff on each of the days of our stay. No resolution.

Breakfast is of horrific quality. Nothing more needs to be said. No point complaining as it is what they serve.

Pros: Good location. Nice pool. Cheap (luckily)
