My stay at Cala della Torre was a mixed experience. The staff struggled with English, making communication difficult, and it often felt like Italian guests were treated better, especially when requesting small things like ice for drinks. One bartender was a standout, friendly and helpful, even knowing a few words in Polish. However, finding the reception at night was a challenge, and dragging heavy luggage up the stairs from the back of the hotel was inconvenient.
The rooms are old and in need of renovation. While ours had a decent shower, some of our friends ended up in basement rooms that were dark, noisy, and smelled of dampness. On the bright side, rooms were cleaned daily, and the beds were comfortable.
The hotel's location is one of its best features, close to a beautiful, well-kept beach with plenty of loungers. However, there were no toilets or beach bar, which would have improved the experience. The little train that shuttles guests to the beach was a nice touch, and the nearby town offers some evening entertainment with restaurants and a promenade.
Amenities were lacking overall. The pool is small and crowded, and the restaurant experience was chaotic with loud guests and food that quickly ran out. Breakfasts were repetitive, coffee was undrinkable, and there were no hot drinks at dinner. While some meals were tasty, there were often undercooked potatoes or overcooked meats. Desserts were a highlight. Animations were only in Italian and mostly for children, making them less appealing to other guests. Afternoon snacks were limited to sweets, which wasn't ideal for anyone who missed breakfast.
The atmosphere was relaxed but noisy, with lots of screaming children. The hotel feels more like a 3-star rather than the 4-star advertised. I've stayed in lower-rated hotels in other countries that were much better.
Overall, if not for being with a group of friends, my rating would be lower. Cala della Torre lacks charm and the quality expected for its class. I wouldn't recommend it for those seeking a quiet and comfortable getaway, but it might work if you're traveling with a larger group and aren't looking for luxury. The beach definitely improves the overall impression, but beyond that, the hotel falls short.

This is way over expectations, great for families with children's, rooms clean and spacious, food is really good ,some repetitive but you always have what to choose from ,the pool looks great and clean although me and my 5 years old daughter choosen to go on the beach ,theres the hotels little train that goes to the beach every 30 minutes,theres entrainment during evening,and plenty of things to do in town including for kids,we love it here and we dont wanna go back home :) Next year we will come back in this hotel ,for longer period 😀

The restaurant and bar staff, Fabio, Massimo, Grazia and Cristian worked so speedily and so friendly and nice. Deserve a pay rise for the hours and days they work!!! Didn't meet our chambermaid room 216 but she left our room clean and tidy and gave us clean towels when requested. The entertainment staff were good, even if as a couple weren't particularly interested in the activities. Giorgia stood out to me, had she been around when our kids were young, I'm sure it'd have appreciated her. La caletta itself was a little disappointing, nobody seems to take pride in it, a little run down. Only go if you like beaches and doing nothing.... But the resort itself is fab. Husband (Italian)was a chef and the quality considering the numbers being catered for was excellent. Not one bad meal. That's about it!

This place is a four-star establishment only in someone’s wet dream. Nobody speaks English here. The cleaning staff is extremely rude. Rooms are small, dark, and dinghy. When you use the toilet, you rest your feet in the shower bed, which leaks so bad the bathroom becomes a muddy puddle after every shower. You drink beer and wine from water glasses, coffee and juice is only served till 9:30 AM. I don’t think anyone has ever heard of the incredible wonder of soup around here [edit: they started serving soup at some point, so you can probably get it, if you're lucky]. It’s only pasta and meat. Take it or leave it. And the best part, they do have a basketball court, but guess what? You guessed right, they don’t have a basketball. Just precious. I haven’t had such a disastrous hotel experience ever and I’ve been to places.

Excellent hotel with incredible food. Congratulations for the chef and the cooks! The restaurant was a high standard one with really tasty food and menu as in renowned world class restaurants! The rooms were being cleaned daily. The hotel animators were making sure we have a great time.

Very good location, train to the beach, good and clean rooms. We have booked two rooms fot the big family, 2nd room was very big with large terrace and view to the sea. Good dinner. In overall it was a very good stay.

All in all the hotel was ok, however in our opinion it does not deserve the four stars and therefore the money you pay. Our family room was very clean but the beds, especially the double bed, were terrible. I have never slept so badly in any hotel, not even in mobile homes. This is unacceptable in a four star hotel and could be an easy fix. What we also found a pity was that the children's entertainment was offered almost exclusively in Italian. At least English would have been good but we are used to it by now. The food was ok, but we have had enough of vanilla pudding for the time being. The sea however was beautiful and the people at the hotel mostly nice.

The rooms are a bit blank and the included food could be better, but that’s all one could complain. At least the bathroom I’d smell but in good condition. The service is great, the personnel all over the place is very polite and helpful and the place isn’t overrun by crying children, perhaps because they’re being kept entertained late into the night. Overall a great experience, will happily come back.
