Take the boat to get there - it's a bit of a hike if going by car/foot. The views and location are amazing though. Great friendly staff as well.

The stay was very good, as the view and the house's placement was excellent. The service was fine, but it could be better. Food wise, my stay was excellent, as the restaurant had a wide range of well cooked food.

Had a lovely stay at La Camogliese hotel. The hotel is located right next to the beach and easy to reach from the train station. The rooms are clean and have nautical themes. The reception and staff were very helpful and made a special gesture to mark a special occasion that occurred while I was there. Grazie!

Nice, renovated villa with beautiful mediterranian garden. The owner, Valentina is really kind, the room was super clean and the view from the panoramic terasse is breathtaking.

Spacious, traditional accommodation in a beautiful liberty style villa in the hills above Camogli. Valentina was a warm, bubbly and very helpful owner/host. We spoke with her in Italian but believe she speaks reasonable English. The views from our private balcony down to the town and along the coast were fabulous.

Really nice and quiet room 2min walking from the beach, cafes, restaurants, supermarket. Great option to stay for a few days and if you don’t plan to cook at home or spend too much time there. Everything looked like the picture. I can definitely recommend it!

In un giorno di grande affollamento (ponte del 2 giugno), in cui era impossibile trovare parcheggio, il proprietario di casa si è mosso per aiutarci a trovare una soluzione.

We liked everything, and for a family with 3 kids it is not easy to achieve :D. Everything was clean, this house floor was comfortable and private enough, host very kind and helpful, small garden beautiful and ideal for meals outside. Also the location was very good because in the distance of 10-15 minutes there were beaches and cities, and we all loved that.

In a very quiet location, it has a very nice garden and outside seating area and was very clean. Sepideh is very helpful.

Very nice house, clean and equipped with everything, garden with barbecue complete with table under the fabulous pergola for outdoor meals, deckchairs and sun loungers available for sunbathing. Immersed in peace and nature, kind and reserved propitiators have given us the eggs of their hens. Very recommended place if you want to enjoy peace and relaxation.

Rest rest and some rest. Wonderful stay. Exciting ride over narrow streets, for the Dutch at least, to get there.

a secluded house, with nice landlady, clean apartment, geese, chickens (we got freshly laid eggs) have us 2 days well recovered. Unfortunately a bit away from the water and the harbor, but definitely recommendable

Host Carlo was very personable and entertaining! He gave us great suggestions on what to see and where to eat in the neighborhood and in Camogli! And, the water view is like no other - it was exceptional and breathtaking!

Fantastic view, quiet place to relax, spacious apartment and a wonderful and very attentive host! Perfect for families with kids. You can directly walk down the stairs to Camogli center and beach (about 25 Minutes) or take the bus to Camogli or Santa Margherita, and it is only a short walk to the beautiful Portofino Regional Park for hiking.

Loving it here, we have a room with a large balcony with stunning views of the town and the sea, the staff are friendly and very helpful, the room is a little basic, but comfortable and the breakfast really is amazing! It's also in a perfect position to explore the coast, we walked to Camogli which is beautiful, then took the train to Santa margarita, and bus back to Recco

The hotel staff were friendly and could speak good English. The location of the hotel is perfect, near the beach and near the city. Beautiful surroundings, the breakfast was perfect, a lot of choice. Really nice place to stay, the view is amazing. The house has a pool outside with view. The apartament was really beautiful and clean. The breakfast is very good, homemade cakes, foccacia, etc. The only con is, the house is in the mountain, and the only way you can get there is by car or by taxi (20 euros), any bus is going up there, or you can walk up and down stairs for 10 minutes to the downtown...

My wife and I were here in June 2017 and were completely blown away. Exceeded our expectations, the room, view service and the food served at the Casa Balin. The owner of Casa Balin and his mom were wonderful! Looking forward to our stay in June 2018 especially now that the pool is done.

One of the most incredible places I have ever stayed at. The views are magnificient! The place clean, renovated and beautifully finished. Valter the owner is friendly, warm hearted and funny. I can't recommend Casa Balin enough. I would stay here again.

Super nice stay! It's 5mins drive uphill from the Recco town and the reward is a B&B made with care to the detail. Magnificent sea view, quality material interior and most important genuine friendly people. They also make some homemade cake for the breakfast. Loved it!

The location is a feature that makes this place worth an experience: a wide view of Santa Margherita Ligure and the Tigullio Gulf. The service is very efficient and courteous. The gastronomic preparations are made with raw materials of the highest quality and in compositions with brilliant notes of originality.

This is not per se a luxury hotel. But it is really comfortable and the luxury is with the spectacular view, the great service and the intimacy. It feels like being in a private home very nicely renovated. The pools are fantastic and heated. The garden is great.

I just came back from a 2 night stay at this holiday and it was amazing. The pool is beautiful, the views are breathtaking, cleanliness 5/5, and most importantly the staff were just so nice and polite . The view was breathtaking The only advise that I would recommend the guests to avoid is to request taxi even those who are dealing with the resort as they will take the advantage of being tourists and they will charge you much higher than the regular amount...

Very near to the highway, the rooms are ok. By car you have like 30 minutes to Portofino.

Lovely hotel just off the autostrada... A bit dated but very quiet and in beautiful surroundings. The fitness center is not really much...but they do have some free weights.

The owner is a worm and considerate person who will immediately make you feel at home. Rooms are nice and cosy, they have separate entrance. 3,5 km from the B&B you have a beach and last but not least Recco's famous focaccia col formaggio.

We stayed at the Hotel Vela for 1 night only ( july 2025) it was around 15 minute walk from the train station Santa Margherita Ligure. The hotel is beautiful and offers stunning views, yes it’s a bit of a climb to get there but worth it! What a gem of a hotel…. Castle above Santa Margherita, a little long walk from the marina but worth it! If you have a car it’s a tight drive up but you can do it!
