We got rooms with a view of the railway station and of course the view was disgusting and you could hear the trains!

Faultless experience! This beautiful hotel has the best views of Santa Margherita and Portfino. Our suite with balcony and sea views was spacious and beautifully decorated with 2 bathrooms and a separate sitting room. The staff were excellent and breakfast on the terrace was stunning. For 4 days in May 2025 it felt like a fairytale in a palace.

This place is FANTASTIC. Kind’ve a hidden gem a short boat ride north of Portofino in Santa Margherita which, in our opinion, is a better town to stay in for multiple nights. Overall a solid place to stay, yet very overpriced. Big plus for spacios bathrooms and the engaged staff. Regarding the beds I can assure you from travel experience in 3rd world countries: These DO NOT come short in giving you a 3rd world experience. North Korea provides better beds, without a doubt. I recommend it with flying colors! Very kind and hospitable staff were able to accommodate all our requests and information. The hotel is located in the very center of the city with attention to every detail. Suites with jacuzzi and spa offer moments of complete relaxation.

This hotel is fine, but I’m not sure it warrants 5*. On our first night we were given a room with no shower (!) which seems a bit unusual for a hotel of this standard. After complaining the staff kindly offered to change us to another room at no incremental charge, but I think this is very unusual for a 5* (and certainly should have been communicated more clearly on the website to avoid the unpleasant...

This hotel offers a perfect location for a visit to Santa Margherita and Portofino. The dock is in easy walking distance for a boat trip to Portofino, and there is also a train station within and easy walk. Lots of restaurants are nearby as well. The hotel is very nice, and the staff is excellent!

The location is a feature that makes this place worth an experience: a wide view of Santa Margherita Ligure and the Tigullio Gulf. The service is very efficient and courteous. This is not per se a luxury hotel. But it is really comfortable and the luxury is with the spectacular view, the great service and the intimacy. It feels like being in a private home very nicely renovated. The pools are fantastic and heated. The garden is great.

I just came back from a 2 night stay at this holiday and it was amazing. Hotel with modern rooms in the center of Santa Margherita. For a 5 star I would have expected evening turndown and breakfast with more choice and more quality products. Hotel does not have a garage: we booked parking but our car was parked on the street in front of the hotel.

Comfortable and convenient location. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. Breakfast was included which was a plus. We also had a view of the beachfront from our room. Only downside was that the WiFi was slow at times and water was not provided in the rooms although this can be purchased from nearby stores for cheap prices.

We have stayed at Hotel Jolanda many times over the past 14 years. We continue to come back because we like that it is a boutique hotel and in a very convenient location. Amazing staff! We were just passing through the town because of bad weather and they went above and beyond with helping us. They helped book a taxi and even though the kitchen was closed they got us food. I can’t begin to explain how incredibly well they treated us and didn’t have to! Grateful for them plus it’s gorgeous property.

We stayed 3 nights in August and could not have been happier with the hotel and service. Everything inch of the property is very clean and every member of the staff was polite and helpful. It has an amazing garden and is right next to the sea. The concierge is very helpful and helps you organise activities. The rooms are well equipped and the beds are very comfortable, and some of the rooms have a wonderful sea side view.
