Everything in this hotel is really what you look for in a belle epoch hotel: relaxing, quiet, everything well considered, old world luxury, attention to detail. Gorgeous stately hotel on a perfect stretch of rocky beach, just a short walk from the center of town in Santa Margherita Ligure. Perfect place to have lunch, also, with a scenic view of the city, marina, and sea.

Hotel was absolutely beautiful and spotless. You always see someone cleaning something. Beautiful flowers everywhere too. Staff were extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. Special shout out to Claudio the lifeguard, who is such a lovely man, my wife and I were always so excited to go to the pool just to chat with him. Highly recommend.

Nice location on the bay

Overall a solid place to stay, yet very overpriced. Big plus for spacios bathrooms and the engaged staff. Regarding the beds I can assure you from travel experience in 3rd world countries: These DO NOT come short in giving you a 3rd world experience. North Korea provides better beds, without a doubt. Even in the Swiss military I've had more comfortable beds, it was a shame.

This hotel is fine, but I’m not sure it warrants 5*. On our first night we were given a room with no shower (!) which seems a bit unusual for a hotel of this standard. After complaining the staff kindly offered to change us to another room at no incremental charge, but I think this is very unusual for a 5* (and certainly should have been communicated more clearly on the website to avoid the unpleasant...

This hotel offers a perfect location for a visit to Santa Margherita and Portofino. The dock is in easy walking distance for a boat trip to Portofino, and there is also a train station within and easy walk. Lots of restaurants are nearby as well. The hotel is very nice, and the staff is excellent!

Stayed a few nights here the staff is amazing, had a few issues with wifi and after talking to the front desk they promptly resolve with a wifi extender went from 5 Mbs to 50 MBs. This place is FANTASTIC. Kind’ve a hidden gem a short boat ride north of Portofino in Santa Margherita which, in our opinion, is a better town to stay in for multiple nights. We had a perfect last minute getaway at Hotel Blu di The. The staff were incredible, very sweet with our three year old, we especially appreciated the warmth and personal touch from Giulia, who made our stay so nice and made us feel so welcome from the first moment. Nice hotel, renovated rooms, only issue is the loud noise from the cars and motorcycles which is a recurring problem on this road. Loud vehicles should be prohibited after 9pm.

Very obliging owner and staff, nice rooms, best location to start exploring the area. Portofino is in hiking distance, about 1.5h away. There is also an option provided to charge your electrical car allowing you to continue your trip with a fully charged car (Type-2 charger as well as 3-Phase and camping outlets).

Hotel Minerva is a prime example of how a perfect hotel should be. Amazing breakfast with alot to choose from, amazing service, close to restaurants and Portofino/Rapallo/Cinque terre. We had a Superior Room at upper floor and it was extremely small, therefore "superior" is misleading. A very pretty hotel nested in Paraggi. Rooms are in excellent condition, very clean. Parking behind the hotel at a discounted 25€/day. Portofino is only 15mn walk away via the somewhat romantic « trail of the kisses ». Be sure to double-check when you book, as the cheapest rooms have a shared bathroom and toilet.
