Stunning location! Right in the middle of the most beautiful part of Tuscany, surrounded by breathtaking typical Tuscan countryside, rolling valleys and cypress trees. We have stayed here on several occasions, as a mature couple, and with my mother-in-law and our grandson. Beautiful venue, fantastic accommodation and generous rustic breakfasts provided by Rosana each day. We would have no trouble in recommending the venue. Excellent food and drink for the budget traveller for a reasonable price, getting a seat outside is pleasant if a little windy.

Our original restaurant was closed for a private event . Workers at a nearby cafe in town pointed us towards this place for good pizza. They were right! €6 for a liter of house red wine and €7.50 for a truffle and sausage pizza. Can't beat it. The owner even bought us a round of digestives (Montenegro) when we left.

We spent 3 nights here and had an absolutely fantastic time. Our room was just perfect. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and bathroom had everything we needed. It's the best lodging during our two-week travel in Italy, much better than normal standard hotels in the cities. Wonderful experience here. Traditional Tuscan fare, but some of the better options we had had in the region. We were the only visitors (tourists) in the whole place and the cook/waitress were overly welcoming and took great care of us. The food was also excellent, the Mrs even said she had the best meal of her vacation here!

Outstanding service and impeccable food. The town is a little sleepy and does not seem to see a lot of tourists, but is exceedingly charming in our opinion. We even saw a deer hiking up the trail to the fort. Highly recommended if you are in the heart of Tuscany, and this restaurant is like the town itself, a real hidden gem.

Beautiful property that sits on a hill 500m above sea level that overlooks many hills. Truly a sight to be seen. We came here for a wine tasting and had an amazing experience. Very nice, characteristic and typical place of the Val d'Orcia. The manager, Mr. Salvatore, very attentive and always available to everyone's needs. To reach the farmhouse you have to take a dirt road between fields and cypresses. The farmhouse is in a wonderful place, the rooms furnished in a rustic Tuscan style. Spacious and clean rooms.

Well-kept, clean, spacious apartment with terrace overlooking the Val d'Orcia! In San Quirico with many photographic points nearby to visit! I will be back in another less hot period!

The structure is decentralized from San Quirico d'Orcia but all services are easily reachable in 2 minutes. The room was cozy, it had everything you need: small mini bar, towels, hairdryer. There is a shared terrace which is worth the whole structure. The town is very convenient because it is central to all the villages in the valley. Excellent value for money, we will be back!

Very nice host, communication in english is a bit rough but somehow works, delicious free homemade cakes and drinks all the time, old authentic buliding with comfortable rooms. Everything is set up nicely and the breakfast is very personal and amazing. Definitely worth a stay! :)

Really enjoyed staying here. Great view, great rooms, nice breakfast. The view over the pool to the landsight is super. Parking lots are many direct to the hotel. Restaurant in the evening is nice and affordable. On TV even YouTube is working over ethernet - great to view some scenes and soundtracks from Gladiator that was filmed in this region.

Super cosy hotel. We stayed here only 1 night but wished we stayed more. We got upgraded for a bigger room. We were greeted with tea and coffee and the breakfast was absolutely amazing, with a wide variety of things. The breakfast is served in a different building. You have to cross the town, which is a great opportunity for you to see it as well.

Had a one night stay in Bologna and was surprised by the great quality of this hotel. The only negative was the defective or badly installed water pump of our room's AC unit kicking pretty loudly at night. In summary I can highly recommend a stay.

This is a quaint place and serves a great base to enjoy some quiet time and visit the wineries of Tuscany. There is no a/c, so there will be sweating in August. But when the weather is pleasant, I’d highly recommend this establishment.

The place is very nice, the room was quite big. Upon arrival, the owner made us find the bottles of water in the room. There is a well equipped kitchen with tea, coffee and something for breakfast. I had the most perfect stay at Palazzo del Capitano! The hotel is truly a gem, you walk in and you are transported into a fairy tale. This place is really great. Arranged with taste and art attitude the spacious apartment is located right in the midlle of Val D'Orcia's heart - San Quirico D'Orcia. There is free parking just outside of the closest old town gate. If you want to have a base for daily trips to the most visited and photographed sights of Toscany, that's the place.

It provides a very unique medieval experience. The staff is attentive. The family's idea of ​​renovating this village and building hotels is quite interesting, it's well worth seeing, but after a day or two, there's not much to do.

Unfortunately, this accommodation charges 20 euros per night for the dog, which is totally overkill for a small dog. A one-time final cleaning of 20 euros would be completely sufficient. Better a little fewer frills, but reasonable prices for rooms and pets.

We stayed in one of the many satellite structures ... very spacious rooms but absolutely invaded by mosquitoes and no air conditioning. It is advisable to at least put mosquito nets on the windows so as to open the windows in the evening and not to spend the night hunting mosquitoes

This was one of the most memorable stay we had with my family. Fiorella and Giovanella are lovely and made everything to make us feel like home. The apartment is perfectly cleaned and the view on the country side is amazing. I’ll never forget this experience from the delicious cake homemade by Fiorella or the amazing wine tasting experience offered by Giovanella.

We stumbled on this winery when we drove from Sienna to Rome. After 2 weeks in Italy, our family wholeheartedly agreed that the visit to this winery, was the highlight of our trip. Nice and friendly B&B just in the middle of val d'orcia . Ownwers are very kindly person and suitable to accept any kind of straight or different couple ( lgbt ) without any problem . Good breakfast !

Immersed in the countryside, it allows you to isolate yourself from the world. san Quirico at 3.5km with an easy dirt road. Too bad for the mosquitoes outside, annoying.
