Stunning location! Right in the middle of the most beautiful part of Tuscany, surrounded by breathtaking typical Tuscan countryside, rolling valleys and cypress trees. We have stayed here on several occasions, as a mature couple, and with my mother-in-law and our grandson. Beautiful venue, fantastic accommodation and generous rustic breakfasts provided by Rosana each day. We would have no trouble in recommending the venue. Also a lovely drive into Pienza (where we got married in 2009.

Having had a long hike that day, it was lovely to arrive at our spacious luxurious rooms . Dinner was fabulous in their restaurant in the same building .. our host was very friendly and helpful.

This restaurant does not look like much from the outside but the food was delicious. Gluten free pasta was available for the first courses too. Staff were friendly.

Family owned Mamma& sons-daughter in law 🇮🇹 Probably one of the best restaurants in our 20day trip. Understated and a real gem!! Fresh pasta (also have GF pasta), incredible tagliata with porcini and also Amazon dessert. Very friendly and helpful.

Excellent food and drink for the budget traveller for a reasonable price, getting a seat outside is pleasant if a little windy.

Our original restaurant was closed for a private event . Workers at a nearby cafe in town pointed us towards this place for good pizza. They were right! €6 for a liter of house red wine and €7.50 for a truffle and sausage pizza. Can't beat it. The owner even bought us a round of digestives (Montenegro) when we left.

We spent 3 nights here and had an absolutely fantastic time. Our room was just perfect. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and bathroom had everything we needed. It's the best lodging during our two-week travel in Italy, much better than normal standard hotels in the cities. The host was extremely friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts and dinners were lovely! Highly recommend it on half board. It's in the center of Tuscany, so it's very easy to drive to everywhere!

Wonderful experience here. Traditional Tuscan fare, but some of the better options we had had in the region. Even when the entire place was seemingly reserved, they were very accommodating and thoughtful to take our orders before the large table. Marta was wonderful from beginning to end. We were the only visitors (tourists) in the whole place and the cook/waitress were overly welcoming and took great care of us. The food was also excellent, the Mrs even said she had the best meal of her vacation here!

Outstanding service and impeccable food. The town is a little sleepy and does not seem to see a lot of tourists, but is exceedingly charming in our opinion. We even saw a deer hiking up the trail to the fort. Highly recommended if you are in the heart of Tuscany, and this restaurant is like the town itself, a real hidden gem.

We had a wonderful stay in this magical place in the middle of the tuscan countryside, but anyway a short drive from montalcino. The owner is very kind and everything was perfect.

Roberto made the whole stay so much more enjoyable than it already is. If you are looking for a personal farm stay, stay with Roberto! Totally enjoyed my 3 night with him!

Beautiful property that sits on a hill 500m above sea level that overlooks many hills. Truly a sight to be seen. We came here for a wine tasting and had an amazing experience. Very nice, characteristic and typical place of the Val d'Orcia. The manager, Mr. Salvatore, very attentive and always available to everyone's needs. To reach the farmhouse you have to take a dirt road between fields and cypresses. The farmhouse is in a wonderful place, the rooms furnished in a rustic Tuscan style. Spacious and clean rooms.

Fabulous farmhouse, really beautiful. Located in a beautiful area and framed by the hills with olive trees. I was here 3 days on the occasion of a 3 days of photography only, perfect place to move around and take pictures.

Very quiet place with 4 double bedrooms. On the other hand very isolated and the road of access (5 kms) is not asphalted.

It was everything we needed for our night in Tuscany! Beautiful views, the apartment was clean! Highly recommend 😊

Very nice host, communication in english is a bit rough but somehow works, delicious free homemade cakes and drinks all the time, old authentic buliding with comfortable rooms. Everything is set up nicely and the breakfast is very personal and amazing. Definitely worth a stay! :)

Really enjoyed staying here. Great view, great rooms, nice breakfast. The view over the pool to the landsight is super. Parking lots are many direct to the hotel. Restaurant in the evening is nice and affordable. On TV even YouTube is working over ethernet - great to view some scenes and soundtracks from Gladiator that was filmed in this region.

Had a one night stay in Bologna and was surprised by the great quality of this hotel. The only negative was the defective or badly installed water pump of our room's AC unit kicking pretty loudly at night. In summary I can highly recommend a stay.

Great customer service, beautiful location, very romantic rooms. However, the bed in our room was terrible. I prefer a hard bed but this was almost impossible to sleep on. Other than that I had a wonderful experience here.

The place is very nice, the room was quite big. Upon arrival, the owner made us find the bottles of water in the room. There is a well equipped kitchen with tea, coffee and something for breakfast. Then we were given a coupon for breakfast at a nearby bakery. The place is very close to the vegetable gardens and located in a great location. Very calm. We had a great time.

I had the most perfect stay at Palazzo del Capitano! The hotel is truly a gem, you walk in and you are transported into a fairy tale. Okay, I must confess, in the same building where the Artists' Refuge is located, there is also the Rifugio degli Amanti where we were. My husband found it with Booking. This place is really great. Arranged with taste and art attitude the spacious apartment is located right in the midlle of Val D'Orcia's heart - San Quirico D'Orcia. There is free parking just outside of the closest old town gate. If you want to have a base for daily trips to the most visited and photographed sights of Toscany, that's the place.

It provides a very unique medieval experience. The staff is attentive. The family's idea of ​​renovating this village and building hotels is quite interesting, it's well worth seeing, but after a day or two, there's not much to do.

Unfortunately, this accommodation charges 20 euros per night for the dog, which is totally overkill for a small dog. A one-time final cleaning of 20 euros would be completely sufficient. Better a little fewer frills, but reasonable prices for rooms and pets.

This was one of the most memorable stay we had with my family. Fiorella and Giovanella are lovely and made everything to make us feel like home. The apartment is perfectly cleaned and the view on the country side is amazing. I’ll never forget this experience from the delicious cake homemade by Fiorella or the amazing wine tasting experience offered by Giovanella.
